How do Arab women "really" feel about Black men?
I'm an AfroAmerican Muslim man. I'd like to start some type of dialog or communication between Arab women and AfroAmerican men, Muslims ofcourse. I'd like to know from "Arab Women" themselves, how they see and feel about AfroAmerican men in general?
my name is amira and both my parents are native of yemen. we are all brothers and sister in islam so your ethnicity shouldn't make a difference. i live in the uk where a lot of yemeni women are married to muslim black men. i the us states i believe that its a different story because family pressure seems to be stronger to stay with in our yemen culture. personally in uk i've seen more black men i found attractive than white. but thats just my personal preference
I am an Iraqi female and I was raised in the U.S.. I have found that many people have not let go of ideals that you have to marry within your race, when what is most important is that we marry practicing Muslims. I think every woman has different taste. I personally know that myself and several of my Arab female friends find Black men attractive.
I am married to a Black Arab... meaning he is Arabic.... it is his language and he is from an Arab country. But he clearly is of African descent and is always mistaken as a non-Arab, more specifically people always think he is from Nigeria.
We live in a Muslim country and our "mixed marriage" has barely even raised eyebrows. We have to live our lives by the Qur'an and Sunnah, not by man-made restrictions insha'Allah.

As salaam alaikum i am african american woman
born and raised in the U.S and married to a Somali/Arab Muslim brother alhumdulilah. His mother is Eygptian and father is somali, but he was born and raised in Eygpt. And his only language is Arabic, he does not speak somali, or has never been to somalia. I am black/african american Muslimah revert alhumdulilah, born and raised in the U.S. and i am LOVING my husband. I REALLY like black arab men, they have such a manly strong stamina about them.

There is a possibility you could meet an Arab Christian woman! There is a presumption that all Arabs are Muslim...which goes to show once again how ignorant the world is about Arabs and Muslims. Good Luck...I guess!

In love with a black man
Here is my problem. I am fell in love with someone my family thinks i shouldn't even talk to. I come from a pretty strict paliestinian muslim family where we don't date, and my father thinks i should avoid men at all costs. I am not as religous as most muslims and becuase i grew up in america i am very american. Marrying the love of my life would give my parents a stroke and in their eyes shame my family. But I have to spend the rest of my life with this person, shouldn't i have a say in what i want. I have dated several other people, Tried to convince myself I could marry an arabic man. But i guess when i fell...i fell hard. Its been a year and a half, we haven't dated the enitre time becuase of my situation and a choice i have to make but in that time i see that i don;t want to live with out him. Any suggestions?

MY mom is yemeni, and my dad is somalian. i know my parents would want me to marry somalian guy. but the end of the day it is up to the Lady to go for it or find herself someone else.

Its absurd to have any restrictions on race. Islam does not recognise race, we are all muslims. I am British white and I have a Indonesian wife. Her parents didn't have any problem. Racism is a great sickness in the muslim community and hell fire is waiting for those who oppose marriage on the grounds of race. However a parent is right if they want to know the history of the other intended. Its important to know that you are marrying someone who is going to stable, and you can get that info from the parents of the boy or girl to be married.
Let Parents be warned that it is big sin to prevent marriage on the grounds of race or nationality. We are all children of Adam.

christian and muslims
I was born and raised in the us as a christian and yes, i am a white american young women. my boyfriend of nearly two years is muslim. He is from Oman. Our relationship is strong and growing. We do not care what other people think. We support each other. I have always been attracted to Arabic men, ever since I was very young. I am willing to change in support of our relationship and our future together.

Arab gals and black men
Well, firstly i am not an arab gal but i am a muslim gal from Singapore. I do have lots of arab friends here and so far we have agreed that colours doesn't make a different. Its the matter of the heart. Attitude and character that counts. Being white, brown or yellow does not gurantee you that the person could bring happiness.
I too myself used to date a ghanian man. He is nice but i'm afraid his faith in Allah is pretty shakey.
So i think arab gals now a days are more open to their feelings. I shall not dare to comment more but this is just an opinion from a simple gal in Singapore.
