Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
The doors to the auditorium open as light penetrates into the gloom that filled this place just moments ago. As a breeze sweeps into the dark recesses that resided within a tentative step is taken as a petite girl with shoulder-length hair walks in. Tap, tap, her footsteps echo in the shadows. Her white hair shines, an inverted silhouette against the darkness, a shining beacon within it, though she herself is swallowed within for a few moments before a dim light flickers on, lighting up the stage.
Many memories have been played and replayed here in the history of the school, from bored students sitting as teachers present different subjects, to cheering crowds honoring a band of artists who feel as though their true path in life is to create beautiful melodies or rampant noises, allowing the songs that fill their heads to leap out into the crowd, perhaps gifting them with eternal life in the form of their music being handed down through the ages.
But right now, the stage is dim, and the only one here is the girl, whose pleated blue skirt hangs around her legs, white loafer socks going nearly to her knees, which are shown on the rare occasion that her skirt twists in the breeze. Then her pale legs can be seen for a moment, white, the living white of milk, not the dead one of snow. Her pale, heart-shaped face is framed by that shining white hair, and in turn frames those big blue eyes, lipid pools into which one could fall down, deeper, deeper, deeper into, to be lost in ... enjoying the whole way.
She walks in shyly, wondering if there was anyone here; no, it appears as though she was alone, and she clambers onto the stage. The red bow under her chin bounced one; twice, and falls silent as she regains her balance. One could see she was not particularly agile, perhaps even the opposite, a little clumsy, but she still had a certain grace to her, the way she touched her hair as she folded it behind her ear, the way she smiled at the rows of empty seats.
Looking into the deep shadows of the seats, she wondered what it would be like to perform in front of a large audience, revelling in their applause as they thanked her for a performance well-done... But up until now, the Guardian had always forbidden her such acts of showing herself to the world. Finally she had gotten permission... though she was uncertain if she truly wished to sing in front of others. She visualized the auditorium, packed and filled with the sounds and images of dozens of people, all coming to listen to her, and her face brightened. Yes, she wanted to perform in that way, send her heart and soul out to the people, color their gloomy, gray days, perhaps just a little, and make their lives a little more glamorous... But would she ever be able to do so?
Well, nothing for it. She stood, her head bowed for a moment as she concentrated on the song, and began to sing, letting her soprano voice carry out. Her shoulders still, only her diaphragm moving as she breathed correctly, her mouth nearly never closing as she sang, hitting each note correctly and clearly, articulating the words well with teeth, tongue, and lips. One could hear she had worked hard on singing, and clearly enjoyed it as she began to put more effort into the song, moving her body a little to the melody. A sheen of sweat soon covered her forehead, a sign of her exertion, and as the song ended, she wiped it away with a single sleeve, happy with her performance, bowing toward the imaginary crowd that might cheer for her one day.
Walking by the auditorium Karrody can hear the sounds of a comforting voice. Not having anywhewre he needs to be, he stops and turns to enter the auditorium, expecting more people to be inside. Finding it empty, Karrody doesn't enter to far, he stands still listening to the girl sing alone as he has barely walked through the entrance and has came only a few feet into the isle of seats that are before the stage.
Listening to the song, Karrody can almost here the violins behind the girl as she sings. The music following her voice, with a creshendo in the middle amd coming to a soft close at the end.
Now approaching the stage as she has finished the song, Karrody claps softly as he walks towards the lone girl. "Bravo." He says in his thick French accent. "I felt as though I were at a performance. You are very talented with your voice. Might I know of who can make such a heartening sound, to bring me away from my path?" Karrody asks the girl, his violet eyes searching hers.

Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
OOC: Yeah, it's a great song.
Nessa took a single step backwards, taken aback for a moment. She had been absolutely sure that no one was there, and now this strange boy emerged from the shadows while she had bowed down towards the imaginary crowd. She straightened, and tried to study the boy. He appeared a little younger than her... yet towering in height, and she wondered what kind of giant he'd be when he grew up... He wore a trenchcoat of the deepest black that matched both his hair and his dark denim trousers which seemed to sink him deeper still into the gloom that filled the auditorium.
"I felt as though I were at a performance. You are very talented with your voice. Might I know of who can make such a heartening sound, to bring me away from my path?"
His voice comforted her a little, showing that he was no apparition of the past come to haunt the present, something quite believable in the dark auditorium. At his words, she bowed to him, and said, "Thank you for your kind words, though I apologize for taking you ... away from your path. My name is Nessa," she said, hands behind her back and a smile on her face, radiant in the shadows of the auditorium. Her head tilted a little to the side, causing her shoulder-length hair to tilt a little before she asked, "What's your name? And I'm glad you enjoyed the song... would you like another one?"
Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
As the girl replies to him Karrody slowly moves closer to the stage, so that the distance between the two is not seemingly uncomfortable. Karrody smiles at the girl as she apologizes. A slight nod towards her as she asks if he would like to hear another song. "I would be Karrody de`Champion, of Lizelle, France."
The sensation that something isn't normal might be felt. Like that of a deer grazing and a wolf is near. Though it can't be seen. It would simply be a feeling. One that became noticeable suddenly. Was it after he smiled, was it when she was singing, but she didn't notice it untill now. What is that feeling. Most humans don't recognize it. It is an istinct, that of the feeling to flee when in the presence of a predator. Not that of fright, not that of anger, something dofferent. Something that those who believe themselves to be at the top of the food chain to never have knowledge of.

Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
Another might have felt the instinct to freeze, panic, perhaps even run away in fear as some baser instinct overtook them. Nessa, on the other hand, had been grown in a test tube and had been raised in a labratory for most of her adolescent life, and had no such insticts to warn her of imminent danger, of the things that could easily consume her being, and of the great danger she was in, being so close to a partial vampire like Karrody, who might very well prefer a quick snack after a song of hers.
However, she felt none of those fears and instead said, "Nice to meet you, Karrody... And I'm glad you enjoyed the song and are willing to listen to another one," a cute smile upon her heart-shaped face. She took deep breaths, readying herself for the next song, and bent her knees a little to add to her stability as she let the words flow out, a sad melody that could pierce the hardest heart.
It was a sad melody, one that talked of loneliness that was present in every human being, something that nearly everyone could identify with in some way, the feeling of being trapped in a gilded cage unsure what the outside world could show, with the added fear of what the outside world might hold. A song of illusions and delusions cracked and broken, and the everpresent question in all human hearts whether they could truly love another--and if, one day, they would find the one who was meant for them.
Nessa conveyed all this beautifully, swaying and rocking with the melody while her hand and face articulated the feelings that could be evoked from the song. She ended on a high note, looking at Karrody for some kind of approval, hoping he enjoyed listening as much as she enjoyed singing.
Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
Listening politely, Karrody takes a seat in the front row of the auditorium. As he sits quietly her song flows through all parts uninterrupted and finally to the end. As the song ends, Nessa could see Karrody sitting in the seat, and can hear a light clapping sound as his hands come together softly, not needing to clap loudly to convey his appreciation for her song as he is the only one that makes up her entire audience for this performance. "Very well done. Would that be the entirety of your performance?" Karrody asks as his hands come to a rest together.

Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
OOC: A considerable amount of the song's beauty is unfortunately lost in translation, but here's roughly what it says:
"Not if you don't want it to be," answered Nessa, a dazzling smile on her lips. She was beginning to really enjoy this, and felt up at least for one more song, one most probably that he didn't know--most people outside of Israel never heard a word of this language, much less understood its intricacies or subtleties that tied into it, but at least he could enjoy the melody, something that touched her deep inside.
The song was a romantic one of willingness to sacrifice one's own pleasure for the sake one's beloved, feel hurt and pain for that other one's happiness... while at the end coming out even happier and more in love than before. It was a song that strummed on Nessa's heart strings, one she felt she could identify with, and this made it all the more personal for her, a song that made her want to laugh at its words, say something along the lines of, "Yes, I wish I had someone like that that I could sacrifice things for," while at the same time making her want to cry at its sadness, and the pain that the poet who wrote the song must have felt.
She ended the song, eyes wet with emotion, though no tears leaking. She felt as though she could take on the world, go through any performance at the moment... while at the same time feeling a sadness so deep and heavy that it threatened to crush her very consciousness, the slightly sad feeling of being inadequate and wondering if anyone would--could, even, love her and be loved by her one day. Was she good enough for anyone? She didn't know, and while she prepared herself for the fact that she would never be good enough, at the same time she kept a secret place in her heart hopeful that some day her shining knight on a white horse would appear, telling her he loved her, and that she would love him, and that they would be happy together--yes, she didn't care about being rich, gaining power, or achieving any real ends. She simply wanted to be happy, and wondered if that would ever come to pass.
After a moment of contemplation during which her face became sad for only a second, the only sign that she was hurting inside, she looked back up at Karrody, her usual smile present as she reminded herself of where she was--one didn't show the audience anything but a smile--the performance was as much theirs as one's own. "I hope you enjoyed that one as much as you enjoyed the others, Karrody-san." She came forward toward the edge of the stage, and tried to jump down from the meter-tall stage, and being her usual clumsy self, landed badly, tripping for a moment and landing in Karrody's chair, their faces only inches apart.
Her mouth was slightly open, closing and opening as she tried to form words as she found herself so close to a boy she had just met a few minutes ago. Another few moments passed, her heart beating strongly and loudly in her ears as she stared with deep blue eyes into his own, unsure of what to do before quickly picking herself up and backing away, bowing all the while. "Gomenasai!" she said, hands clasped inside her skirts as she continued bowing, really truly sorry about coming so close to him like that, even by accident. "I'm really sorry about that," she continued, feeling heavy of heart, and afraid that she might have offended him terribly--after all, if someone came that close to her that suddenly, she would have frozen up, terrified at the sudden close contact forced upon her.
Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
As Nessa stumbles after coming down from the stage. Karrody waits for her to pick herself up before doing anything. Nodding as she apologizes he stands himself up. "Don't dwell on it." And then it is like it never happened. Well, atleast to the way he acts. He acts as though it really hadn't happened. Leaving any reason for him to say anything further about it in the chair that he just removed himself from.
"Why would you not enjoy your last one?" Karrody asks, thinking about something she recently said.

Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)"Eh?" asked Nessa, a little confused before waving her hands in front, trying to show that he had gotten the wrong idea. "No, I enjoyed that song a lot, perhaps even more than the others..." Her arms went down, and a slightly sad smile appeared on her face, her shoulders dropping just a little. "It's just that that song holds a special significance for me... the words are so beautiful--I'm not sure if you understood them, but they're ones I feel as though I can relate with and be a part of, as though the words of the song are something that belong to me in some way, either that I made them mine, or that I belong to them... or perhaps both...? I'm unsure. But I know I really like that song," she finishes, a little embaressed that she had rambled on in such a way.
Her head hands a little as she hides her reddening cheeks. "I ... I probably bore you with these rambling thoughts, don't I?" she asked, a cute giggle escaping as though to laugh at her own embaressment, perhaps making it smaller in the process. She looks at her shoes, and wonders if he thinks that she's a total klutz, gifted with a beautiful voice and an empty head. She desperately hoped he wouldn't think that of her, but she felt speechless, trying unsuccessfully to think of something that might make up for her clumsiness and bad way with words.
Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
Listening quietly KArrody doesn't do much other then understand what hse meant. He has no reason to react to anything, becasue she gave him nothing to react to. Then, she thinks she bores him. He smiles for a breif moment, none that would insinuate laughter then looks at her. "It is quite difficult to bore me." Karrody replies. Perhaps in a way to seem as though he isn't one that would be that interesting. Or, mayhaps he is just easily amused. He does leave a lot to be explained, but the amount he has said, might allow her to continue. Well, like was said. It might.....

Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)"Oh... I see..." Nessa said, suddenly feeling shy, though she returns his smile with a cute grin of her own. Feeling a little more comfortable, though still considerably shy, she plops down elegantly into a chair to his right. "I'm glad that we met, Karrody... would you tell me a little about yourself? I used to be here at school for a considerable time, but had to leave for a few months during which I had an ... accident that took my memories away from me. So if we already met or something like that, I'm very sorry I don't recognize you. But even if I don't recognize you, or we hadn't met in the past, let's be good friends from now on, alright?" she asked, a sweet smile on her face, eyes trustingly half-closed, head tilted slightly to the side in a cute expression of hope.
The question about Karrody himself still lay open, and could be answered or forgotten as Karrody wished.
As Nessa seemingly gives a show of trust towards Karrody, he simply looks at the girl. He doesn't even know her, and she likely knows even less of him. Even then, she isn't likely to learn much about him. There aren't few here that have known much about him. One person had, an acquantaince he had from here. They did many things together trying to help each other unravel the mysteries between them and what they were. It simply showed that they were even less alike then any had imagined. Even him and his companion at that time. So if he didn't know much about himself. How can she be so trusting of him.
This intrigued Karrody a little bit and he figured he'd learn a little about his girl before passing her off as justy another face in the crowd. "You seem to be quite trusting of others." Karrody states, almost out of nowhere. His words leave the impression that perhaps he isn't one to be trusted. Or maybe they do the exact opposite. It is hard to tell how you should feel about this young man, that appears barely old enough to be here in Highschool.
He appears much younger then he really is. Though most don't know that, as it isn't something most ask. His age that is. He usually doesn't give the chance. But every once in a while there is an opening for uch a question. Is now a time. Or maybe it is exactly the wrong time. All there are is questions. Though there is only one way to get a question answered though right.

Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
Nessa tilts her head the other way, a confused expression blooming on her face. Karrody had answered neither of her questions, simply saying a single statement in response... To someone else, the words might appear mysterious, hinting at many possibilities, at enigmatic meanings, of things to trust and not to trust, of dozens of curtains of double-speak and bluffs... However, all that was lost on Nessa, a sunny grin replacing the confused expression on her face, lighting up the dark auditorium with its radiance.
"I suppose so," she said with a light laugh. She leaned back into the deep cushions of the chair and rocked her legs idly against the seat, rising into thin air to fall back against the seat, to trampoline back into the air. "You can't go through life by distrusting everyone you meet... It's like living half-dead, you can't truly live." She looks up at the ceiling for a moment, as though contemplating her words before looking at him, a sunny smile on her face. "That's why I choose to trust everyone until they prove me wrong, or until I feel as though I can't trust them," she says happily before sinking back into the comfortable chair.
Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
As Nessa speaks Karrody simply remains quiet lettign his thoughts pass through hs mind as he has a few different things he can express, but not having one to immediately decide on for a reply. After a few short moments of quiet between them, though not enough to be an awckward silence, Karrody finally says something.
"I suppose if I were to tell you not to trust me then, that would be contradicting, no?" And it is simple and easily understood, though not necessarily. If a liar said that he lied, is he lieing or telling the truth?

Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
Nessa giggles at his question--while a leapord may not change his spots, people were no leapords, and could change in time, and did not always have to go with their first instincts--something that changed them from the animal kingdom, giving them the will and the freedom to choose to act in whatever way they wanted to, and even the worst liar might tell the truth at times.
"It wouldn't necessarily be contradicting," said Nessa after a moment of thinking. "But on the other hand," she continued, having apparently come to a conclusion, "if you warn me of betrayal, doesn't that mean that you care enough about me to not want me to get hurt through betrayal? Which means that you'd also not do anything to hurt me, right?" she asked, happy with her logic, a sweet smile on her face as her head tilted slightly to the side, eyes half-closed trustingly.
Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
A small shrug of his shoulders as it can be taken as he agrees with her logic or doesn't care. Perhaps it is one of those things that requires a few words to follow along. He stands as though he is ready to go even though they are in a conversation, he can't just stay here all day.
"Perhaps the warning simply allows that much more of a challenge." Karrody asks, his predatory gleam in his eye, either what it is, or mistaken as a smile, as it almost seems to accentuate the small movement of his mouth that could be just that, a small smile.
This is where I put more of my random thoughts. :)

Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
Unexpectedly and without any warning the door to the auditorium opened and closed as someone stepped inside, Yakoutio yawned and stretched before walking forwards across the isle to make his way to the stage. His second secret studying area, especially after the school roof had so hot due to the sudden summer season, must warmer than an English summer, which mostly consisted of rain and slight warmth at times. Today had been Pytho’s day to dress, therefore Yakoutio was wearing a pair of pointed leather boots with raised heals and metal buckles on their sides. A irregularly tight pair of black leather trousers that looked more like a horse riders trousers, and to top this off a large white shirt with frills running up its neck and sleeves. He was also wearing eyeliner, which had seemed to have run a small bit after he had cried after seeing what Pytho had made him wear, but he had reapplied this and swallowed his pride, it was he after all who had made the proposal of swapping days of changing clothes. He would continue walking down the corridor until finally passing the seats where Nessa and Karrody were sitting, not noticing at first but stopping as soon as he head speech, his heals clicking on the floor as he stopped.
"Perhaps the warning simply allows that much more of a challenge."
Yakoutio stopped and turned around to see someone he didn’t expect to see in a long time, well, he had seen him, a lot of times, but never actually seen him as such.
“Karrody. Wow you’re not invisible and stalking girls.” Yakoutio said in an impressed tone of voice before looking at Nessa and blushing, “And, Nessa, hey I’m sorry for the thing I did which I promise I will never tell anyone for as long as I live because you can trust me.”
He smiled a wide nervous smile, feeling like he had just walked into something now.
Re: Imagining a Crowd... (Open)
Nessa began laughing sweetly when Karrody mentioned the challenge, but the laughter quickly turned into a look of apprehensive the moment Yakoutio came in, bringing her knees up onto the chair as she held them close to her, as if trying to protect herself from some bad memory that plagued her.
At his first words her eyes widened and she looked at Karrody with a puzzled look on her face, a single eyebrow lifted, while her head tilted to the side in confusion. "Invisible... and stalking girls...?" she asked, mostly herself as she looked at Karrody, waiting for him to deny the accusation.
The second sentence that Yakoutio said made her freeze in her seat, mouth quavering as she remembered exactly why she felt such a level of apprehension from the young boy who wore make-up that matched his trousers and a white shirt that might have been more in place at a renaissance fair. She shot a single glance at Karrody and then her gaze went back to Yakoutio, a single curled hand going closer to her mouth as it her lips quavered and trembled, afraid that his words were teasing, and that he'd let her secret be known to the entire school.
