The band starts off the rythem and Erik begins to sing Erik: "It starts with one thing I dont know why Doesn't even matter how hard you try keep that in mind I designed this rythem To explain in due time All I know." Erik is seen practicing sword techniques in his living room on a dummy assailant, but not getting the style down well enough. Slash, cut, swipe, lunge, parry. All wrong. Erik tosses his sword away in frustration and round house kicks the dummy's head, knocking it clean off. He hits himself in the head for being so stupid and not being able to get the technique down. Time is a valuable thing Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings Watch it count down to the end of the day The clock ticks life away Its so unreal. The sweat is building on Erik's brow as he is fighting a Diaboromon in the web. Without concious thought he is flying though blasts and projectile attacks. Time stops and Erik freezes right infront of a blast before it hits him. Time resumes and the blasts connects, Erik reels in a scorching pain and then Diaboromon's fist connects with Erik's jaw in the form of an upper cut. Didnt look out below Watch the time go right out the window Wasted it all just to watch you go I kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart. What is meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time before when (sceen shown as the next lyricks are sung) Erik powers up for a huge light wave, fires it with all his might, screaming as his power flows from his hands towards his target. He amps it up a few times, creating a few bright bursts along the stream. After a while of continual screaming and light blasting, Erik faints and falls to the ground, creating a small crater I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesnt even matter I had to fall To loose it all But in the end It doesnt even matter" Duncan takes over and beings to sing "One thing, I dont know why Doesnt even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind I designed this rythem, to remind myself how I tried so hard In spite of the way you were mocking me Acting like I was part of your property Remembering all the times you faught with me Im surprized it got so far." Duncan is seen dueling with another Immortal in a grassy field. They have been at it for over 4 days. They are matching eachother's skills perfectly, blocking eachother's attacks. They have gone without food, water, or sleep for the full lenth of time. Finally, Duncan gets a solid slice in and the other Immortal looses his dueling arm. Duncan delivers the final blow and takes in the Quickening. "Things arent the way they were before You wouldnt even reconize me anymore Not that you knew me back then But it all comes back to me in the end You kept everything inside and even though i tried, it all fell apart. What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when-" (Sung during video clip) Duncan is seen dueling, and loosing to a large Immortal, towering over him with a large bastard sword in hand. Duncan is missing his left arm and has blood all over him. Suddenly the giant's sword cuts through Duncan's neck. Lightening quickly erupts as soon as Duncan's cold, lifeless body, hits the ground "I Tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesnt even matter I had to fall To loose it all But in the end It doesnt even matter" Both Erik and Duncan sing "I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go And for all this Theres only one thing you should know" "I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go And for all this Theres only one thing you should know" "I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesnt even matter I had to fall To loose it all But in the end It doesnt even matter" "I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesnt even matter I had to fall To loose it all But in the end It doesnt even matter" screen fades to black as the music dies down. Erik and Duncan are both seen dead after each of their own valiant fights in pools of blood.
