Job Title: CUSTOMER SERVICE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS - Honolulu
Position: Responsible for the safety, welfare, comfort, and enjoyment of passengers; cabin preparation; en route cabin or ground service; administrative functions. Perform duties in a professional manner in accordance with prescribed policies, procedures, and regulations. Other related duties as customarily performed.
Training: Customer Service Agent training is for 2 weeks, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing training with a minimum score of 90%. 2-3 weeks of Flight Attendant training follows shortly thereafter.
Probationary Period: 6 months from date of hire
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Hawaii DriverĀ?s License
Able to lift 70 pounds
Able to obtain AOA Badge
Dependable, reliable, flexible with schedule, and self-motivated
Status: Full-time or Part-time
Pay: $6.25 per hour + $1.75 per flight segment - currently in renegotiations
Major Benefits: HMSA (medical, dental, drug and vision) single plan paid for by Island Air. Family plan paid for by Island Air upon full-time status after at least 3 years of part-time service.
Travel - After 90 days of employment, unlimited free stand-by passes on Island Air for employee, spouse, dependent children and parents of employee. Travel benefits are available on other designated carriers based on interline agreements.
Group Life Insurance for F/T, Long Term Disability Insurance, 401(k) and Flexible Spending Plans, Sick Leave, Vacation Leave for F/T.
Hours: Hours vary from 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and may lengthen as routes are added. Part-time employees are normally scheduled for 4- to 6-hour shifts, 5 days a week. Must be flexible with schedule and able to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
