Hey! This is a topic for talking about Clay's cd release. I figured that we would have to make plans pretty soon, and I made a new topic because I wanted to start a countdown on a topic!!
Hey, so do you guys want to come meet at Augie before going to the party? I could show you my room and give you a tour and stuff. Just tell me when you want to come. It will be so fun! I want Clay's cd now!

Kourtney doesn't get out of tennis until 6, so we couldn't get to augie until 6:45. We would probably have enough time to pick you up and see your room, but then we would have to get to davenport.
New E-mail from Party Coordinator
I wanted to let you all know how our party plans are coming.
1. There is a chance that Sam Goody may get involved with our party. I have been given a name to contact person and will be e-mailing him to see what his interest is. The Des Moines party coordinator was contacted by the district manager for Sam Goody's in that area and she is excited about being involved in their party. She gave me the name and e-mail address of the district manager in our area. So, we will see. I am sure he will want an approximate count of how many will be coming to our party, and how many CD's they will be needing to purchase. I know some of you have already given me this information, but would appreciate it if you could just confirm it by responding to this e-mail. If Sam Goody's does not work out, we still have WalMart. I will want to know an approximate count for them as well, so that I can contact their music manager next week to make sure they will be able to sell us the CD at midnight. The guy I talked to previously said is should be OK, but I am going to want to confirm this.
2. General Mills has offered to provide all of the CD Release parties with cases of single serving size boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. As all of you probably know, this is Clay's favorite cereal. They should be shipping it to all party coordinators within the next week.
3. As I told you in an earlier e-mail, the SteepleGate Inn has a lounge with a wall sized TV. I got a confirmation from the manager that they will allow us to watch Jay Leno's Tonight Show on this TV so that we may watch Clay's performance together. We will have a different big screen TV to watch Clay videos in our party room. We have to be out of that room by 10:00 and they don't have cable in that room anyway. That's why we will be going to Lucky's lounge for Leno.
4. I am in the process of making gift bags of fun Clay items for everyone at the party. I was thinking we could play Clay Trivia for fun, and I have a few inexpensive prizes for that and any other game we might think of to play.
5. We will be participating in a nationwide scrapbook project that will be given to Clay later in November. We will have two 12 X 12 pages to work with. We will probably take pictures of our party and we would also probably sign the pages and maybe write a short message to Clay. I'll include the city and state where our party is being held and will decorate it appropriately.
6. I have created a flyer for our party with contact information. If any of you would like me to e-mail you this flyer so that you can print it out and use it as an invitation for friends, please let me know.
Finally, if any of you have ideas and are eager to be involved with the party plans, let me know that as well. Let me know what day would work best for you. A possibility for me would be this coming Saturday afternoon. We are less that two weeks away from this thing - so its really getting exciting!

This sounds like its going to be huge. Thats really cool. I would like to go, however, as you could probably guess, I won't be buying Clay's cd. Don't get me wrong, I like his music a lot, and I would listen to the cd if I had it, but I can't really afford it. Like Lindsay, I think I might have to cheat on the Clay Trivia, (uhh...yeah....we all know that Clay's favorite cereal is Cinnamon Toast Crunch...cough cough). (I just added a siggie made from pics that I ripped off of the Lord of the Rings trailer that was released yesterday, I hope it works...)
Hey! I got another e-mail from Debbie! I will e-mail her back and tell her who's going. I find it amusing that people forget to change the posticon that appears with the topic. It's like, I'm going to the Clay party... Anyway, cheating is bad. Tisk tisk...
I spoke with the manager of the Northpark Sam Goody store this morning. He is very excited about being involved with our party and is a big Clay fan himself. He is going to help us with advertising, so we will see what happens. Hopefully more Clay fans will join our party! The more the merrier!
I told the Sam Goody manager that our party is at the SteepleGate Inn and gave him an outline of what were are doing. He said that when we finish watching Leno, we can all head over to Sam Goody's to purchase our CD's. He is willing to stay open from 12:00 midnight til 1:00. This is great news!

yay!!! Northpark Mall is the biggest mall in Iowa. I haven't been there yet, but I've been to Southpark Mall. We are going to have alot of fun! I don't have class Tuesday morning either, so I won't have to wake up early. I wonder what will be in the Clay packet...hmm...

Ahh!! In one week, I will be sitting here listening to Clay's album!! I'm so excited!! It will be so much better than listening to him growl! Although, I do like to listen to that! If you haven't heard it, then you really should go do that. There's a link on the Clay topic and it's one of the links in my section of the group story! "I would be the smarrrrrtest man!"

Twas the Night Before Clayton’s Album Release
T’was the night before Clay’s album release and all through the towns
Smiles spread across millions; there were no frowns
The CDs were packaged in boxes with care
For people that bought them for themselves and to share!
Raleigh’s nerd was nestled all snug in his bed
While dreams of going platinum flashed through his head
And Jess in her Clay shirt and me my Clay hat
Wished Tuesday would come *snap* -just like that!
When down in the city there arose such a clatter
We new it was the Claymates…and their fantastic Clay chatter!
The went to CD release parties held down the street
To talk about Clay and his size 13 ½ feet.
The glow of the clock shined yellow and bright
The minute hand was about to reach midnight
I looked out the window and they began to appear
Claymates were flooding the streets with red underwear.
There was a wrinkly man with a sparkle in his eye
And I knew right away that it had to be Clive
More rapid than Ruben fans, these Claymates they came
And they whistled and shouted and screamed out Clay’s name...
“Go Clayton! Go RCA!”
“Now 19 and Fox, did you ever try once to think out of the box?”
“Clay is the best! He will be Platinum soon!”
“We love him to death and he sure makes us swoon!”
As dry leaves before the wild hurricane fly
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky
Clive left the crowd and up he flew
With a UPS sleigh full of Clay singles, and his new CD too!
And then in an instant he came up to each one
Listen to ‘Invisible,’ I gotta run!
They clutched the CD in the palms of their hands
And smiled down at Clay’s face on ‘Measure of a Man’
He was dressed in a pinstripe shirt, from his head to his arms
His smile brought out his sweet, southern charm
He sat on a chair that was teal, maybe blue
They stared at it more and screamed, “Clay, we love you!”
His eyes, how they twinkled – so blue and so bright!
His hair was spiked and flat ironed just right!
His cute little mouth was so perfectly set
He looked hot, yet real and they wouldn’t forget!
Clive took it to the record store where it sat on the rack
So all of Clay’s fans could get a large dose of Clack
The cellophane wrapper covered it well
Clive was so excited – he knew it would sell!
Pretty soon people were crowding the stores
One copy wasn’t enough – they all wanted one more
Some of them fought and some of them swore
But by the end of the day, none were left in the store
People all over the world knew his name
Oh yes, Clay Aiken – he went platinum… ding-dang!
They wanted to see that hot jersey clutch
They needed more Clay…they loved him so much!
And so it was the revenge of the nerds
As Clayton had predicted and Simon had to learn
Clay Aiken became a legend that day
And no one would ever be able to take that away.

Yeah, some people are pretty odd. Clay's cd is really good! It went double platinum already!!!! I really like 'Measure of a Man.' It's the best song!!!
