June 1st - June 19th
It's almost summer! The last few weeks of school have come, and students will need to study hard for their final exams! Don't let up yet, or your grades won't be what you want them to. Of course, the weather is almost perfect and pristine, in attempts to lure students away from their studies.
I've noticed a few things
I've noticed that those who have professor characters here act as if no one's in the classroom except the students who show up. For example, in the History of Magic N.E.W.T. level class, Carsa and Sean are the only two students posting at the moment, along with Professor Indreve. But we're all acting like that's it, no one else is coming into the room. Couldn't we have fictional students in there as well if there aren't going to be anymore 'real' students showing up? It would help, since we still need to get classes rolling to that Professor Indreve can actually cover the subject material.
At least, that's what I do with my Herbology classes. If no one happens to be posting, I just go along and teach anyway.
Another thing I've noticed... when characters arrive later in a thread, they mostly always act as though they're late. Couldn't they just RP from the beginning and pretend they had been there from the start? Unless they really do want to be late, in which case there's no problem.
Good points there. I've been playing Cy like there are other students around even if there aren't any active posters besides myself. Or even if there's just a couple, I don't have him make a remark on how meager the class size is. I sort of pretend there are other "background" students hanging about.
