Name: Johnson Minako "Mina"

Grade: 9th grade

Appearance: Straightened short black hair that stops before the shoulders. On both sides it's parted with a blue ribbon. Dark brown eyes compliment her caramel skin tone, contrasting with her emotions. Her eyebrows are thicker than most girls but still thinner than most guys. She usually applies a glossy dark pink lip stick to her lips, which are full and reflect her mixed heritage(Japanese and Jamaican).

She wears a white shirt that clings to her form. Her black mini skirt falls just above her knees. Over her white shirt she wears a long black sleeveless coat that stops a bit past her knees. It's buttoned from her waist to just under her ample chest. The coat has white linning around the edges where the sleeves should be, where the buttons are, and at the bottom of the coat.

Depending on the season the coat is modified for optimal conditions, in the winter Mina would wear a sleeved version of that coat and have it buttoned down much farther. In the warmer seasons, she wears black sandals with thin straps. In the colder seasons she wears black boots that go up her ankle but fall short of her knees. Her black mini skirt would be replaced with long dark blue jeans that hug her form.

She stands at 5'6 with her legs making up much of her height. Along her right arm is an oval shaped birth mark. It's dark brown in colour and contrasts with her caramel skin. Her finger and toe nails are painted dark blue, some of the weaves in her hair have dark blue along the ends. Her ears are unpierced and she wears fake eye glasses from time to time.

Personality: Mina is a very friendly person who is easy to approach. She enjoys listening to others wether she is learning life experiences from them, casual chat, or listening to their problems. When she's with people she doesn't know she seems to be quite calm and wise.

As she opens up to people, she reveals her more ecentric personality. When good things happen she can be seen raising her fist in the air or doing a peace sign. She raises her voice during exciting conversations, much to some people's annoyance. As long as she understands the task given to her, she'll go about doing it with no hestitation, often looking to expand her knowledgeonce the work is done. However if she doesn't understand or isn't motivated she simply sits back and ignores it until it's due, resulting in crunch sessions.

At home she is often occupied with non-school related actiivties and is quite passionate about them. She studies various martial arts and follows up on Buddhist teachings. Although she's buddhist she's not overly religious, prefering
not to infringe on other people's belief's. She doesn't get stressed easily nor does she depress easily however when those times do come she takes them quite hard.

During any depression of hers, she becomes quite apathetic about life. Her mind conflicts with her helpful attitude in this mindframe also. She does seem to become more wiser and poetic during these times, citing books and other material during conversations but these are kept brief if possible.

Despite these conditions she generally doesn't loose site of her ambitious goal, to make the world happy. She is thrilled when she helps others and receives their thanks, it's addictive for her. She doesn't handle receiving too well as she feels she needs to repay the giver with two times what they've done for her.

During her childhood she became this way as a result of not receiving many things in life, growing up with her mother while her father studied over seas. Her mother barely held down her job while she studied in school herself. Both her parents would drill her on the importance of education, whilst her mother taught her many life lessons and showed her the results of greed and helping others, this caused her to become quite humble in her upbringing. However not receiving things in life also caused her to be less motivated about certain things, carrying a strong lazy trait that carries over into her studies, especially where math is concerned.

Special Power: Channelling energy through her hands she can manipulate phyiscal properties of objects. As she practiced it she would be able to modify objects to greater extents, possibly turning them into different objects entirely. For now though she can only manipulate length, width, height, and colour/opacity.

She wields a Katana not having a second power it's hilt was that of the sun and moon coming together, confined to a circular shape. The blade itself is 35 inches long, made with
fine quality steel.

History: Mina's life before High School was...unusual. It contained many normal elements but she was also exposed to things most normal children weren't. Both sides of her family had various conflicts that many of the children didn't realize but being with her mother she witnessed them. Despite all the drama that happened around her, she would loose herself in other things such as books and the adventures she would have with her cousins. She's actually quite close with all her cousins especially the ones on her father's side.

The close bond that she shared with her cousins would soon change as one of her cousins, a boy changed. Originally he admired and was possessive of Mina's attention. This soon turned into jealousy and competition as he felt he needed to do the same things she did, be on the same level as her etc.

Eventually the family grew apart with each moving to different parts of the city. Mina being rather tomboyish at times made friends with a group of guys during elementary school. Through the ups and downs of life the group was rather close until the event that changed Mina's life that summer before High School. Experiencing what could only be described as an alien encounter did more than just give her powers.

They enlightend her about the ways of the world and others who concealed abilities that humans only dreamed about and wrote in books. Always passionate about adventure, she wanted to meet as many of these people as she possibily could. After explaining to her how to control her powers, they refuse to teach her how to advance it, proclaiming that it'd be better for her to learn how on her own. They also told her of an unusual High School, MHS.

Not telling her parents, the obvious choice she instead explained to her friends. Of course they didn't believe her and laughed about it for the rest of the summer, often teasing her about it harshly. As such she decided to learn more about MHS during the summer including how to apply for the school. As such she found herself enrolled in the school ready to take on the adventure she dreamed about during those long summer nights.

EXAMPLE ROLE-PLAYING POST:

She faced her opponent in the center of the ring. Her black ninja gi covering her body well. Her mask covered most of her face except her eyes. The blue scarf around her neck trailled down to her back. The red sheathe on the left of her hip was firmly in place. Her right hand moving towards it ever so often,her opponent could clearly see her anticipation to use her blade. Even her mask did little to hide the excitment she felt. Placing her right foot forward, she bent her knees.

The battle then started with a bang, well the sound of gun fire. Unsheathing her Katana, she performed Battoujutsu. The diagonal slash came quickly, arching up to the right side of her opponents head. A blue aura flew through the sky as the diagonal slash occured trailing it. The aura had taken on the arch of the slash and was thin, the energy was strongest in the middle and weakened at the top and bottom. Truthfully she hoped her opponent would dodge this move so she could observe their movements.

Always on her toes she began to dash to her right attempting to gain distance from her opponent. The sound of her footsteps merging with the sound her gi made as it ruffled against the wind caused by her fast movement. Her eyes scanned the small tiled arena as best as they could while she kept on the move. As long as she kept on the move, it would be much harder to attack her with
ranged attacks.

Her Katana held tightly in her right hand, was held horizontally infront of her below her chest. Her left hand
seemed to trail behind her as she ran. 'Let's see how fun this fight will become' she mused to herself.
