Kealan-Patrick Burke was born in the small coastal town of Dungarvan in the south of Ireland. A qualified journalist, he didn't start submitting his genre efforts until moving to the States in September 2001.
Since then he has had work appear in over thirty print and web-based magazines; including: Horrorfind, Alternate Realities, Dark Moon Rising, Deviant Minds, Banshee Press, Wicked Hollow, Rogue Worlds, The Palace of Reason and Gothic.Net.
His work is due to appear in the upcoming anthologies: Hour of Pain, The Night Has Teeth, Fresh Blood, Midnight Rose; Fear and Scatter (graphic crime anthology).
In addition to his writing, Kealan also served as editor of the ephemeral Sinisteria E-zine. He edited the Hour of Pain anthology (forthcoming from DarkVesper Publishing) and is currently editing Malevolent Music, a collection of novellas linked by music (DarkVesper Publishing); Brimstone Turnpike, five novellas linked by a stretch of highway in Nevada (Cemetery Dance Publications) and Taverns of the Dead, a huge anthology of stories set in bars/taverns/inns and featuring stories by such luminaries as Stephen King, Ramsey Campbell, Ed Gorman, Ed Lee & Charles L. Grant (Cemetery Dance Publications).
He lives in Ohio with his wife and son and a disobedient mutt named Max.
