Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.

Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

Appearance:
Kenyi’s skin color is of a milky-brown color. He has black hair, which he always keeps cut low and even all around. Kenyi has very dark brown eyes, which are often mistaken to be black. Only when one moves close to Kenyi can they tell that his eyes are brown. His black-looking eyes do not look creepy or anything, because there is always a light glare of some kind in them, which give them more normal look. Kenyi has long jet-black hair, and is styled in very short dreadlocks.
Kenyi’s face is much defined; particularly his angular cheek bones. When Kenyi grits his teeth; his jaws ‘pop’ out in a very angular fashion. This almost gives the frame of his face the shape of a square. Being of African heritage, Kenyi’s lips are very full. Kenyi’s nose, however, is not very wide and has a rounded point. He has a pretty long neck, but it compliments his elegantly small body.
Kenyi’s shoulders are rounded, but his frame is broad. His broad chest narrows as it gets to the waist. From here Kenyi has long, graceful legs, which are admired by small bulges of muscle, particularly on his calf. Kenyi’s feet are very narrow, but are slightly long. Kenyi stands at 5 feet 9 inches in height, which is pretty average for a student of his age. He weighs 135 lbs, which makes him very small and slender. However, his undersized body cannot be mistaken to be weak. Kenyi is quite muscular, given his size, and his body is toned and in great physical condition. He has a full 6-pack of abs, and his calf muscles bulge out of his leg in almost a square shape.
Personality:
Kenyi is wild and crazy, but he’s a good guy. He has his times when he is serious and determined, particularly when it comes to fighting demons. Kenyi is a killer at making jokes, and can keep his friends laughing (at least that’s what he thinks) Kenyi loves physical activity; whether he’s just running, jumping, hiking or catching, he loves to use his body.
More than anything, Kenyi just likes to have fun. He never has any intentions to hurt or bother anyone, he just wants to have a good time. But, beware of getting on his bad side. He loves to work out; seeing it as a way to relieve stress.
Kenyi hates a bully, although sometimes people see him as a bully himself. This is just because Kenyi loves competition, and loves to prove his strength and worth to others. He’s a kind-hearted guy, and has a very high moral code. Don’t be caught picking on a little guy around Kenyi, because that kind of stuff really pisses him off.
Special Power: Spirit Energie - Growing up in Mali, Kenyi was taught to control a force which his village called 'spirit energy' through secret but rigorous training.
Mechanics: The spirit energy is produced from within the body from each individual cell. The energy from these cells flow together to produce one mass energy, which is done without the user's noticing or having to force it to do so. If not controlled in the correct way, spirit energy will llie dormant within the user's body. Thus, one must learn to control the opening of their 'lewelek', which is translated as 'life holes'. These holes are where the energie leaks from the body, and if they are controlled properly, the energie can be controlled as well. The user must train so that they can manually open and close the 'Lewelek', thus making the energie a usable source of power.
The Spirit: Although there is nothing to directly prove that this energie actually comes from the spirit, it is still strongly believed to be so. One of the reasons is because an aura that surrounds the body of the user when the Lewelek has been opened. This aura varies in color depending upon the user. The color is believed to be directly affected by the user's spirit, because certain patterns have been noticed from the colors. Black auras come from the demons, which is said to come from their evil spirits. Lighter colors usually come from the demon-slayers, which is said to be because of the good in their spirits. Also, the colors can indicate the strength of the user's spirit. White auras, being colorless, are very weak. While gold auras are the strongest. Kenyi's aura is currently a sky-blue color.
Another reason why this energie is said to draw from the spirit is because of the nature of the energie control. This energie responds directly to the strength and will of the user, which is said to be directly linked to the user's spirit.
Usage: Now to what this spirit energie actually does. This energie is created so that the user becomes capable of performing what most would consider supernatural or superhuman feats. In truth, all it really does for the user is increase strength; and if used correctly, very dramatically. It does not directly increase speed, but because strength in the legs is increased, the speed at which one can move is increased as well. So, the energie directly increases strength, while indirectly increasing speed.
Sometimes, the energie can be focused onto a single bodypart. For example, if Kenyi wanted to punch someone, he doesn't have to waste energie by powering his entire body, he can focus the energy into his fist or arm and deliver the punch, making it 5 and even ten times stronger. In fact, it can make a single body part even stronger if the user cuts the energie flow from the rest of their body and only allows the energie to flow into that specific bodypart.
One very special ability of the energie is being able to sense life force. The user can send a wave of spirit energie around them, and if a reverb or disturbance is felt from the energie, it means that a spirit is near; which indicates life.
One last ability of the spirit energie is being able to extend it to other objects, such as weapons. For example, if Kenyi knew how to fight with a sword (which he doesn't), he could use his energie to surround the sword, thus making its blows more effective. However, the energie can never be used to make the user's power limitless. The reason for this is because the spirit energie itself is exactly that, an energy; meaning that it can run out when the cells of your body are to worn and tired too make anymore.
Personalized: Kenyi's abilities with the spirit energie include the above. He can sense life force, and he can also increase his strength quite dramatically, thus indirectly increasing speed and/or agility. Having rigorously trained to use this spirit energie in combination with his capoeria fighting style, Kenyi is a force to be reckoned with.
History:
Kenyi was born in Africa; Mali, to be exact. His mother died at his birth, and he was born in a very small and remote village in the western lands of the country. However, this village was special; they were a hidden village of demon-slayers. The men of this village trained to harness special power from within their own souls and use this power to slay demons. They also rigorously trained their bodies in a variation of the Capoeria fighting style. This variation did not look as much like a dance as the regular Capoeria.
Kenyi began to learn this style and to harness soul power at the age of 7. Kenyi’s father, Kalomo, had been a resident of both Japan and America at times during his life. Kalomo spoke the Japanese and English languages to Kenyi very often, and through the years, Kenyi came to know the languages well himself. When Kenyi turned ten, Kalomo decided that he would move to Japan permanently. This was frowned upon the Mali demon-slayers, but Kalomo wanted Kenyi to experience the wonders of the country he loved so much. In Japan, Kenyi continued his fighting studies with his father.
When Kenyi was fifteen, Kalomo decided to move to America; keeping a residence in both Mali and Japan. However, a terrible threat came to their village in Mali, and Kenyi's father was called upon to assist the village. Not wanting Kenyi to become involved, Kalomo sent him to a special high school for kids with special powers.
Kenyi was very upset by this, for he wanted to return to his village and help fight whatever danger was threatening his home. But, since he's pretty much stuck at a new school, Kenyi has decided to make himself much stronger so that when his father returns, his power will never again be doubted.
EXAMPLE ROLE-PLAYING POST:
The wind was blowing strong, as was evident in Kenyi’s flowing black hair. The boy stood still, letting his mind and body calm. His brown cotton pants were torn and ragged, but that didn’t matter. In his village of Mali, it was not necessary to keep clothes constantly sewn and patched. Kenyi was unaffected by the chills of the wind, even without wearing a shirt. The full moon in the night sky hung high, as if to be watching to see what was to happen. Kenyi stood completely still, and let his arms hang motionless to his sides. His eyes shut; the boy concentrated on finding the source of his slight uneasiness. At thirteen years old, this was not an easy process, as his spirit power had not yet developed enough to complete track the life force of another. But, this is what he had come home for. Kenyi was visiting his village for this specific training.
After standing for more than ten minutes, the wind still toying with his hair, Kenyi felt a small reverb in his wave of energie. Knowing that the demon was growing closer, Kenyi assessed his surroundings.
A rooftop; made of weak concrete. Kenyi opened his eyes, and slowly looked to the left. About 10 feet away was the edge of the white building he was standing on. He looked to the right; about another 10 feet reached the other edge of the building. Of course, he had placed himself in the center. Kenyi looked at his feet, remembering that just below him was a room full of hay.
Suddenly, Kenyi lifted his head. His eyes widened as he thought. That stench…
Kenyi took a single deep breath as his heart seemed to skip a beat. Immediately stopping the wave signals of his spirit energie, Kenyi slowly turned. As he reached a full 90 degree rotation, Kenyi saw it; the demon. However, sight was unnecessary for it’s presence to be known. Kenyi had felt this demon, and knew that it had not even made an attempt to hide itself. No, Kenyi had felt its life force much too strongly. This demon obviously had the impression that such a young boy was weak, and would be easy prey.
The smell of the demon was horrible. Not being able to completely describe, Kenyi’s fellow villagers often noted the scent for being similar to that of a burning body; completely unforgettable.
The demon was white, slightly to Kenyi’s ease; for it was quite easy to see against the darks of the night. However, the color of the demon tortured Kenyi’s mind, as he was able to clearly see its horrible countenance. The demon had the form of a human. It stood tall with a bald head, and three red diagonal slashes on its face. The middle slash was the largest, and accented the demon’s horrible black eyes. The demon’s arms hung to its side such as Kenyi’s. However, its hands were probably the most noticeable part, as from the tips of its fingers grew foot long black claws.
Kenyi faced the monster without showing any fear. It being about 15 feet away, Kenyi had no reason to fear for the moment. At the time he would be able to see the demon, no matter what direction it went. Kenyi knew the demon’s intent; it wanted to eat him.
Kenyi was suddenly surprised when the demon made the first move. The horrible thing seemed to be starving, as its mouth hung open while it raced toward the boy. Kenyi focused as he stared intensely at the demon. Horrible black fangs came into view as the demon neared.
Open, Kenyi thought within his own head. His body began to glow with a pale blue aura as his lewelek opened. In about 5 seconds, the demon had reached the boy, and the fight was on.
The demon’s attack range was about twice Kenyi’s; given that it was taller and it had foot-long claws. The demon swiped at the boy, obviously desperate to kill him for food. Kenyi, however, refused to be hit even once. The boy dodged to the left, then to the right; duck! Kenyi thought mentally as the demon made an attempted blow to the head.
Within the few seconds that the demon lingered over Kenyi after missing the boy’s head; Kenyi powered up his energie.
A horrible cry rang out into the village as Kenyi jumped up with great force, delivering a powerful uppercut to the demon’s chin. As the demon flew into the air, Kenyi stood up completely, his hair still flowing in the wind. When the demon reached the peak of its ascent into the air from the momentum of Kenyi’s uppercut; the boy jumped into the air as well.
Spinning and kicking at the same time, with his spirit energie at its highest, Kenyi delivered five powerful kicks to the demon’s face. On the last kick, Kenyi let his own cry of pain out as one of the demon’s fangs cut into his foot. The demon skidded on the rooftop in front of Kenyi as the boy landed on the ground. His foot was bleeding, but he was prepared for yet another attack.

I thought of it, because I thought it would be cool and I liked it. In fact, I have a much more detailed explanation of it that is really cool, in which I did use wikipedia as a reference. I'm assuming that you think that I copied from someone, because your last post seems to suggest such, but I didn't. The power that you see in my character description was thought of by me.
Anyways, the reason he's most likely questioning it is that it's extremely similar to a power Alex Summers has. At least, that's what I'm thinking everyone is thinking. Quite hoenstly, I can see if you used wikipedia why it would eb the same. I too did my research on all spiritual cultures and combined them to make an overall power. So, if you used an external source I would see how it got absorbed into my grandios version of the spiritual world that most non-european cultures seem to have some grasp on.

Dude, I'm going to have to go back and look at the Alex Summers guy again. I didn't use Wikipedia for the above explanation, but I did go and look at that character. Someone PMed me and told me that my power was like Alex Summers'. But doesn't he summon spirits? That's like, completely different. I'm not summoning spirits or trying to control them or anything like that. This is all a natural power from within the user, that just happens to be called the 'spirit' power. Check out the detailed explanation while I go look up the Alex guy again. If need be, I suppose I can just change it to something else. But although both of the character's powers have the word 'spirit' in them, they have different concepts. This should be easier to see in this detailed explanation.

My question had nothing to do with your spiritual power. I did see the slight similarities between it and Alex Summers, but in that sense, I saw the similarities between it and about three other players characters. There will be a number of similarities between characters regardless of where someone receives their ideas for their characters powers. And I religously cross-reference the new characters with existing characters.
What I was asking you to explain was where you came up with the idea for Capoeria fighting style as one of your characters powers. So can you please do so. Thanks.

Where I came up with Capoeira? If only you could see how I'm laughing right now. Well, let's see. Number one, my favorite fighting game is tekken, and I like to fight with the characters called eddy and christina, because they use the capoeira fighting style.<-----That's where I first heard of the fighting style. And I just overall think the fighting style is perfect for my character. The reason is thought it would work well for Kenyi is because his spirit power would be more effective if he was really agile, quick, and flexible. Lol, there is no other fighting style that requires as much flexibility as Capoeira. Yea, capoeira just works.
