Kicking Trees (Vash)
Kicking trees was the name of the game tonight. Many Muy Thai warriors tend to kick trees to strenghten their legs. In all reality they tend to break them so they can grow back faster, and stronger. Tonight, that would be the plan. Except the whole breaking of the legs. Just to practice on something harder than a human leg.

The forest was empty or so it would seem that way. It was in the middle of the night. The moon was full, and the dark clouds were all spread out. A couple of stars could be seen here and there. There was a slight breeze, whisping through the trees. The leaves began to rattle when the wind made its presence in the canopy of the trees. Except a constant, twacking.

Every once and while when he could feel extreme pain in his right leg he would use a sheild to shield his leg and kick as hard he could. With enough force to crack the tree. X-oshi was holding back.

Sweat began to trikle down his brow and the side of his face. He would stop after every 10 kicks to wipe himself up. Using his black Underarmour shirt, it would dry up quickly anyways.
And the UnderArmour, short he had on was making his kicks more fluid. The fabric felt great against his skin.

The tree he was pummeling started to show major signs of wear and tear. However he wasn't going to stop until that tree came down.

Sure enough the other side of the tree, sawdust erupted from the cracks of the tree, and she came tumbling down. Making a large crash in the forest. Blackbirds began making their exits as fast as possible. The crash made X-oshi drop to his knees as the sound of timber splitting was deafing.

"Shit... so it does make a sound. I best move on to the next on, before somebody see me."

He began to walk away once the dirt and dust started to settle.

Re: Kicking Trees (Vash)
Silence. Tranquility. Wholeness. Vash could feel a certain flow begin to take shape as the silence of the forest enveloped his senses. He had taken the night off of patrol to hone his skills in unarmed combat. The style of the Twisted Claw was now a dead art, the only remaining teachings etched into the dunpeal's memory. If he was ever to pass them on, he would have to practice. So, on this night, that's exactly what he did.

The forms were graceful yet powerful, accentuating the speed and power of the style and the grace and finess natural to a dunpeal. A hand knife to the chest, followed by an upward slash with his claws. The dunpeal looked focused in his work as he made the final leap into the air, spinning in a corkscrew motion as he made the final downward slash of the form. He landed on both feet, crouched with his attacking hand dug deeply into the ground. His shoulders rised and fell with each heavy breath as he tried to catch up with the moment.

Just then, the sound of a falling tree caught his attention. It crashed in the forest like thunder as birds fluttered into the sky to escape. The flock caught the eye of the hunter and he quickly raced off in that direction. It was only a mere few seconds at his blinding speed that he found what he was searching for. X-Oshi, an old aquaintence back when he first came to the school, was training like himself. The simple resistence that the trees brought was a common tool to use when strengthening the body. Vash smirked and lept into one of the trees above, using his dark clothing to conceal his presence in the shadowy boughs of the forest.

"A beautiful night for training, would you not say?" he said in his usual, thick Romanian accent.

X-oshi looked around for the voice a second or two until he finally looked up. He could only see a pair of dark eyes. X-oshi wasn't sure who this fello was. But, whoever it was. They must have been sneaky enough to get there Becuase he thought he was alone.

The wind blew through his legs as he looked up. He started to think who this person could be. Though no bell had been rung in his mind, he decided it was a new student. Plainly there were alot of new people at the school. He had only known one person to act as spooky as this guy did. But he hadn't seen him in a long time.

"Whats popping man. Yeah you right. It's a beautiful night. Whatcha doing out here." He responded.

Most people usually be in bed. At this time of night. Most hunter, like Merciah come out at this time. X-oshi on the other hand being the martial artist he was wanted to train himself. A fog started to roll in. Which began to cool the sweat X-oshi had accumalated.

The man in the tree was kinda creepy. He reminded him of a vampire. Even though they were only fake and stuff. But this guys was the sheer image of how a vampire should be.

"Hey man, wanna come down from the tree? he shouted,
Your kinda creeping me out up there."

Vash smirked to himself. The boy was visibly shaken, starting to look a little jittery in his motions and his tone. In some twisted way it pleased the dunpeal. His darker side revelled in the pleasure of causing fear. However, he was beyond that now and decided it best to confront the student in training.

With a small hop he seemingly floated down to the ground and landed without a sound. His coat fluttered in the wind as it picked up when he revealed himself. Even the weather knew the scene called for a brooding backdrop when Vash came about. the smirk that remained on his face showed a gleaming fang on the right side of his face. It was the only thing visible under the shadows of the wide brimmed hat he wore.

Vash then began to slowly walk up to the boy, taking each step with purpose. Again, his nature had taken over. Though he didn't mean to look intimidating to those he knew were allies, it couldn't be helped. It was an advantage at times, though. He clearly established his presence as a tougher, more experienced student of Manga High. If he thought he was dealing with a new student, he was dead wrong.

"Sorry," he began, "for my shifty enterance. Old habits die hard, you know."

(The mind of X-oshi)

"So im walking around in the woods for alittle bit and then I see this guy in a tree. He's creepy and stuff just because he comes out of nowhere, and then he jumps down. NO floats down. How inthe hell does somebody do that. Then he's got a larger right incisor. Like a vampire. Its bad enough that he looks like one and songs like he's from Romania. But all the while, I think I know this guy. But from where."

(End)

X-oshi snaps out of it and looks more determined now. He tenses his muscles. He can feel the adrenaline begining to flow. This was no small kid and in no way did he look like a pushover. With the combination of hidden skill. X-oshi knew he had something. And presence. The person in front of him was not to be taken lightly.

He takes a step forward to signify that he had gotten close enough. Not to be rude or anything, but just to be cautious.

"It's cool man, I gotcha. So whats ya name. For some reason, I think I know you, but I can't remember?"

"I am Vash Hellsinger, though it seems you do not remember" he answered, extending his gloved hand to be shaken.

Though he did remember the person, a name escaped Vash as well. The quizzical look hidden beneath his hat would have been a tell tale sign if visible. His brain was racing, trying to remember the name of the student infront of him. It was strange, though he could remember the reason why he may not have had a clear cut name.

The one and only time they had met had been in the auditorium. Yakoutio and the boy had been fighting for quite some time and Vash had stumbled upon the quarrel. In his inexperience, he joined the fray and lost control to his darker tendancies, ravaging both parties before being felled by a few late comers. The battle was almsot a blur to him at this point, so a specific like that would definately go unmemorized.

"And you would be, again?" he asked as he awaited his handshake.

Memories began to jog. In his mind he began to review over the course of two years past of what had happened since he been here at school.

Quote:
"And you would be, again?"

X-oshi Hoganteki, he shot back. As he began to shake his hand. A powerful handshake indeed. Not enough to raise alarm but not one to show him less than human. It was a strong, proud, and firm handshake.

And as soon as he was about to retract his hand. He began to remember.

Images began to race across his mind. Words, sounds, growling, snarling, blood was spilt. People were hurt that day.

There was Yakoutio...auditorium...The Darkness... was present...? There was fighting and then from then on out, there was just brief flashes.

Quote:
"I will do whatever I feel... and I feel like eating you...!!!"

A very bad taste came into X-oshi's mouth. It was thick, salty and slighlty tasted like copper.

A brief flash of someones neck was getting bit into and a hunk of meat tossed to the floor.

Another image passed quickly, It was of someones body part. He was coming into contact with it many times.

Quote:
“Why don’t any of my attacks affect you!”

That statement came from Yakoutio. Then the image quickly dissapated. More images came and there were of Vash, he was moving faster than both Yakoutio and himself combined. But he knew it was him. Amber was there. Then she fleeted his memory also.

X-oshi shook his head. He tried to make sense of the order of the images. But it was no use. IT was like they were just jumbled up in there. Locked away to be forgotten.

Then the image came of Vash. He was biting people. LIke he really was a vampire. And he remembered Vash charging at him. After it was black and silenc. Until he woke it at the healing place.

Then thats when X-oshi's neck became a little sore.

Quote:
"Can't believe that guy @#%$ bit me.... gotta re..st..noww...."

That was the last thing he remembered saying.

He didn't just retract his hand. He snatched it back. Out of fear, maybe. Out or anger and confusion. Ya damn right.

"I remember you now. Yeah, I definalty remember you. YOur the reason why my neck hurts sometimes."

He took a step back from him. He looked him up and down.

"What are you?"

Re: Kicking Trees (Vash)
"A student," he replied, smirking a little, "like you. I would have believed that to be obvious."

He had certainly made a point of dodging the question of what X-Oshi had ment by that. The dunpeal knew that most didn't understand what it ment to be something so blasphemous. The constant need to destroy the living to sustain your own existance was enough of a nightmare, let alone having people ostrisize him more so than he already was. It was a tough life, but he had learned to deal with it in his own ways.

So, Vash decided it best to dodge the topic of what he was exactly. Instead, the boy moved around X-Oshi in a methodical sense, eyeing him up and down with a look of curiosity. He knew the student in question had his own dark secrets. Something to the extent of his own vampiric shadow that loomed over him, begging him to commit some satanic act.

"Though I would not speak so rightously on the subject." he mentioned as an after thought, hinting to the darker side that X-Oshi displayed that day.

He chuckled to himself, as frustration was starting to override the small amount of fear growing. He kept his eyes on him as he was being circled. He was being look at up and down. Was he getting sized up or was he looking for a new place to bite him. All X-oshi knew that something wouldn't be right if the last thing he saw was some crazy like him, and then waking up at Hanabishi's with a neck wound.

"A student like me, man don't try and play me like that. Shit don't try to bullshit a bullshitter. He said with a slight smirk. I could sell ice to an eskimo. You might be a student, but that ain't all is it.?"

He knew that this kid is twisted. He began to rub his neck. He just didn't know how.

"You don't know me man. He shook his head. Whatever happened ain't of no concern to you. So, like I said, what are you. And don't give me that student crap." He said with determination is his eyes.

Re: Kicking Trees (Vash)
Vash waited for the boy to finish. He certainly was more paranoid than he remembered. Or was it simply that Vash was scraier than before? In any case, X-Oshi was visibly starting to become rattled. In some sense, he enjoyed it. It was disgusting, yet he couldn't help but laugh at X-Oshi's unjustified excitment and worry over the situation.

"When is anyone here 'just a student'?" he asked with a slight smile. "Everyone here is talented in some abnormal way, including yourself. So why say I'm different? Hmm? I suppose it is the way I dress? They lifestyle I have chosen? Because I am not American? What is it?"

He truly wanted an answer, though what he expected was probably obvious and so his tone had hinted every question was simply rehtorical. It was probably obvious that their past had made him "different" in some way to X-Oshi. Being a dunpeal, even in a school full of mutants, still led to questions and racism. It was strange, but widely accepted by most students attending. He wondered for a moment if Amber or Karrody might have gottne the same prejudices, good or bad. Karrody was certainly a candidate, but amber was a bit of a questionable one for such a topic. He then let his mind slip back to the topic at hand.

"And if you past is no business of mine," he added, "why is mine business of yours?"

Every once in a while, when the moon is full and the stars are aligned, X-oshi was speehless.

He had to regain his compsure, he straightend his back out and his eyebrows arched again. He turned right to him. With new purpose in his mind.

"It ain't cause you ain't American, its cause you did something to me a long time ago. And whatever you did... I wanna know whats up." He pointed a finger towards him as a way to show he meant business. That would be the last time he would ask... nicely.

"I suppose you deserve that much..." he said, walking towards X-Oshi and pushing his outstretched arm down. "It is also not polite to point."

Vash then began pacing around the boy, looking past everything infront of him as he began to think how to word his situation. Most would agree that he was a monster of sorts, which is why he had to be delicate with such a topic. He also knew Karrody didn't have the greatest reputation about him either. Most likely the antithesis of their culture, Vash despised hurting others, while Karrody seemed to revel in it. That's not to say Vash didn't enjoy it, he simply felt guilty afterwards.

'Hmm...Well, I suppose you could compare me to Karrody, if you know him. We are both half-breeds of a race long thought to be inexistant. A race of dark and demonic creatures who hunt those such as yourself during the night. In short, we are dunpeals, or half-vampire, if you prefer."

He beagn to quell the fire that was beginning to burn inside of him. He was tired of getting looked at in the manner he was being looked at and then he got touched. He passed it of as "Hey maybe the guy ain't so bad, or he hadn't tried to hit me or nothing..."

...Karrody... he thought. He had never heard of him.

He thought he looked like one but who knew. Well other people but not him. And wasn't going to pass THAT TYPE of judgment on him and not even know him.

"Hummphh, vampires and shit huh... Like Dracula."

He began to rub his neck.

"So you and this guy... Karrody like going around biting the shit outta people huh and drinking they blood. Well, I think thats some sick shit. But I get you man. Ya gotta do it, you can't help it. So you wanna them evil ones ain't ya."

He said that only to see what type of response he would get.

"As long as you don't come after me again, man you straight."

He looked him up and down. He began to circle him and sizing him up. He knew vampires got increased strenght and speed. But he wanted to test this kid against himself now. See what vampires are really made of.

"I ain't never fought no vampire, and I should pay you back for what you did..."

He crossed his arms and looked at him.

Re: Kicking Trees (Vash)
Vash could only respond to X-Oshi's ignorant reponce with a growl. How dare he accuse him of such deeds. He had learned to control his faults, kept the darkness deep inside. He fed off donated blood rather than people. Only under the most dire of circumstances did his hunger release the dark side. He was the majority of people he faced, however, blind to the real story of the vampire race.

Dracula was a representation of his culture, though it was less romantic and much bloodier than what was given. Yes, it had some truth, though the clean cut feeding off a young woman as she entered that euphoric state of bliss before slowly dieing was a misconception to feedings. Most were bloody, tearing the neck apart so the juggular of the victim bled profusely and the poisons emitted from his fangs were only sedetives to halt the victim's struggling.

"I would say I should repay you for the insults to my honour you have just spouted ignorantly" he answered, drawing his sword as he continued to slowly circle.

He could tell he struck a nerve and now to dig it in. He had pissed him off. And now the ball was in his own court. He could tell in his demeanor that he wa getting a little irate. It didn't make X-oshi feel better as a man, but it did make him feel better that he could controled the state of emotion that was now building in the forest.

True he didn't know a lot about vampires and there ways. What he saw off TV was about the extent of his knowledge. And what he knew about what happened that one frightfull day.

The vampire drew his sword. The sound of the blade made X-oshi more aware of the unfolding situation. He quickly ran through in his mind to find a fighting style he hadn't used. Finding one he liked, he went into an offensive stance. While making the energy that swirled constantly flowed around his body, slowly collect and dissapate.

He would definatly pay him back for his neck, then maybe afterwards he would get something to eat with him. Granted if he didn't try and eat him. If he was a good guy, if he wasn't then he would give him hell.

He gave the guy a smirk, with a raised eyebrow.

"So we gonna see whats up, whatcha got...?"

Re: Kicking Trees (Vash)
the wind blew across the two as Vash stopped dead in his tracks. It was a cold night, but the hunter didn't even wince at the chill the breeze brought. X-Oshi had taken a very agressive looking fighting stance, which made Vash wonder what he was trying to prove. It was littered with openings that could easily be exploited with any number of attack stances. Maybe he planned to try and barrel the dunpeal over? If that was the case, Vash was certainly prepared.

The more impotant factor in this situation, however, was the fact that Vash was still very open to attack. Though he ahd the advantage of a weapon, he had yet to take any particular stance. With X-Oshi already set up for an attack, the dunpeal needed some way to protect himself. In light of this, Vash quickly put the flat of the blade across his back and readied for an attack. Though the stance lacked defense, he wouldn't be standing around for long.

Almost immediately after taking his stance, Vash lept into the air. It was a high arc, displaying the magnificent agility of the half-vampire race. He soared through the sky, the sheen of the blade screamed as it cut through the air. The attack couldn't have lasted more than a few seconds, but it seemed like Vash floated up in the air as he climbed to the pinicle of the jump. Then gravity inevitably had it's effect and made the hunter drop like a rock towards X-Oshi. The strike wasn't anything special, but he was sure the surprise of attacking from above would catch the martial artist off guard. From what he had seen from fighting, very few commonly established martial arts weren't prepared for an attacker that could jump into the air and come down from above.

Re: Kicking Trees (Vash)
Thinking of an options of moves a couple of steps ahead, He began to contemplate the severity of taking the hit and how to best counterattack. As it was stated before, he was on a purely offensive position and his shields would take whatever damage from any attacks coming towards him. As easy as moving his arms and breathing air.

When Vash would land, X-oshi would shift his body to the right and grab hold of Vash's right arm, hopefully the same arm the sword would be in, effectivily disabling the sword and his right arm, then he would outstrech the vampires arm. X-oshi would swing and bring his own arm up under Vash's with enough speed and strenght to break it at the elbow.

If he would accomplish the task he would cripple Vash in mere seconds. However something came across his mind, something that would make this fight a whole lot harder than exchanging blows with the attempts to gain the upper hand.

He thought to himself.

"Don't vampires heal?"
