Late Breakfast (Maria, open)
It was midday, about noon, and the cafeteria was fairly full of students. After all, it was lunch time for most. But Knives wasn't most. Noon was his general waking time, and early afternoon hours like this were actually his morning time. And, having only been up for a half hour or so, it was breakfast time for him.

After having wandered through the lines to get his food, Knives found a nearby empty table to sit at. After placing his tray, covered with a couple of plates of food, on the table, he sat down in the seat before it. His blue eyes gazed down through droopy, sleepy eyelids at the food for a few minutes, as he smiled, revealing the canines that were larger than normal. Then, he picked up his fork and began to eat a chunk of meat.

Unlike usual, his German Sheppard dog ears weren't focused on his surroundings; he wouldn't notice as quickly if someone showed up nearby. It was just too damn soon after he'd woken up for him to be observant. But, he continued to eat slowly, sleepily, at the table alone. Being the social person he was, he'd prefer to have company for "breakfast"....but it really didn't matter so much when he'd just gotten up, he was very content at the moment.

Re: Late Breakfast (Maria, open)
Maria had been starving since she had arrived. She hadn't had much to eat on the plan and with that her new "freind" following her around during the day, she hadn't found any time to eat.

After she had finally got everything straightened otu and ready for the day, Maria had headed down to the cafeteria. As Maria walked through the doors, anyone looking would see the classic bombshell entrance. She may have been short, but she sure pulled off being hot.

Noticing the ammount of boys that were in the lunch room Maria decided it would be best to eat light now, and chow down later. As she walked slowly down the line of food, she grabbed a salad, an apple, and a bottle of water.

After paying for her meal and escaping the eyes that were glued ot her, Maria decided to find the dorkiest lookin guy she could find to eat with. As her purple hues searched the room the fell upon a lone.... dog boy? Maria had to admit, she though it was hot and he looked sleepy enough where he wouldn't ogle her. Maria quietly made her way over to this new stranger and stood next to him with her tray pushing against her breasts, she would definately get a seat at this table.

"Do you mind if I goin you?" She said sweetly.

"Do you mind if I join you?"
The dog ears atop the boy's head twitched, and he lifted his eyes from his food. They moved up, in the direction that the voice had come from, to find an extremely attractive girl standing over him. A little over a month ago, the dog boy would have liked what was happening. But now, it was just as entertaining as if another stranger had shown up (though it was mor fun with a girl, with or without the flirting). This was not to say that it wasn't exciting; just that Knives wasn't looking for a relationship, or even for flirting. So, he didn't even realize the slight things she was doing to catch his attention yet...

"Yeah, of course." He gave her a big smile, his trademark, friendly grin. "I'd love company."

He set down his fork beside his plate, leaving about half of his food untouched for a moment. His elbow came to rest on the table, so that he could support his head lazily in his hand, holding his cheek in his palm. This gave him a very sleepy look, combined with his goofy grin. "I'm Knives." He smiled up to her. "How bout you?"

"Yeah, of course. I'd love company."

Maria pouted slighty as she released the tray from her breasts and set it down on the table. Were all the guys here able to resist her charm? Taking a seat, she crossed her legs and looked over to the guy as he spoke to her. He looked drugged up, maybe he was tired. Either scenario, Maria wanted to get close to him. Perhaps she had to break him down a little before she could seduce him.

"I'm Knives." Maria returned the smile. "How bout you?"

"Nice to meet you, I'm Maria." She said with a flip of her hair and then extended her delicate, manicured hand over to Knives. She then said this in a sweet and innocent tone of voice. "It's a pleasure to meet you!"

Re: Late Breakfast (Maria, open)
His deep blue eyes followed her figure as she sat down, that goofy grin never leaving his face. He felt something in his throat, and then a deep yawn came up, which he was unable to supress. He moved his head just slightly, so that the hand supporting him could cover up his mouth, as it opened wide to let the yawn out. Then, he lifted his head from his hand, and leaned back in his chair, placing both hands on the back of his head as if that would support it. "Sorry...I just woke up..." He smiled again.

Then, he watched as she reached out towards him. He eyes followed her hand, his smile fading into a curious look as his ears twitched. But the grin only disappeared for a moment, before it returned again full-force, and he reached out with his own hand to take hers. His fingers grasped hers, squeezing them gently in more of a polite handshake one would give a lady than the firm one he'd give a guy. His eyes returned to gaze at her face again. "Maria, huh? That's a nice name..." He chuckled a bit.

After a moment, he retracted his hand, and set both of them on the table before him. His head tilted to the side, as he looked at her curiously once again. "So, you new here?" He paused a moment, and then shrugged. "I mean...I haven't seen ya around before..." He noticed the flip of the hair...he was rather used to girls flirting with him, but he wasn't going to respond.

"It's a pleasure to meet you!" He smiled and nodded, his longish, curly brown hair bouncing a little as he did so. "You too! I always like making new friends!"

Re: Late Breakfast (Maria, open)
Maria watched him as she ate her meal. He was cute to her, the type that she didn't want to use. He seemed like the only good guy she had met. She couldn't judge him much just meeting him, but she had a feeling he was a good guy.

"Sorry...I just woke up..."

Maria accidentally giggled at this, she didn't mean for it to come out but it did. He was just too adorable. She faked coughed and fixed her posture a little, trying to get back into the mind she called Suki. ''That should never happen again!''

"It's fine, I see you are a late sleeper." She laughed a little and pointed her finger in a mock parental way. "You know sleeping late is not good for school!"

Maria noticed she was being herself again, why? There was something awkard about the entire situation. Maybe he reminded her of herself. She wasn't sure but she had to become Suki again, otherwise others would catch onto her false personality.

"Maria, huh? That's a nice name..."

Maria smiled, not many people considered it a nice name. Her brothers had called it plain and boring, so did many others. Maybe she was right about him, he didnn't seem to be like the perverts and playboys she had met all her life.

"Thank you, you seem to be one of the only people who think that."

Maria smiled, but it was false. Why was he being kind to her, most guys who were kind to her wanted one thing. But he didn't even look at her body that way. Why?

"So, you new here? I mean...I haven't seen ya around before..."

Maria nodded first before explaining, a habit that sometimes came out. "You haven't seen me around because it is my first day here. Before this I had just come from my room. I'm guessing you aren't new, am I correct?"

Re: Late Breakfast (Maria, open)
She giggled at his comment. In response, Knives blinked, and tilted his head to the side. He looked slightly confused at her reaction; after all, he hadn't meant that to be funny. But it didn't matter; she laughed, and he liked it when he made people laugh. In fact, he was used to things like this...half the time, he was funny when he didn't intend to be, which worked well for his humorous personality. So, he retained his goofy grin.

"You know sleeping late is not good for school!" He laughed a little at her, and then gave a shrug. "Oh well...it's not like school's a big deal. I can pass high school without trying..." He smiled across the table to her. It was true; he wasn't one of those nerdy kids, and never acted like he was smarter than anyone....but he was easily intelligent enough to breeze through school without putting any effort into it.

He hadn't yet noticed a change in her personality. Well, he didn't know her well enough yet to know what her personality was like anyways. His cheek came to rest in his hand, as he looked across the table at her, still giving her that same friendly smile. He didn't want anything from her....even if it wasn't for Dango, he wasn't into one-night stands or random, casual hook-ups. Instead, he would much rather be nice to this girl, simply because she was a nice, pretty girl.

"You haven't seen me around because it is my first day here. Before this I had just come from my room. I'm guessing you aren't new, am I correct?" He nodded. "Yup! That's right. I've been here for a couple of months now. So it's your first day, huh? How do you like it? Is it much different from your old school?" He tilted his head to the side curiously, "Have ya done anything fun around here yet?"

"Oh well...it's not like school's a big deal. I can pass high school without trying..."

"I understand how that is, I have done that before"

Maria spoke the truth there, when she used her own mind she was very artistic and smart. But at the moment she was trapped between the two, half seductress half shy girl. Perhaps it was alright to be her self around this guy, he didn't seem like the others. She would wait a while longer to decide, she wouldn't want to get attached to him if he was just out there for sex.

"Yup! That's right. I've been here for a couple of months now. So it's your first day, huh? How do you like it? Is it much different from your old school? Have ya done anything fun around here yet?"

So many questions burst out from the boy that it cause Mari'a head to spin. She gathered her thoughts and thought about the question's quickly, she didn't want to leave any silence between the two of them.

"Yeah, It's my first day. So far it is really nice, a lot of perverts though. It is very different from my old school, my old one was a public school. I havent done anything really fun yet, I'm hopin to do really something fun though. What about you?"

Re: Late Breakfast (Maria, open)
She began speaking, answering each of his questions in turn. Funny enough, she answered them about as quickly as he had asked. Knives simply sat there, chin still in his palm, as he gazed across the table to her and listened. Each answer registered in his mind, and he sat there and thought for a short moment after she finished. Then, he responded.

"Perverts, huh? You should avoid those." He tilted his head to the side. "They're not good for girls like you." He gave her a big smile; it was true that he had his own perverted moments, but even then it was with the girl he cared about, and he'd kept himself from doing anything truly wrong....He shrugged, and continued talking. "And a public school, huh? I went to one before here, too. People don't really appreciate meta-humans in those places." He gave another shrug. It's not like he wasn't liked...he just preferred being in a place where he was more accepted for his canine features.

"Really fun, huh? Well, I've been to the club, and I've been to the lake...I like those places. What kind of fun are you lookin for? Cause I'm sure I could find somethin for ya!" He gave her a big, happy grin at this, lifting his head from his hand. He'd decided that, for today, he might as well take this girl somewhere fun. After all, she was a new student, and she needed a friend...and he had nothing else to do.

"Perverts, huh? You should avoid those. They're not good for girls like you."

Maria firsted shrugged in response to his declaration. As long as she could get something from the pervert, she was fine with it. If a pervert gave her any trouble, she knew how to defend herself. Also, how did he know what was and wasn't good for her. She didn't want to be rude though, so she responded politely.

"I Know that, perverts aren't good for any girl. But on that note, exactly what kind of girl am I?"

She smirked lightly at Knives, she showed that she was toying with him. She wanted to see how he responded to questions such as though, it would definately tell her more about him.

"And a public school, huh? I went to one before here, too. People don't really appreciate meta-humans in those places."

"People don't appreciate what that don't understand Knives, believe I know about that one!"

She was of course referring to her "brothers and sisters." They didn't understand what it was like to be in her place, she was the only half child in her family, her family didn't appreciate that at all.

"Really fun, huh? Well, I've been to the club, and I've been to the lake...I like those places. What kind of fun are you lookin for? Cause I'm sure I could find somethin for ya!"

Maria was glad for the change of subject, it allowed her to escape the thought of things she went through as a child. A club sounded fun, but she would rather go swimming. Maria loved beaches and lakefronts, she actually just loved anywhere she could swim and as Suki, flaunt off her body.

"A lake you said? That seems like real fun, how far is it?"

"I Know that, perverts aren't good for any girl. But on that note, exactly what kind of girl am I?" Knives gave her a shrug. Then, he leaned forward in his seat, raising a finger to his chin as he put a thoughtful look on his face. He was just trying to be funny, but he truthfully had to think a moment before he answered. After all, he had only just met this girl a short time ago. After a couple of moments, he sat back in his chair again, and gave yet another shrug, returning the smile to his face. "Well, I barely know you, but....if I have to answer, I'd say you seem like a nice girl to me." His smile grew. "At least, I'd hope you are.....ya know, it's better for ya that way."

It didn't matter that she was toying with him. He was always joking around, and was rarely serious. Though his answer had a serious point to it, the way he said the last part let her know he was being goofy. Like always.

"A lake you said? That seems like real fun, how far is it?"

He blinked at her sudden outburst, and then smiled and laughed a little. His mind thought back to the couple of times that he had been at the lake; they were all entertaining incidents. His head tilted to the side, and then he turned his head to look around him. They were too far from the window; but he probably would have been able to see the lake through one if they were nearer to a wall, or if there weren't so many people. He turned back to look at her, and gave a shrug. "Well, yeah, there's a lake nearby. It's actually on campus, so it's not too far. It's my favorite place to go!" He gave a big, happy grin. "You wanna go to the lake?"

"Good guess, You're right!"

Maria was taking a risk being her true self, btu she just had a feeling she could trust him. What would happen if he wasn't a good guy, Maria would treat him not like a friend, but a play thing. He was a funny guy, and even if she couldn't be with him in a relationship, at least she could have one good friend. That thought made her smile.

"Well, yeah, there's a lake nearby. It's actually on campus, so it's not too far. It's my favorite place to go! You wanna go to the lake?"

Maria jumped out of hear seat, eager to go swimming. She would of course have to stop by her room (though she could go swimming in her underwear), but she was sure it was a stop Knives wouldn't mind making.

"Hell yeah I want to go to the lake!" She grabbed Knives hand and began running to the exit, pulling him along as she ran. "I have to get my swimsuit first, unless....you want me to swim in my bra and panties" The last part was said in a playful tone, of course Knives might not have caught it so she confirmed it was.

"That was a joke in case you didn't catch that!"

Re: Late Breakfast (Maria, open)
Knives blinked as she jumped up and grabbed his hand. He wasn't expecting such an excited response, especially for something as simple as a swim at the lake. When she tugged, he stood up, and began following after her, laughing a bit as she pulled him towards the door. He would enjoy the lake, too; he always did. And besides, this side of her was pretty fun, too.

"I have to get my swimsuit first, unless....you want me to swim in my bra and panties" Knives laughed. It was quite obviously a joke; and even if it wasn't, he wasn't bothered by it. In fact, underwear wasn't a bit deal, especially when swimming: girls' underwear was the same as a bikini, sometimes even less revealing. So, in response, Knives said, "Do what you will, it's not like there's any difference." He smirked at her when she turned around to look at him. He was joking too, but it was obvious he didn't care what she did.

So, he followed behind her, as they moved through the crowd, out the doors, and into the hallway beyond. As they moved down the hallway (too quickly for Knives, so early in the morning, but he said nothing about it...), Knives simply followed. Whatever she chose to do, she would do it...and he would follow, whether it was back to her dorm room, or straight down to the lake.

"Do what you will, it's not like there's any difference."

"All right, straight to the lake it is!"

Maria continued to pull Knives, leading him out of the building, then into another one, then back the way the came from the second building, into another building, then back out side again, then Maria stopped, she was blushing.

"Ummm, Can you lead? I have no idea where the lake is!"

It was true, she had left her map in her room and had led them on a path where she had had no clue where the lake was. She felt rather dumb for it but she just laughed at her stupidity.

Re: Late Breakfast (Maria, open)
"All right, straight to the lake it is!" Knives laughed a bit at her. It really didn't make much of a difference to him; but she was rather funny. He continued to follow her, being pulled along behind by his hand, not really paying attention to where they went. It was obvious she wouldn't know where they were going: she hadn't even known there was a lake.

When they stopped outside, Knives blinked and tilted his head. He was a bit confused as to why they were stopping, after all of that commotion. When she said she didn't know where it was, it suddenly clicked in the dog boy's head. He began to laugh, and shook his head. "Oh, yeah, don't worry about it. I'll lead." He looked around a moment, to get his bearings, since he hadn't paid attention to where he'd been led thus far. After a moment, he nodded to himself, and turned towards the nearby forest.

"Alright, this way!" He began to walk in the direction he'd turned to face. Unlike Maria, he was in no hurry, and was rather laid back about it. His pace was fairly slow and casual - his usual walking speed. Running just wasn't really his thing, unless it was for a purpose - a sport, a battle, etc... As they walked, Knives dug his free hand into the pocket of his khaki shorts. He didn't seem to realize he was still holding Maria's hand; his fingers became limp and loose, but he didn't retract it from her grip.

They headed down the path, towards the lake.

((We'll continue at the lake. You can post here if you want, or you can wait for me to start the new thread))
