Latest aquisitions

Modelling the latest 'off world range' from Aliens at C&A! lol.

Chris and I in our new official SG-1 jackets from Gateroom in the US. Much cooler than the G8's being unquilted. Roll on the next mission.

Re: Latest aquisitions
Yep, what can I say......I'm well over the moon with my new screen accurate SG jacket. As Foxy says, these are not quilted inside like the original G8 jackets and so are alot cooler to wear..........in case some of you are wondering, I left my patches off just so you could see the velcro patches alongside Foxy's, with the patches on.

Jackets
Got mine as well this week (did yours get stuck in the same batch as mine??) and I have to say that they have been worth the wait, build quality is excellent and it feels great, now toying with getting a desert one as well. Couple of hi-res pictures in the links below: -

New Jacket

New jacket next to a pair of my OD BDU trousers

As you can see from the above picture, the colour's don't match but these trousers were bought some time ago.

Guys, how do your jackets compare to your trousers?

Re: Jackets
Hi james,

yeh, ours got stuck in that batch as well......but like you said, well worth the wait!!!! The quality is great!

We opted to go for the Forest Green jacket (accurate for season 7) and they are darker then our standard BDUs, so will be investing in new ones shortly.

Re: Jackets
Just browsing this forum and....ufffffffffff

Ok... that jacket is wayyyyyyyy off. The pockets are far to low down, its shocking. The color is wrong.. should be od green.. not forrest/sage. There is no X in the name tag. The material is wrong, should be ripstop. The lining should be small squares ( as on tv). this is screen accurate? lol noooo hehe.

jacket from season 7, hehehe, please.. they have spilled that story to me also.. it is because the jacket is so dam dark, they say its a season 7 jacket lol

dont tell me.. sage is season 1-7 ? lol

i am a member from www.sg-command.net, and i bought mine from Dan Kim Gunner and Servo from the gateroom who is also making the same jackets dan makes from flightsuits.com. Now... the gateroom are not making any more jackets. do you know why? because they have had sooo many jackets returned, as people were laughed at, at gatecon. It is a joke.. i bought mine last year.. and i was almost crying when i waited 2 months for it.. i sent it back and got a refund from flightsuits.

Those jackets are 100% wrong in every way. I bought another from flightsuits, tracked down a fabric ripstop, and made it myself.. easy. but to say those are screen accurate, or even stargate related, is wrong.. realy wrong.

and to think they make a fortune off them when the material cost them no more than $20.00 mmmm, stick to the alpha g8wep , its loads better then them. ufff:x

dam man.. i feel sorry for you guys... good luck with your refund.. all the best.

Blimey, pass that man some Stain Devil. That's an awful lot of bile he's just spilled out there...

Chill out fella, I'm sorry you weren't pleased with your jacket. Luckily I am. So each to his own.

I'm sorry if you didn't like your's User!? I've only heard good things about them, I'm still to see one in person but I know how picky the people who I know have them are and there happy, but anyway your entitled to your opion of the jacket.

I will make a final decision when I see one in person. But going from info from people I know who's opions I respect I'm sure I'd be happy with one.

All coments on any Stargate products are welcome but MUST be put forward in a Civil mannor.

Thanks, guys!
Hi guys...LT from Stargate6.com saying hello from over the pond again!...
Let me clear up a couple of things first, (as reported to me by a friend from this board...)

As for the future availability of the Jackets, my good friend Matt over at TheGateroom.com may be changing a few things here and there, and will be "off the air" for remodeling, but the Standard Jackets will still be for sale for a while yet at Stargate6.com as well as the "Uber Jacket". The Uber Jacket is an OD Ripstop version with the correct cut and construction. It is not offered with a padded liner, but contrary to the abouve complainer, the padded liner is NOT the only canon version of the real Jacket. Many episodes can be seen where jackets with a plain black satin liner is used.

We also offer a standard jacket made from Flightsuits's Mountain Cloth which is nearly indestructible, however it's not quite canon since it's not OD ripstop. As for the cut of the jacket, let me just say in response to that user!? chap that I personally own two autographed, screen used jackets...and the cut, fit and pocket placement of ours is spot on when compared side by side. Until one owns and compares the two, one would not know the similarities. (Dan Kim [& others] have spent countless hours making the jackets as correct as possible!)

I also own several of our Standard Jackets, and an Uber Jacket. The Uber Jacket is a 99% match for my OD Daniel Jackson Jacket. That

I'm always sad to hear someone who is upset with their jacket, and I'm sorry, but I can assure you that (at Gatecon last year) no one was laughing at anyone in regard to any costume or costume piece (if they had a shred of decency.)

As for all the great people at the SGUK & SGCC, thank you for all your comments, suggestions and great attitudes!!! :D You are a credit to the SG fanbase!

cheers-
-LT

Re: Thanks, guys!
Hi LT

Thanks for your comments, I know you had at least one screen used, and your envolved with the gateroom jackets so thats why I reconed they'd be real close, I know camera angles and alike can make proportions seem different.

Anyways I got a bed to goto.
