Legend of the Worldwalker Legend of the Worldwalker Grumble “the Axe” Pixiestomper has earned many names during his adventuring career: Assassin’s Bane, Faerie Fiend, the Lady-Maker, Darkness Arisen, the Head Harvester, Brother Death, the Leach, the Decapitator, the Old Bastard, the Gnarled Wolf, the Black Wolf, Wandering Hands, Waylayer and the Worldwalker. Like most dwarves, Grumble’s adventuring career began under the simplest of circumstances: Weapons and money. In his homelands, he gathered many friends that later became family to him. Though, he held many close to him, no creature would ever be as deadly as the friend he held close to his heart: The White Wolf. An assassin among assassins, the White Wolf spread his seed generously among woman - willing or unwilling - and spawned bastard babies to the four corners of the Earth. Brothers in a clan called the Brotherhood of the Knife, Grumble and the Wolf never had reason to cross swords until the Wolf sought the pleasures of Grumble’s own adopted, human daughter. Defiled by a man she never wanted and a child she never asked for, Grumble’s daughter fled to places unknown leaving her infant son to her dwarven father. Upon discovering his daughter gone and the circumstances that brought his grandson to this world, Grumble demanded the life of the White Wolf. The Brotherhood of the Knife refused. To the clan, the dishonor of one mere girl was not worth losing their premiere assassin. The White Wolf was pardoned and Grumble was told to get over it. It was something the Brotherhood of the Knife regretted to their dying breath. One-by-one, with his infant grandson Ebon Darkshade strapped to his back, Grumble hunted and beheaded each member of the old clan until only a few founding members remained to include the White Wolf. Walking the path of ‘Glorious Hell’, Grumble continues his journey to destroy the last of the Brotherhood of the Knife, find his lost daughter and kill the White Wolf.
