Take 5 or 6 potatoes and peel and dice them,add 1 chopped onion and enough water to cover and cook until tender. When the potatoes are tender add bacon drippings or butter, whichever is your flavor preference,about 2 T.. With a potato masher mash potatoes but leave a few chunks.Then add about 1-2 cups milk and keep heat on low.Add cornstarch or flour with a little water to make as thick as you like. Serve with crackers or corn bread.

You might want to add more bacon drippings or butter to your liking.We add more bacon drippings because we really like the flavor. Hope you enjoy it!
