Safe Place to Call Home

If you are ever in a situation where you can't get any private time in a wooded area try this exersize you will find the simplicity easy to follow and useful for creating a safe place to go to when getting to meditate. Even nature lovers will enjoy it so try this some time.

First you start off by going out in the yard and picking something fresh that you like or like the scent of even a lump of grass will do in a fix. Go lay down in your bed or a nice comfortable place where you can get some privatey and won't be bothered. Place what you picked by your side.

Next close your eyes and relax. Start taking some slow deep breaths in through your nose and out through you mouth. Letting your thoughts, worries, and stress to slowly dissolve away by each breath you take.

Clear your mind of all that is around you then start concentrating on what you put by your side letting the smell grow stronger and stronger to the point where it smells like the way a wolf would smell it.

Start building a picture in your mind of a wooded area. Envision the sounds you would hear around ..the birds
chirping, the squirrels scurring about, even the sounds of the rustling leaves in the trees. Hear the sound of
the leaves crackle beneath your feet as you slowly start turning to look around you. The wooded area you have just created is your own it is Home. Wander around a bit picking up the scents around you observing all that you see, hear, smell, and feel. Then find a nice cozy spot you feel is safe and comfortable. In your minds eye lay down on this spot you have found feel the leaves and the grass around you and glance up and observe the area of this space and remember it well. In you mind close yours eyes take a long slow deep breath... hold it for a moment feeling peaceful and calm within and as you are letting out the breath slowly open your eyes to see yourself back in the the place you are meditating in. You should feel calmer and more relax than you were before you started and you should feel at Peace with who and what you are now.

This is a simple Meditation technique that I created specifically for ones with the Lupine/Were nature but it can be modified for others types of natures.

By creating a safe place in your mind you can come back to it at any time you feel the need to and it helps when you are having problems with things. This meditation once repeated a number of times will allow you to even picture it with your eyes opened this is kind of like switching channels on what your eyes see. You can even use it to start a trek of discovery about yourself but always remember to go to your safe place first and end it back there where you began.
