Wow ... I can't believe there is actually a Davy Jones message board and what's more, it seems like --from reading all the posts-- that some of you actually know him personally. Have you ever heard a song for 30 years and still been unable to tell what the singer is saying? Recently I downloaded "Look out, here comes tomorrow" and was hit with how thick Davy Jones' British accent is! "I was like geesh, what is he saying??" After looking at the lyrics, I was AMAZED to see what he was really saying and after listening to the song about 10 times straight was able to make most of it out. (I am mainly referring to the 3rd verse) However, even with the lyrics in front of me, there is one line I am confuzzled about and maybe you die-hard Davy fans will know the answer to this .... On the line where he says "Sandra, long hair and ...." the lyrics say "pig tails" but it sure sounds to me and my friend like he says "long hair and big curls" .... maybe it is just 30 years of thinking this is what was being said but I can't hear "pig tails" for the life of me. Anyone know for sure? Oh ... one more thing ... I know Davy Jones appeared as a cartoon character and sang a song called "I can make you happy" on Scooby Doo. In the late 70's or early 80's there was someone with a distinct British accent who sang the Scooby Doo theme song ... my friend thinks it was Davy Jones tho I think it was Andy Gibb and another friend thinks it was some unknown studio musician. Does anyone know? Nice board, btw and I will stop by again soon.
