MARRIAGE
SALAAM

Hope everyone is well, i wonder if someone can help me. OK lets start from the beginning im 21 and its come to the point where parents are starting to think about my marriage. Now both my parents are Pakistani however i was born and bought up in england-despite this i have kept my religious values and feel that i have a good mix of eastern and western values. I have taught girls to read the Koran in my local mosque and am referred to as baji (big sister) by anyone younger than me living in my area.

My marriage is going to be arranged- by this i do not mean that i will have no say in the matter, just that i will have the final say after meeting this guy the one time (after my parents have found a 'suitable guy'). I am not at all bitter about this. however i am still human and so it really scares me to think that i could easily make the wrong decision, i despite the thought of divorce, and listening to some of the stories on this site about how some women have been trapped into a marriage does not really help.

Are there any prayers or Koranic verses that may help?
