Macs
Not sure were to put this So... Rants cover everything I guess. Feel free to move it tho.


I am on a Mac for 10 hours a day were I work. And it gets old fast. But anyways Has Anyone Figuered out a way to us EQ IM on a mac?

If anyone can help my pain pls let me know. I Can DL it but I cant run it. Maybe change the format ect ect? There has to be a way to work around everything ;) and I know there are some talented Comp people here..

Also I know they have eq for a mac ,but its bassed of a different server base then reg eq.. Does anyone know if you can get a Windows Adapter program for Mac / run it , and then lunch eq from there? There has to be some l33t set up you can do . Where there is a will there is away!

There is VirtualPC, but that won't run EQ (and if it does it won't be very well...at all) The problem, however, is this. Firstly Macs are based off the PowerPC chips, PC's are still back in the stone-age with x86 chips. So any program you have that is compiled to run on a PC CAN NOT run on a mac without some kind of emulation.

One of their projects is an IRC gateway for EQIM. Run a special server that connects to EQIM, and any IRC client can connect to it.

Wine requires x86 arch to run, because it doesn't do any real emulation at the machine level.
