Matchbox revolving countertop displays
We relocated last summer from TN to MA. During the move, the brittle plastic tops for my four, revolving plastic Matchbox display cases were damaged.
I've been dealing with the insurance company who assigned a furniture repair company to the case. The repair company has had one of the broken plastic tops since early December and is assessing if there's a cost-effective way to make replacement tops.
The insurance company doesn't sound like they have a lot of faith in the repair company's ability to make replacements. I gave the insurance company replacement value estimates based on some completed eBay auctions. This is my only source on market value and the insurance company tells me they don't accept eBay auctions as a source for market value.
Can you tell me if there are books, magazines, websites, etc. that would show how much a revolving Matchbox display case like mine goes for these days?
