Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
The roar of Isamu's motorcyle could be heard all around as he raced to the mountain. Sure he had no idea where to go from there, but thats where knives would come in handy. As he came to a skidded halt he cut the engine to phantom. Within moments Punishment was attached to his back, the lock was engaged on Phantom, and His goggles were ready for whatever might try to mess up his vision.
"Come on kid, I don't have all day!" He shouted, not sure weather or not the kid could hear him. He was crouched in the bushes, and Phantom was well hidden. Hopefully knives wouldn't know he was there until it was too late. He was pondering on wheter or not to risk the chance being spotted by smoking, his decision? An obvious no.
There he waited, rather impatiently, but he waited. The moment knives headed towards the spot in the mountains, Isamu would follow and sprint when the materia was within sight. 'Whats taking him so long?'
Knives bounded up the mountain, leaping from one large boulder to the next, using any piece that jutted out as a surface. The rain was still falling hard, leaving him soaking wet, his clothes clinging to his body and his hair, usually curly, falling into his eyes so that he had to wipe it away quite often. It was a bother, but he had to hurry; he had to beat Isamu here, in order to find this "magic stone" that he had read about.
As he approached the place he was searching for, the dog boy caught a whiff of something. He recognized the scents of people he knew rather well, and after meeting Isamu a few times, the boy's scent was somewhat familiar. So, when it reached his sensitive nose, he stopped in his tracks. His eyes looked around, but the rain had made it very hazy; since Isamu was hiding, he was unable to see him. But he could smell him, and knew pretty well where he was.
"Isamu must be watching for me," Knives thought to himself. "Maybe if I try to sneak past him...if I can't see in this shit, he can't either, right?" He ducked into some nearby bushes, and moved quickly towards his destination.
A few moments later, he came upon a huge, oddly-shaped rock. It was large, and came all the way up to Knives's waist. Also, it had the shape of a gargoyle. It was rather perfectly shaped, as if it were carved, not by hand, but by the precision of a machine. The gargoyle sat there, its wings wrapped around itself, a glare on its face. Knives looked down at it, and smiled; it seemed pretty cool.
After sniffing the air again to make sure Isamu wasn't too close, he reached out and pushed the gargoyle over. Underneath was a hole, just big enough for one body to enter. But it was dark, and seemed deep - it was obvious that within that hole was a large, open space, possibly a cavern. Knives nodded to himself; this was nothing to be afraid or worried about. So, without further hesitation, he stepped forward, and let himself fall into the hole.

Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
Isamu had actually managed to sit there and wait for Knives to arrive. When knives finally arrived he smiled, the race was still on.'It's about time, i was about to think this dogboy was not that good at playing fetch!'
He chuckled to himself, to most his joke would have been corny but he thought of it as funny. As the dog-boy began his search for the hidden materia, Isamu made sure he stayed a safe distance. He had noticed when the boy had picked up his scent by his sudden halt as he reached the mountains.
To most people it would have been a true challenge to keep up with knives in this weather, but Isamu was lucky enough to always have his goggles on him. As the boy plunged into the hole hidden beneath the statue, Isamu sprinted to that same whole.
There was no way he was going to lose to a dog boy. As Isamu sped through the hole, he and Knives were finally hsoulder to shoulder for once during this race. "No materia eh?" He said sarcastically as he withdrew punishment from its sheath. "Start talking kid!"

Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
Knives blinked. As soon as he began his descent, he could smell Isamu's scent getting closer. How had the boy stayed up with him, even in the hazy, foggy air that had been brought on by the rain? It didn't matter, though, there was no way he would catch up; Knives made sure before he'd come this far, that Isamu was a good distance away. So, he ignored the fact that Isamu was on his tail, and focused on the task at hand.
When his feet hit the ground, he bent his knees so as to not get hurt under the impact, falling into a crouching position; his hands hit the ground, to support him so that he didn't completely fall forward. Immediately, he straightened up again, and began running foward, towards the pedestal at the center of the giant room. That was where the materia was supposed to be, he was sure of it.
When he reached it, he looked down at the flat top of the pedestal, a huge smile of satisfaction on his face....only to find a perfectly spherical indention in the surface, where the stone once was. It was obviously no longer there. Knives's look of happiness first turned to one of shock, then his ears drooped and he frowned disappointedly. "Where did it go?!"
It was at that moment that, right behind Knives, a very, very large silhouette appeared. No light shone, so it was difficult to make out the figure initially. Then, two slits opened up to become large, angry eyes, glowing a bright red. Knives seemed not to notice for a few moments, before his ears perked up. The monster growled, allowing Knives to hear him. Without turning, Knives leapt to the side, just in time for the monster's large claw to miss him.
"What the hell!" Knives spun around, just in time to see a large wolf-like being, the size of several men. It stood on its hind legs, though it still held the form of a very muscular wolf. It had the fur, teeth, and claws to prove it. And in the center of it's forehead was the stone he was searching for, a perfect sphere, giving off the same bright red light as the monster's eyes.

Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
Isamu was suprised at the speed that Knives had. He had managed to outrun him and get to the materia before him. Feeling a bit disappointed but not defeated, he brought his pace down a bit. Sure knives may have gained, but that didn't mean Isamu couldn't take the materia from him.
As Isamu reached the end of the tunnel his eyes widened at what unfolded, knives hadn't gained the materia and some beast had him cornered. He couldn't see the front, but he knew what ever it was it wasn't planning on having chit-chat with anything that came across it's path.
Isamu could leave Knives to sit there and be mauled by the beast but it would be against his "code" in two ways. The first being he couldn't leave someone who seemed defenseless alone and the second being that he couldn't allow a fellow student to be harmed.
"HEY! Over here you oversized furball!" Isamu shouted at the beast, trying to distract it from Knives. Isamu's Punishment would be more than enough to slice through the beast, it was just a matter of getting the right hits in.
"We need to work together if we are gonna kill this beast!" As much as Isamu didn't want to, he would have to. It might hurt his pride, but pride wasn't the matter at hand. Getting both of them out of there alive was, and he was determined to see that they both survived.
As the beast charged towards him he saw it, the materia. He knew that destroying it would kill the beast, the problem was how to get to it. He gave a clean swing at the beast's chest as he flipped over it's shoulder and getting next to Knives.
Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
Knives had fallen to the floor, and was now sitting, his hands behind him to support his upper body. When he lifted his head, and peered through his wet hair that had fallen into his eyes, he saw it: the wolf creature, crouching over him, ready to attack again. A look of fear came to his eyes at first; he knew he had the power to defeat this monster, but he was always a bit scared during a battle. Nevertheless, he enjoyed the rush that the fear gave him, the adrenaline flowing through him, his heart pumping madly: it was one of the most fun parts of a fight.
In an instant, he had drawn his sword, gripping the hilt tightly as he held it up in front of him, the silvery blade aimed at the wolf's chest. And when Isamu distracted the monster, and it lifted back up to look away, Knives found the perfect opportunity to attack. He raised his sword to the left, clutching it with both hands tightly as he sat up, and slashed hard diagonally across the wolf's chest, leaving a deep cut, from which blood poured out, covering the beast's fur and tangling it grotesquely.
As the wolf staggered backwards, Knives leapt to his feet, and charged it. As he came nearer, he leapt into the air, lifting his sword high above his head. As he came down from his leap, he slashed hard, slicing down the monster's front, leaving another gash just like the last. As he hit the ground, he leapt back again, to stand beside Isamu.
"Yeah, we should work together...." He nodded, and looked up at the creature. He had no problem working with Isamu; it didn't affect his pride at all. The more help he got, the less work it'd be. That's lazy Knives for you.

Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
As knives landed next to Isamu, Isamu gave him a llok that meant to charge. Isamu focused on the beast's forehead as they charged towards it. Just as it seemed Isamu was going to come in contact with it, he dived and slid under its feet.
It's rear was completely defenseless and Isamu wasted no time in removing it's tail from it. As the blood spilled Isamu rolled and flipped onto his feet, he was pretty sure things were about to get a lot worse.
He was correct on that too, the beast went into a rapage when it saw it's tail lying on the ground. The beast was headed straigh for him at full speed. "Ohhhhhh shit!"
Isamu tried leaping with all the strength he had in his legs, but in mid-air the unexpected happened. The beast cuaght him by his foot and he was now being flung across the room. As Isamu flew towards the wall he had little time to thin but the plan that popped in his head was perfect.
Just as he was about to come in contact with the wall he pushed his feet into the wall and pressed off. As he flew towards the beast at greater speed then what he was flung by he pulled his sword back. The beast instinctively tried to counter but was too slow.
Isamu swung as hard as he could, slicing off a chunk of the materia and landing behind the beast. As he turned to look for the materia, his eyes widened as it came in contact with the hard stone floor and shattered. "Fuck!"
Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
Knives nodded in response to Isamu's look; he knew what it meant. He turned his eyes back to the monster before them, gripping his sword tightly. As he began to charge forward, running at a fast pace, he held his sword up and over his shoulder, ready to slice down. But he slowed down at the last moment, giving Isamu the chance to attack first.
Once Isamu was on the beast's other side, it turned around to focus on him, apparently ignoring Knives. It wasn't the brightest of creatures, even if it was big. As Knives looked up at the large, hairy back before him, he smirked. "This shouldn't be too hard....." he leapt into the air, holding the sword over his head, and spinning it around, so that the blade was facing downwards.
Knives descended at the same time Isamu leapt up to attack the monster's head. Both blades hit at the same time; Knives's sword dug into the creature's back, sliding all the way down to the hilt. Suddenly, in rage and pain, the wolf rose up and roared, throwing Knives off in the process; his sword was still dug deep into its back.
When it turned around, Knives saw that only half of the materia was on the wolf's forehead. He also noticed that the monster was only half the size now: apparently, the materia was its source of strength. Not to mention, Knives had just dealt a fatal blow, yet the monster was still alive. Knives sighed and stood up, finding himself next to Isamu.
"I think we'll have to remove the materia to defeat him..."

Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)"I think we'll have to remove the materia to defeat him..."
Isamu knew that, the question was how. He pulled knives behind the altar as the beast had gone on a rapmage trying to pull the sword from its back.
As Isamu peeked over the altar he couldn't help but giggle at it, it was too funny to see. As he glanced at the sowrd and the beasts forehead an idea came to his mind.
"All right dude, I'm gonna distract him. What I need you to do is climb up his backing using your sword and somehow get that materia out." As Isamu spoke he used gestures to explain as well, he knew knives wasn't dumb but it was a habit he had.
"The problem is, once pulled out that shit is gonna shatter so watch out."
With that Isamu put punishment over his shoulder and charged full speed for the beast's tail that was lying on the ground. As he grabbed it he waved it tauntingly at it.
"Hey fuuuuurball! Look what I got! Doesn't this belong to you?"
Just as Isamu thought, the primitive beast charged full speed towards him. 'Oh shit, he's really pissed' Isamu ran awy from the beast, wanting it to chase him around until knives hopefully completed what was needed to be done. Isamu had gotten upset that his clothes were being ruined, but surviving was more important at the moment.
Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
Knives laughed at Isamu. Of course, the other boy's idea was good: carve the gem from the wolf's forehead. Yet, pulling the sword from the creature's back would be too risky; and Knives had a much better solution. He lifted his dominant right hand, and tensed his fingers into a claw-like shape, his eyes looking down at them. With just a little concentration, he was able to create claws, his fingernails lengthening and sharpening. With a smirk, he looked up....to see Isamu already gone.
A sigh escaped him, and he shook his head. Isamu would just have to do his job, and be the destraction. And, as Knives watched the scene before him, he concluded that Isamu was doing a good job. With a shrug, he began charging the monster, readying himself for an attack.
Just at that moment, Isamu was running straight at him, leading the monster in his direction. Knives didn't slow down; he continued running, as if he would collide head-on with Isamu. But, at the last minute, he leapt into the air, kicking off the ground with enough force to send him hurling over Isamu's head, and straight for the beast. He reared back with his right hand, and thrust it forward at the perfect moment, his claws digging into the flesh all around the gem on the monster's forehead. With a bit of a disgusted look on Knives's face (he can't handle things like this, cutting someone in half is fine, digging his fingers into flesh is just gross...) he grasped down on the jewel, and pulled his hand back hard, tearing it from the wolf's forehead, along with a huge chunk of flesh.
Immediately, Knives dropped the chunk, shaking his hand disgustedly, sending blood everywhere. Blood covered his fingers, and he seemed really freaked out by it. He didn't even notice the gem that he'd taken, or the wolf that collapsed to the ground behind him from its many wounds. "Ugggh! This is so gross!" He cringed, at the thought of what he'd just done.

Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
Isamu couldn't believe what knives had just done to the beast. After that he had respect for the guy, he had actually dug his hand into it's forehead. As he walked over to Knives he pulled out two handkerchiefs, one bloodstained, the other whiter than Isamu's shirt. He handed Knives the clean one and used the other to clean Punishment before sheathing it.
"Use it to clean you hand, it should hold you off until we get back in the rain." He said as he turned towards what remained of the beast, his eyes scanning it for materia. All he could see where tinyshards of it, nothing good enough to use.
"I gotta say, we make an awesome team!" Isamu's smile turned into a frown as he realized why knives most likely hadn't like him, it was that night on the roof. Suddenly he turned back towrads knives rubbing the back of his head with one hand.
"Hey dude, I'm sorry about the nigh on the roof. It was a very asshole-like thing for me to do and if I can I'd like to make it up. Maybe go out for some drinks, just guys?"
Knives nodded at Isamu, and reached out to take the handkerchief, immediately eveloping his bloody hand with it and wiping vigorously. He didn't like the feel of the blood, simply because the thought of his fingers inside the creature's head wasn't a very pleasant one, and the blood reminded him of it. He sighed after a moment, and removed the handkerchief; the blood was gone from his hand, but the frown was still on the dog boy's face; his sensitive nose would be able to smell that horrible stench for a while yet, no matter how much he wiped.
With another deep, irritated sigh, he walked over and removed his sword from the back of the wolf, which was now the size of a regular wolf. As he removed the blade, he realized it was covered in blood as well: somehow, this didn't bother him, possibly because it wasn't his own hand, but probably because he'd stabbed the monster rather than dug his forehead out....He then proceeded to wipe the blade off with the handkerchief.
"Hey dude, I'm sorry about the nigh on the roof. It was a very asshole-like thing for me to do and if I can I'd like to make it up. Maybe go out for some drinks, just guys?" He blinked, and looked up at Isamu. Yeah, it was respectable, but it wasn't necessary. After the battle, he'd actually completely forgotten that situation. He laughed a little, and gave Isamu a smile. "Don't worry, that doesn't matter." He shrugged, and sheathed his sword. "But drinks could be fun."
With that, he turned and looked up at the hole they'd fallen in through. It was rather high, so that a normal human (except only a few skilled ones) would even be able to jump and reach it with their hands. But, as Knives leapt, he cleared the hole easily, landing outside in the rain again. Then, he turned to look down in to the hold. "Uhhm...can you reach?"

Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)"Don't worry, that doesn't matter. But drinks could be fun."
"All right! Lets go drinks on me!"
With that they were headed back the way they had came. Isamu watched as knives leaped out of the entrance and turned back to him.
"Uhhm...can you reach?"
"Of course!"
Isamu said as he looked around him, there wasn't anything to push off of so he would have to depend totally on his strength. He backtracked a little and then ran full speed towards the hole. As he reached a few feet away from it he pressed his feet and hands into the ground as hard as he could and pushed off. Isamu practically flew out of the hole and rolled as he landed.
"YEAH! That was awesome!"
Isamu got up and dusted himself off, the rain had ceased somewhat and the sun was shining through whatever clouds it could breakthrough. As Isamu searched around the are, he found what he was looking for, Phantom.
"Hey, uh dont come back here, I'm changing!" As he spoke you could hear what sounded like compressed air being released. It took a while but once he was done you couldn't even tell he had been in a battle.
"You need a change of clothes?" Isamu asked, emerging from the bushes.
Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
"Why would I wanna go back there while you're changin?" He blinked, and shrugged. At first, he was going to just leave; but he quickly decided against it. Instead, he walked over and sat under a nearby tree, to escape the rain while he waited for Isamu to return. It took a few moments, but it didn't bother Knives; he was impatient sometimes, but he didn't have anything to do now, so sitting still for a few moments wouldn't cause a problem at all.
When Isamu returned, Knives stood up. he looked over at Isamu, and listened while the other student spoke. "You need a change of clothes?" Blinking, the dog boy looked down at himself. His blue t-shirt and khaki shorts had dark red spots and splotches all over them; they were from the wounds of the wolf, since Knives hadn't been hurt at all during the battle. The blood wasn't pleasant, but Knives didn't feel like changing. He shook his head at Isamu in response. "Nahh, I'll be fine til I get back to the dorm."
With that, he turned and began walking back towards the campus. As he walked, he turned his head to look over his shoulder at Isamu, behind him. "Alright, then....what now?"

Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)"Nahh, I'll be fine til I get back to the dorm. Alright, then....what now?"
"Alright, well, lets meet up near the entrance of the dorms or somethin' later. I want to get some rest and shower before I go anywhere. So lets meet there ok?"
With that said, Isamu raced to punishment and took off. Racing back to the dorms where he would get ready for what would most likely be a wild night for the two of them.
Re: Materia? Here? [Cont.] (Knives)
Knives nodded in response to Isamu, and continued walking. "K...works for me!" He laughed a little, and walked off, headed back to his room. It was still raining, so he did his best to walk close to trees and whatnot, avoiding the rain whenever possible.
As he walked, he heard Isamu's motorcycle fly by, and he watched it drive off, until it disappeared into the misty, foggy distance.
And then, he just returned to his dorm, to enjoy the rest of the day inside until it was time to hang out with Isamu.
OOC: it's short and worthless. But there's not much else to say, its the end of the thread >.>
