Materia? Here? (Isamu)
It was a miserable day outside, rain pounding and dark clouds hiding any sign of sunlight from the campus. Very few students, if any, had gone outside today; it was far too wet and unpleasant for anyone to do so. This bothered Knives, who loved being outside, for he felt very restless on rainy days such as this. Which was why he had come to the library.

When he first showed up at MHS, Knives had researched his father's race; he had found next to nothing, but hadn't spent much effort on the subject. He disliked spending time in the library: it was too quiet, and he would rather be active than read. But he had promised himself that, if he ever got the chance, he'd search harder. He really wanted to know more about his own race, as he had very information on them, not even being able to remember the name.

So, today, he came to the library. He could be found, sitting at a table by himself, a pile of books of all shapes and sizes scattered around the table. One fairly large one lied open before him, and the dog boy's deep blue eyes were focused on the page, reading intently: but it wasn't about his race. He'd found something interesting in there. It was materia: a special stone that would increase one's power. So, he read it intently, ignoring everything around him, his German Sheppard ears not even listening to the sounds around him.

"There's a materia stone in the mountain here?!" He exclaimed to himself. It wasn't very loud, but it wasn't a whisper: so it was easily heard by others throughout the quiet library. Knives smiled sheepishly to the others around him, scratching his head: one of his personal mannerisms, and something he seemed to do quite often. "Sorry," he said, much quieter.

"I'll have to go look into this..." He whispered to himself.

Re: Materia? Here? (Isamu)
Isamu wasn't one for libraries but due to the weather, he found himself lying in the crowded corner of one. Some students were whispering back and forth, others were trying to read, some were trying to hook up, but Isamu was there to nap.

He had almost in succeeding in napping when a familiar voice could be heard throught the library. A voice that he wasn't on best terms with. "There's a materia stone in the mountain here?!" Even though they weren't pals, Isamu couldn't help but be attracted towards the subject of that statement. Back at the corporation he had heard of them, but believed they were just myths.

As he made his way he yawned and stretched, not really caring about the rules of silence he laughed loudly. "Why are you apologizing, and whats this about materia, what kind is it?" He said, almost interrogating the dog-boy.

Re: Materia? Here? (Isamu)
Knives blinked, and lifted his head. The dog ears atop his head twitched, picking up a familiar voice: that of Isamu. He sighed a little, running his fingers through his longish, curly brown hair in slight frustration. It wasn't that he hated Isamu, he just didn't care for him much: every time he thought about him, it aggravated him because of that night when he stole Dango.

"Why are you apologizing, and whats this about materia, what kind is it?"

Knives turned around in his chair. Before he looked at Isamu, there was an annoyed look on his face. But when he turned around, his usual, laid back and carefree look had returned, one of the looks that were just a part of his personality. With a shrug, he said, "Who knows..?" The tone in his voice was ambiguous; it was quite obvious he knew, and was just messing around with Isamu.

With that, he stood up, pushing his chair back in the process, so that its legs skidded across the floor. He turned away from Isamu, and walked casually towards the door. On the way, he held up a hand, giving Isamu a wave, without actually turning to look at him. "See ya, man!" And with that, he pushed the door open and exited, disappearing on the other side.

As soon as he stepped to the other side, he began sprinting. He ran down the hallway, sliding to a halt and turning his body in the process, so that he came to a stop at the door. After exiting the campus building completely, Knives took off across the campus grounds, in the direction of the mountain, ignoring the rain that pounded on him, soaking him to the bone. As he picked up speed, he actually fell onto all fours running just like a dog - in this position, he could actually move faster.

Back in the library, the book remained. Knives couldn't check it out, being so new to the school; but he had returned it to a shelf on his way out, closing it, so that Isamu would have to at least look it up again, giving Knives a head start...

As soon as Knives made his rather strange and sudden exit Isamu raced out. He knew knives was lieing and he was not going to let the dogboy decieve him. He burst through the doors and shouted. "I'll beat ya there dog-boy!"

The truth was, he would.... His problem? He had no idea where to go from there. Still he was racing through the halls and fishing through his pockets until he found what he was looking for, just in time too!

As he burst through the doors of the living quarters he withdrew his keys from his pockets. Hopping on Phantom, Isamu stuck they keys in the ignition and punishment in its storage place. Then with a few revs off the cycle, he was out of the parking lot on a wheelie.

It didn't take him long to catch up to the dog boy, and as he did he laughed and waved. "See ya kid!" Then with a push of a button, his speed drastically increased as blue flames could be seen escaping from the exhaust pipes. Within a few moments, he was out of site.
