Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Meeting of the gamers (Thorny)
Ryoko was by herself in her room with the door open. Ayeka had gone out somewhere but Ryoko didn't bother to listen to where she was going. She was too absorbed in the game she was playing, good old fashioned Halo. Ryoko was dressed in a pair of three-quarter jeans and a Blink 182 singlet. Her hair was tied up into a high ponytail. She sat back against her bed, looking at the TV as the characters started to speak.
" The Flood is spreading. If we activate Halo's defenses, we can wipe them out." Ryoko said, along with the game, as it showed that she had unintentionally memorized most of what they said. This would have been the tenth time the red eyed girl had played the game, and she was going from start to finish. It was probably better that her roommate Ayeka wasn't around. She didn't like video games that much.

Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny)
Pax was trolling the hallway, his stomach had incouraged him to finally put down his controller and search out sustenance of some sort. He had managed to find his way to the cafeteria, but, seeing as it was Wednesday, there wasn't much edible down there. He idly ran a hand through his hair, tugging his plaid pajama bottoms up a little further.
Then he heard the voice of an angel, and was immediately swept up in the words from her prophetic mouth . . .
" The Flood is spreading. If we activate Halo's defenses, we can wipe them out."
Forgetting about finding his room, the green-eyed boy popped his head through the girl's doorway. She was reciting one of his all-time favourite games, and this was an opportunity not to be passed up. They might be able to have link parties . . .
"Oi! Girly! Ye got some room fer a bloke on yer team? Or be this a solo-type mission?"
Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny)"Oi! Girly! Ye got some room fer a bloke on yer team? Or be this a solo-type mission?"
Ryoko looked up, a little startled, as someone spoke to her. A stranger had popped his head into her room. She looked at him strangely for a moment, and then realised that he must have been talking about the game she was playing, he must have heard her quote it. Looking back to the screen, Ryoko shrugged. " You can if you want, it doesn't bother me." She replied.
Then it dawned on her that this stranger would be the first person she'd met that seemed to like these kind of games. Ryoko looked back to him with a smile. " I'm Ryoko." She said.

Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny) " You can if you want, it doesn't bother me."
As soon as the girl with the startling red eyes gave the okay, Pax shucked off his curdoroy jacket, revealing the ropey muscles in his arms beneath his wife beater. Tugging at the waistband of his boxers to pull them up, he plopped down beside the chick and picked up a controller.
" I'm Ryoko."
"Coolcool. The name's Pax. I live on this floor, somewhere. At least, I'm pretty sure that this is me floor, can't quite remember. This is the first time I've left me room. Do ye have the S2 AM Sniper Rifle? It's me favourite, that or the Energy Sword. Totally cool, ye know?"

Ryoko looked at the way he was dressed. It was as if he hadn't left his room at all, but she liked that he didn't care what people thought of the way he looked. She looked back to the screen. " Yeah, I have the Sniper Rifle, it's pretty useful. I like using the double barrel shotgun though, it's my favourite." She replied.
Because he didn't know what room, or floor he was in, Ryoko figured he was new. " So, you new around here? Haven't seen a gamer around before." She said. With the way he as talking she also assumed he knew the game quite well to be using the proper names for the guns.

Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny) " Yeah, I have the Sniper Rifle, it's pretty useful. I like using the double barrel shotgun though, it's my favourite."
"Ahh, yer a girl all fer the power, eh? Nice. Me, I like finesse meself, but sometimes that ain't enough, ye know? Ye gotta have a love fer the game though."
" So, you new around here? Haven't seen a gamer around before."
"Aye. Jest got here a day or so ago, but I coulda bin here a week an' ye wouldna known it. I don't vacate the dark corner where me gaming systems are set up often. Not unless I need grub, or if'n I think I can find me someone else to play with."
He nodded his head to emphasize his point, and then loaded up his half of the screen. He scanned through the weapons she had available and selected the M19 SSM Rocket Launcher. If she liked the powerful weapons, he'd do his best to impress. He woulda done the same for any gamer, not just a girl one.
Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny)"Ahh, yer a girl all fer the power, eh? Nice. Me, I like finesse meself, but sometimes that ain't enough, ye know? Ye gotta have a love fer the game though."
Ryoko shrugged. She knew a lot about this game, finishing it nine times would do that to someone, and she was pretty educated about when it came time to choose which weapons were the right ones to use where. " It all depends on what you're up against. Most things are good against the aliens, but when your fighting the machines they go down quicker with the proper artillery." She explained.

She was very interested in hearing about the stranger. He was the first person who sounded heavily into games apart from her. " You won't find people around here THAT dedicated to gaming. In fact, you won't find many interested in it at all, at least none that I've met. They're not into it like I am." Ryoko explained.

Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny) " It all depends on what you're up against. Most things are good against the aliens, but when your fighting the machines they go down quicker with the proper artillery."
Pax was duly impressed. This girl definitely knew her stuff, and it made him smile. He liked having someone around that was able to talk shop with him, per se. He could see a beautiful friendship ahead of the pair of them if she was this into games.
" You won't find people around here THAT dedicated to gaming. In fact, you won't find many interested in it at all, at least none that I've met. They're not into it like I am."
"Well, that be unfortunate then, girly. But, no matter. All ye really need is one other tyke, an' ye got yerself a game."
He finished modifying his character and opened up the options menu, redoing the key layout. He had a specific system set up for the buttons, and he liked it arranged perfectly. Still, what gamer didn't modify the keypad layout?
Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny)"Well, that be unfortunate then, girly. But, no matter. All ye really need is one other tyke, an' ye got yerself a game."
Ryoko nodded as she kept her eyes on the screen and was busy modifying her character. " I suppose that's true. I wouldn't want to hang out with someone who wasn't really that into it, because all they would do is complain. I hate people who complain about when other people are playing." She replied, experiencing that kind of whining before.
"Well, what level are ye at?"
When he asked that Ryoko sat there for a moment thinking. She couldn't remember the name of the level, you know those catchy witty things that come up down the bottom of each level. " Well when you walked in I was at the part when 343 Guilty Spark takes you back to the control room and Cortana tells you that he is a double crosser." She explained.

"Aye, I know. Me brother's were always complainin' that I was on the box, and that there was no fun to behad watchin me pummel monsters on the screen. That's when they'd pummel me. Now that's brotherly love."
Pax grinned hugely. They were rather fond memories, now that he looked back on them. After all, his brother's were making an effort to get to know him, in their own way.
" Well when you walked in I was at the part when 343 Guilty Spark takes you back to the control room and Cortana tells you that he is a double crosser."
"Hrmm, good level. I be impressed. How many times ye played this? I can't remember if'n I asked ye that or no."
Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny)"Hrmm, good level. I be impressed. How many times ye played this? I can't remember if'n I asked ye that or no."
" Hm..." Ryoko began, eyes practically glued to the screen. " About ten? Or... is this the tenth time... Uh... I can't remember, somewhere along those lines." She explained. She looked to Pax out of the corner of her eye, assuming he would be fairly into the game already. He was so in focus, she wondered if he would notice her move. Quickly, Ryoko brought her arm up and pushed him over, smirking to herself.
" Sorry 'bout that, don't lose focus now." She said.

" About ten? Or... is this the tenth time... Uh... I can't remember, somewhere along those lines."
Pax nodded, still looking at the screen. This game was so good, it didn't matter how often you played it. That was what was great about random encounter plots.
"Aye, same here, at least I think s - oi!"
" Sorry 'bout that, don't lose focus now."
The green-eyed boy fell over, dropping his controller in an ungainly and unscheduled make-out session with the floor. Letting out a yowl like an offended cat, as he scrambled back into an upright position. Most people would go for the return push, but not Pax. He dove to retrieve his controller.
"Don't die baby! I'll save you!"
Pax immediately transformed into Agent Teamkiller, and turned to open fire on Ryoko's little man, using the rocket launcher he had already selected.
Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny)"Allright girly, ye're goin down now!"
Watching at Pax blew up Ryoko's little man, there was a slight anger in her eyes. She looked at him. " You can kill my little man but you can't stop me!" She shouted. Ryoko grabbed the cord to his controller and pulled it out, laughing all the while. Too bad for him, she had the wireless one, so he couldn't pull on any cords. She smirked at him and pushed him over again. " Oh, where's your baby now?" She asked.

Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny) " You can kill my little man but you can't stop me!"
There was a hint of warning in the girl's voice, so Pax quickly turned his head to see what was going on . . . in time to see her pull the controller cord from the box. His eyes went wide . . .
"Noooo . . . ."
Pas watched in horror as a swarm of little aliens eviscerated his little baby, and the big GAME OVER sign flashed on the monitor. She had killed his baby!!! Then she pushed him over again and he face planted.
" Oh, where's your baby now?" She asked.
"That's it girly, ye're askin fer it now. Don't ever say I didn't give ye a fair chance . . . "
Pax pushed himself up off the floor and pounced on Ryoko. He had encountered this scenario often enough when playing with his older sister, and knew just how to recover his manly dignity. He began tickling the smaller girl.
Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny)"That's it girly, ye're askin fer it now. Don't ever say I didn't give ye a fair chance . . . "
Suddenly Ryoko got pounced on. She didn't see this one coming. Then he started tickling her. Lucky guy, tickling was Ryoko's weak spot. She was an incredibly ticklish person, but had only found this out about a week or so ago when she was hanging out with Jun. She broke out into a hysterical fit of laughter as she tried to push his hands away, but found that she couldn't. " Ok ok, I give! I'm sorry for killing your baby!" She shouted.

Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny) " Ok ok, I give! I'm sorry for killing your baby!"
Pax got up, a huge grin on his face as he dusted his hands off in a triumphant gesture. He was a tickler extroardinaire, with years of practice under his belt. He poked the shorter girl once more for fun.
"I thought I could change ye're mind, girly. Now, no more fowl play, or I'll get ye again. Mayhap we should play one on one ruther than cooperative, if ye're in a killing me kinda mood, eh?"
He was enjoying himself here, sitting on the floor of the girl's room. Obviously she was a good gamer, and they were definitely hard to come by, apparently more so here than in other places. Mind you, he could see that. There were people here who's daily life was like a video game, what would they need to play one for?

Ryoko shrugged, then nodded. She looked over to him, surprised that she could get along with someone so well this quick, and a question came into her mind. " So how many games do you own?" She asked, wondering if his collection was anything like hers. She grinned at the thought of her collection, and the games hidden all over the place in her room. Ayeka didn't like them very much...

Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny) " So how many games do you own?"
Pax tried to think of how many games he owned, he knew it was a lot, in fact, most of his luggage had contained games. Still, he could at least attempt to answer her.
"I dunno, maybe a thousand. But remember, I gots 12 different gaming systems that those be spread through. I don't have a system preference, I jist like the games, ye know?"
He closed his eyes, thinking longingly of all the systems hooked up to his pair of televisions in the room. He wasn't a big fan of split-screen, so he had rigged up a system so that each person's view was on a seperate screen. It had been hard, and had required a lot of work to figure out, but it was worth it for the game . . .

" Hm... right. I figured you would have a lot." Ryoko explained. Thinking to all the places she had games, the red eyed girl looked to her closet. Half of it was blocked off because she'd put games in it. Every drawer on her side had some games in it too. There were a few under her bed. She wondered what it would be like to try and clean all this up.
" I don't know how many I have. Some in the closet, in all those drawers, a few under the bed, a couple tucked underneath the mattress. There are probably more. My roommate doesn't like games that much." Ryoko explained. There wouldn't be any other reason for her to hide her collection.

Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny) " Hm... right. I figured you would have a lot."
Pax grinned at Ryoko, he did have a lot, he guessed. But he didn't really consider it that many, considering all the game systems he had. The games were pretty well dispersed, all things considered.
" I don't know how many I have. Some in the closet, in all those drawers, a few under the bed, a couple tucked underneath the mattress. There are probably more. My roommate doesn't like games that much."
"Your roommate doesn't like games? Brutal. I hope me roommate, if I have one, I haven't seen them, likes games. If they don't, I'm gonna dread being at home, which will suck, since that's where all me games are."
Re: Meeting of the gamers (Thorny)"Your roommate doesn't like games? Brutal. I hope me roommate, if I have one, I haven't seen them, likes games. If they don't, I'm gonna dread being at home, which will suck, since that's where all me games are."
Ryoko shook her head. " My roommate is very... different. We're exact opposites, so it's ironic that we got stuck together. She's pretty cool, provided you get to know her and don't question her judgment that much." She replied. Thinking about that, Ryoko found that what she was saying was a little wrong. " Well, I question a lot of the stuff she says. Like how she always calls me a 'lady of the night.' It's not nice, but it doesn't bother me that much." She added.
Ryoko tried to imagine what she would like this room to be like, if she didn't have a roommate. " If I was here on my own in this room, I'd set up all my consoles on separate TV's around the room and have a comfortable chair in the middle. Depending on how long I would want to go for, I would have a tiny fridge put in somewhere too. That way I wouldn't have to leave." Ryoko explained.
