MicroMV to DVD
Hello all! This one is (or seems to be) a toughie!
I have a Sony Handycam DCR-IP55E. It uses those really tiny MicroMv tapes. Now I've installed the USB drivers and the movie editing software. The thing is, the computer only picks up a signal when the camera is in 'Memory/Network' mode...which is when I can access everything on the memory stick, but not the tape.
I assumed that maybe I could access the stuff on the tape with the editing software that came with it (MovieShaker), but when I launch it, a small splash screen comes up, and then nothing happens. When you look in 'Task Manager' it doesn't come up as a running program (although it does in 'System Processes')
Windows Movie Maker doesn't allow you to input via USB...
Any ideas? Should I just look for a newer version of MovieShaker?
If I haven't made anything clear, let me know
