Mith Marr dart
What's the drop rate of the dart off Mith Marr? Likely to be to MM in the near future and I currently have the most raid points of the rogues in guild. Just wondering if I should bid heavy for it.. or let one of the gung-hos have a shot at it if they want to blow a huge wad to get it? I can always try for it again on any one of the times he drops at a later date. Or is it a rare enough drop and I should go ahead and bid heavy as well?

Unless you're progressing very slowly, I'd wait for something better to come along. Dart also wasn't all that rare in my experience, but everyone's mileage seems to vary.

The 2 mobs that can drop updates for our guild that we have killed are MM and Sol Ro. Neither have dropped daggers yet. So I wouldn't say they are common. Still using a Gargoyle Talon after about 5 months in the elementals.

Hmm would seem after MM, Solusek (GRMK) would be not be too much later. /shrug Solusek doesnt have a very large loot list either.. would think GRMK would drop fairly often.
Followed by next big target goal being Fennin (Lfir).
Regardless.. the biggest boost is gonna be from getting ANY of these nice ratio/Bstab bonus piercers in replacement of epic. Once epic is bagged I dont think theres a huge gain over bagging MDoD.. not for breaking the bank anyway I'd think..
Still not sure if I should break the raid point bank the first time any of the daggers drop... hmm...

mith marr poker is a nice utility dagger
i've always tried to get teh snare dagger from each expansion, just so when you need snare, you can swap in a weapon that doesn't drop your DPS too much

Dart was pretty common for my guild. As others have said SolRo should be close behind and we've seen GRMKs very often too. GRMK is a bit better DPS wise but dart has the nice utility snare.
Personally I took the dart and I've passed on GRMKs that dropped, holding out for an ifir eventually, but both are very nice.

I dont have raid points or weaps to spare.. it'd be what I'd be using.. if it really does gank aggro like mad.. I guess I'd just have to use epic on raids and the likes.. /shrug

I'm guilded with Awful and we both have darts. I only spent DKP on it because I knew that even when I upgraded past it, I'd likely end up needing it on LDoN missions and the like.
I've since paid for a GRMK and Ifir and don't regret having DoI around. As for the aggro, it's been reduced. When I first got it (and it overwrote the Warrior skill Incite) I was pulling more aggro than I'd ever had. As of a few months ago it was reduced though. Don't let that be a factor in your descision making.
It really comes to getting all your Rogues one of the two to start with. Then start going for the slight upgrade/good utility arguements. Get whichever drops first. If you get a DoI you may well skip on GRMK, but it's not honestly that huge a difference.

Im usin a Garg Talon in PoTime. We had 0 ifers drop, 2 darts, and 1 solro dagger during our months in elementals. We had about 9 rogues(our most numerous class)
But we are a pst guild, and most guilds we have are EST/CST so we were usually in PoA or PoW =)
Good thing is DoD drop like candy in Time.

Tough choice, but if u are indeed at the top of the rogue food chain, then i would have to say pass. The DoI is a great utility snare dagger, but in the end thats all it is IMHO. Especially since u have the LDoN dagger.
If you are killing MM, then Sol Ro really is right around the corner, and FRo isn't too far behind him. Also, the DoI was stupidly high agro for me. Dying on raids was not a rare occasion.
I'd personally save your spot on top of the dkp list as long as possible to hopefully get first dibs on Ifir. Ifir is the craziness ~

I love my DoI and Im glad I got it and will have the snare utility forever to swap in when and if I ever upgrade it. Got it November of last year and cant say I really noticed a reduction in agro during that time, its never been as bad as many make it out to be and I never swap it out, even for boss mobs. Only time I end up tanking frequently is when its a newly 65 warrior with no AA's in a pickup LDoN group or similar situation. Nice saves and really nice hp.
We've now done Solusek Ro and MM a little over a half dozen times each, so far one dagger drop from each, but just about every caster has an orb of the sun! Nice thing is that we have a bunch of the haste belts from MM. Drops are really about luck and we (the rogues) have been unlucky.
In your shoes, already having a LDoN dagger, its definitely not worth spending beaucoup points for, but if you can wait a bit and get it at a reduced price or even a better ratio upgrade, I would.
Also would depend on how fast your guild moves, we are a casual family guild, 6 months ago when I got the DoI, it was one of our first MM hits, Solusek Ro came probably 3+ months later and we arent really all that close to touching Fennin, though we are elemental.

Yah save the dkp for Ifir. He (Fennin Ro) is a joke once you figure him out, and the Ifir still is one of the best daggers in the game for the RvR imho. Even though there are super crazy daggers that drop in time, Ifir is still one of the top 5 daggers in the game today.

Guild will be doing Solusek Ro soon, hoping a GRMK will drop first couple kills so the rogues higher than me can get that out of the way, and i'll be open for something =p 1 Dart in 3 or 4 MM kills for us so far, but if you have the highest DKP, i'd save and wait on GRMK, or if you REALLY want to wait, hold out for Ifir. Like everyone has said though, unless your progressing slowly, or your lower in line for it, hold out on DoI ;p

From experience, MM dropped the Dart 40% of the time we took him out.
After the first kill and dart, he has dropped multiple darts twice. Also after the first dart, the dkp price dropped dramatically.

RNG can still bring the pain. My guild has killed both Mith Marr and Sol Ro at least six times each, and neither has coughed up a dagger for us yet. On top of that, none of the Ssra mobs we occasionally do have dropped a dagger either in the same amount of time. Only daggers seen in like six months were the Gleaming Obsidian Shard and a bunch of Ancient Burrower Spines.
We're doing Fennin soon (when time allows us), so hopefully this changes.

I really, really hope that happens for us. I'm slack lately and done ONE north ro adv in the past month, so i'm the only rogue as of rightnow without a 16+ damage peircer, and its hurting. Belt + Bow, Sword + Bow, Belt + Belt, Sword + Dart, i'll give my left leg for the next kill to be Dart + Dart

Lookin at the Guild dkp database seems we've had a much greater drop rate on the DoI per kill than GRMK. Currently weilding the dart myself, Fennin's bein stingy with me. The DoI aggro is noticeable if your with a poor tank, but 90% of the time or more it isn't noticeable for me. Another similar dager is the augmented MDoD from LDoNs. I say go for it if Mith Marr drops one, specialy if your using a Garg Talon still.
