Moagara
I understand you guys have been talking about the campaign, and how maybe to revive it. That's good, but I think it's unfortunate that it has taken the death of the campaign to make this happen. Communication was our biggest problem, I believe. There were serious issues between the players that were not brought up and resolved. This poor level of communication led to some people wandering away from the campaign, not posting, and generally acting as a drag on the whole endeavor. This led to resentment.

Still, even with the active participation of all involved, we had a lot of challenges to overcome. Running a RPG game on a message board is tough. Really, it was rare to have a simple conversation between two players since few players were on at the same time. Having people on both coasts didn't help.
Ezboard was good for speeches, not for conversation.

Decision-making was like pulling teeth. In a face to face game I could simply look around the table, say "is this what you do?" and get an instant response. Not so with Ezboard.

Running encounters was also a lot of work. Creating the maps and explaining the situation was difficult, and often led to confusion.

So, now that I've been able to take a complete break from Moagara I realize how nice it is not to have to deal with all those issues. We had three good years, and that's good enough for me.

I don't hold any ill will toward anyone and absolutely enjoyed running Moagara. I think everyone had their moments of brilliance during the campaign, and you should all be proud of that.

Thanks for playing. Cheers.

Re: Moagara
As much as I dont like your decision, I respect your decision and understand why and accept it.

I know I have said this numerous times, I truly did enjoy the game and thank you for running it. It sucks that it has to end, but all good things come to an end.

Again, thanks.

Re: Moagara
Why does it have to be this campaign? Or this game? Or this exact group of people?

Because it was that damn good buddy boy. If you are eating truffles and someone hands you a Hershey's kiss, you're kinda like, damn what a let down.

Wait a minute, are you saying you are going to start up another one? I'm in. I don't care who's playing, I get along with most everyone.

I'm not saying anything other than Moagara is over and done with. Beyond that, don't hold your breath.

Re: Moagara
In addition to your creative input I think we the players also helped breath life into your world. As such I feel some attachment to it. It was a rich and fertile land with which to play out our characters.

I will miss it a lot.

Even though you spilled your guts with all the secrets and what not, I hope you will eventually pick up where you left off.

The Companions evolved into a great heroic force which I think is rare in role-playing. Too often it is a bunch of non-sense. Or worse a boring bit of non-sense.

So,

I will sign off with a hope that you will come to your snese, and realize that we have a good thing going here and with some time and perspective, We all can meet again in Moagara some day.

Peshaw, now that Scott's revealed all the big secrets Moagara is surely dead.

What I'm curious about is what next delight will spring forth from his twisted genius.
