NSYNC Drove BSB To Make New Sound?

The Backstreet Boys owe a lot to *NSYNC -- the younger lads forced them to recreate their latest sound.
The Backstreet Boys revamped their typical boy band sound for new album "Black & Blue" -- because their original style had been stolen by *NYSNC.
Band member Kevin Richardson explains, "We feel the sound we had created with Max and Dennis at Cheiron Studios in Stockholm has been kind of diluted -- what with Britney and *NSYNC -- and now it's no longer our sound.
"It's a lot of other people's sound and that's frustrating for us. And that is why we are experimenting more with our own production and working with people like Baby Face and Rodney Jenkins."
But the singer insists there is no feud between the rival bands -- it's just question of management.
He adds, "We don't have any problem with the guys personally. They're nice, talented guys. The whole conflict was after we became successful.
"Our old management company created them in our image and that was a problem for us -- that kind of hurt our feelings and drove a wedge between us and our own management." -- WENN
Personally I think everyone needs a little competetion... that's the only way to get motivated...and if BSB wants a new soung then I'm excited to hear it.

I agree! I mean BSB brought back the sound (NKOTB had it but they were outta the picture already) and here somes little old NSYNC and does the exact same thing! But in a way i'm glad cause I like to new sound! I've been a fan since 97 so I've kinda grown and change with BSB!

Yeah, and whether NSync drove BSB or BSB drove NSync, we all have to admit that lately, these guys have been changing their sounds to keep with the changing music trends. That's a sign of a true artist, changing with the changing styles of music.

its good that the keep changin so they sound newer and better, b.c if you still have teh same sound you had 5 yrs ago it wouldnt work out
