Need for speed
www.bsdunix.ch.nyud.net:8...s20_04.mov
This movie was done by a french film maker, Claude Lelouche, who attached a camera onto a Ferrari 275 GBT in 1978 and had his friend, who was a formula 1 race car driver, drive around France early in the morning. It is said that the speed was in excess of 140 mph.
The opening sentences says "The film you about to see was neither faked or accelerated" and the ending captions say "It was a meeting"
Enjoy....

Wow!
My heart is still pounding. Awesome. Where did you find that?
Also it is cool to see Paris at 120mph!

Neat-o! That was some hard drivin - narrowly missing a few dump trucks. I bet he had to scrape a few pigeons off the front of his car.

It's all over the web. Just google rendezvous.mov. I had to use a different site to get it.
I love the way he hits the circle around the Arc de Triomphe without slowing down after the looong straightaway. That and the woman yanking her dog out of the way. I'd love to get a count on how many red lights he blew through at speed.
