New Audi S-line... It's not a HONDA, but it's a GERMAN CAR    Uncompromising sportiness is the distinguishing feature of the Audi TT Coupe 1.8T quattro "S line" which is available as a limited edition model, until the end of 2001. The 165 kW (225 bhp) Coupe can be ordered in the exclusive pearl effect colors Avus Silver and Misano Red. In addition to the TT Coupe's extensive standard equipment specification, "S line" includes a series of customized sporty attributes supplied by the Audi subsidiary quattro GmbH:  Sports suspension with the body lowered by 20 mm 18-inch "9-spoke" cast alloy wheels with 225/40 ZR 18 tires Standard leather seats in black; color-customised leather seats in red or silver available as an option Aluminum gear knob Xenon headlights with titanium-colored headlight trims. The "S line" emblem on the rear side panels between door and wheel arch tells experts that they are looking at a special kind of TT Coupe. The TT "S line" is the first representative of the new S line concept. This name will also be used in future to describe particularly sporty packages ñ together with individual visual refinements ñ for other Audi model series.  "VwKlub Québec" Board Manager

Hi,
here in Germany you can see so many TTs (even Quattros) on the streets, that the car isn't special any more!!! I even can't stand it any more. If I have the choice I would buy a S2000, hmmm!!!! Greetz Dannycrx@uboot.com |

Re: New Audi S-line... Hy, the Audi TT isn't so special in Europe. But the pearl effect color, that's a fine thing. I'm looking forward to see the pearl effect in real on a Audi TT!! Re: New Audi S-line... hm ... greetings ... i just whant to know why the guys in america and canada are all so amazed by german cars like VW and AUDI??? i can't understand a behavior like that ... i mean, you've got great V8 engines ... 6000ccm and so on ... and by the way you don't have to pay much for full ... i think there is nothing better than V8 engines ... no german car would be faster ... or am i false? hmmm ... so long ... stefan ps: canada is a great country ... i've been there a year ago ... only for one week but it was very interesting to see! especially the fall with it's pretty colors ... just dreaming of it :-) Edited by: stefanEC9 at: 9/6/01 1:12:34 pm |

Re: New Audi S-line... Bah, if you take an american V8 like the MUSTANG, you can beat it with a 4 or 6 cylinder easily... Me, i think that German Cars are the greatest cars in the world. The more technological, more perfomance etc.... They demonstrated it in F1 and in many racing competition...

The engine isn´t bad but nothing special. Consumes much more fuel than a Honda with comparable power.

Re: New Audi S-line... But you have more "TORQUE" in a VR6 than in a 1.6 or 1.8 Litres But i know that cost more $$$ in gaz, but if you tuned this engine, you have more than an 1.6 or 1.8 Litres But HONDA have VTEC, and i love this technology So i don't know already yet which one i'll take
