New Purge and Envenom?
Here is a question; will you still put points into Envenom if the new level 3 purge becomes prevalent? Purge on a 5 minute time will almost guarantee whomever you run into solo will be ready to remove all your poisons. Even the 15 minute timer dramatically increases your odds of being purged and removing one of our defining advantages. Do you think points will be better spent increasing melee or will you simply swap weapons like mad which has a detrimental effect on you dps (switching weapons can cost you valuable time)?
Could be thier thinking with all getting viper. So the damage bonus stays about the same as it is now :-(

purge vs/ env
The short answer is yes. My fights don't last 5 minutes.
Of all the negative effects that purge works against, poison is least effected. The main thing is that you should assume they will purge and be ready to re-apply the poison.
New Viper will encourage me to spec higher in env to get as much up front damage as possible. With the new system, poisons will become as important as they were back before poison was on the resist table.
<...mutters something about poison being on the same resist as mezz>
Finally, purge 3 will not become prevelant... it costs all the RLs you will get till you are RR4 to have Purge 3. There are just too many other things to get. However, Purge 1 will become a must have RA that everyone will get early.

It will definatly be a factor. The only thing it won't really effect is enervating poison. Even if they purge it the damage is done the hp are lost.
