New RAs : Infiltrators
[Note: In order to foster communication and organization within our Safehouse community I am going to take the initiative to divide up some threads. In your class area discuss: "New class specific" issues, issues associated with the loss or generalization of your previous abilities and how the other realm's classes and stealthers may affect you - positively or negatively. Feel free to post in other's threads- no one is excluded from discussions.]

Re: New RAs : Infiltrators
Regarding the new "Assassinate" ability...with archers getting constant TS how likely are Infs going to stand in one spot for a long time and how many "doorways" will there really be in the new Frontiers. I mean currently you could stand in a milegate, sure...but not sure how valuable that is on the new setup.
Lastly, what if you get set up and the enemy changes directions or positions...If you need to reposition then all of a sudden you have to reset up. If this goes in, perhaps you should be able to create a ground target and move within 100 of that position. Also, I think while in that position you should be immune from AOE/GTAOE attacks because what is the point of hiding inside a door when every Shaman is going to cast on the door before opening it, etc.
Just ideas.... I guess every new ability will have it's strengths but I just don't know how well thought out this is. ML abilities like SL, Traps, Mez Poisons and the shape change basically holler "HERE I AM OVER HERE" to anyone within range of you - I would hate to see more of the same with the NS and Inf abilities. They need to be more sensitive to the fact that once stealthed we really need to stay stealthed while using our abilities.

The only place it may be useful is in keep defense.

Take into consideration Emain Macha.
Was that specifically designed to be the main playground for RvR?
No.
Did Mythic ever come out and say "We want most RvR to happen here."
No.
So what makes people think that, just because there aren't milegates, players won't find new spots to have most of the RvR? They did it before, despite Mythic. Why wouldn't it happen again?

Ahh, I forgot the other useful place. In the new frontier underground 'dungeon'.
..
There is a huge difference between having a mile gate and not. Currently you know where people are going to run through.... that really will not happen as reliably with frontiers coming out.

I still believe most people with pick a spot and, as a result, the majority of RvR will happen in that spot. It happened with Emain.
It goes beyond Milegates. There were Milegates in Odin's Gate and Hadrian's Wall as well. People don't go there. They go to Emain.

Red-
An archer with new TS3 will only be able to see an infiltrator in assasinate mode from about 200 range.
