Overlord Paffa Raid - Monday 7pm PST
I would like to run a joint DH/EP Paffa raid in CoD. Level 55 plus to enter zone, or have completed Grummus to have flag entry.
We will need high participation from both guilds to make this event a success, so please try to at least check online and see if it is a go.
If Overlord Paffa is not up, Vindi will be attempted.

I was xp-ing with some EP folks yesterday, and there was a raid attempting Paffa. They wiped once while we were there, but were going to give it another shot. Not sure what the spawn time on that guy is, but if anyone is on-line sometime today, you might want to make sure that he's up.

CoD is the Cave of Decay.
The entrance is located in a cave behind Plane of Disease. It is 55 plus to enter the zone.

We started late because of lack of proper classes... but, we got it done. Success and grats to Kallea/Czarcar on the Veil of Bile.
Thanks for all who came out. As you saw last night, we still have strong forces to get stuff done, with the help of our allies. Hopefully, more to come.

Paffa seemed to become targettable right when the last wave popped. I was wondering if a better strategy might be to mez the room BEFORE the tank charges, so we don't have to deal with the confusion of doing it in the middle of fighting him.

did he pop the same time as the wave, or are the others part of him becoming targettable?
the mobs surrounding him may be part of him being killable.
Anyway, with 2 chanters with ae mez we should be able to do this over and over again.

He became targettable at the same time as the last wave popped. I've read that if you fail on him, he will reset after about 10-15 minutes back to the untargettable version, and can be attempted again. He just keeps summoning the waves, and after all waves have been summoned and not killed, they despawn and the room resets back to normal. Haven't been able to find any info on Illia's Bestiary about how long he takes to respawn after he's been successfully killed, but maybe someone can suggest a goood source to look this up.
The strategy used by the guys 1-grouping him was to have a kiter agg the last wave, run them to CoDb, and kite them around while the tank and 2 pets killed Paffa. I bet it would probably work to just pull them out 1 or 2 at a time and mez them, and charge Paffa when all are mezzed. Some can't be mezzed, and they could just be killed fast or rooted.

I want to apologize to anyone who might have felt left out of the Paffa raid we ran. We were not able to run the raid at the set raid time because we did not have the required classes to get the job done. However, an hour later, a defensive tank became available and we went for it. It was not meant to leave anyone out, it was simply bad timing for those who logged on at the scheduled raid time and logged out upon hearing that the raid was not going on.

ahh EZ,
Opinion here, but.... If somone felt "left out", they need a little tougher skin. The reality is we are Not a raiding guild, we are a family guild that can raid some targets when #'s permit, as that is, we do joint efforts with our allies.
I work hours that cause me to HAVE to log at 10 PM CST, which often causes me to miss out on some fun, but in the end, it isnt I have been Left Out.
Heard you had a blast, sorry I wasnt there to do some throwing down with the rest.

Don't feel badly about not knowing all those abbreviations. I get so confused with CoD, CoM, GoD, HoH, HoT and so on. And when I ask what they are, I feel like DuM cause I have been told what they were so many times before. SuM day perhaps I will not have to AsK where we are GoIng

I reply to Tigger "tell Bok to stop being an assjack...Western Wastes don't connect to the overthere".
Tigger looks at guild window and says "Does Warsilisk Woods?"
