Passing the torch (Kyla and Knives)
Isamu was once again patrolling the many corridors of the Buffalo City Mall, why? He was security of course. He hated his uniform, it was so stupid, he also hated his boss. Isamu wasn't the type to enforce the rules, in fact he did the exact opposite.

"This job suuuuucks!"

Isamu leaned against a wall in one of the less populated areas of the mall. HE would quit his job but his boss would stalk him unless someone else took his place.

After a while of standing idle, Isamu began patroling again. The only benefit of his job was that he got to check out all the ladies he wanted and some even liked a man in uniform. As a few girls he had seen from school passed by he smiled and winked, the only perk of his job.

Re: Passing the torch (Kyla and Knives)
Stopping for a mid-mall stretch, Kyla looked around for something to do. Despite the stereotype, she wasn't here to shop. She was more here to hang out. Of course, with her looks and curves, it looked like she was ready to flirt. Problem was, despite her looks, Kyla was the flirting type, at least not on purpose. Kyla dressed simply today. She wore a plain white tank top with the straps of her white lacey bra visible. For her bottoms, she wore a pair of low-cut black jeans and even there, a bit of the g-string of her white panties was showing. On her feet, she wore white tennis shoes to bring her top down with the rest of her outfit. She had a few black and white bracelets around her left wrist, but nothing too crazy.

"Man...I feel so alienated in this place..." She said to herself as she looked around at all the people traveling in groups. It seemed that very few people went to the mall alone. But then, things seemed to get better. "Is that.....?" She started as she spotted Isamu "Isamu!!" She yelled out as she hopped her way over to him. "What are you doing wearing that uniform?" She asked, being less hyper than she usually was.

Re: Passing the torch (Kyla and Knives)
Knives walked through the mall, hands deep in his pockets. He usually didn't come to this place without a purpose; and that purpose was usually either that he needed something specific, or he was coming here with a girl. Today, it wasn't really either of those things; and yet, at the same time, it was sort of both. He was here to look for something simple to buy for Dango - nothing too extravagant for it to be between friends, yet nothing too simple that she wouldn't care about it.

As he walked through the mall, weaving between people, his blue eyes searching the windows of every store, something caught his attention. First, he caught two familiar scents: one was Isamu, and one was Kyla. Then, familiar voices: again, from Isamu and Kyla. His German Sheppard ears atop his head twitched at the sound, and his head spun around to see the two of them talking a few yards away. A smile appeared on his lips.

"Friends!" He thought to himself happily. Being the social person he was, Knives didn't like being alone often, especially in a crowded place like this, where everyone else had someone to be with. But then, another thought came to mind. "Maybe....maybe Isamu and Kyla can get together, and he won't be mad anymore!"

Knives smiled, and began walking over towards them. Of course, he expected Isamu to be angry; they hadn't spoken since that night....but now, as Isamu talked to Kyla, Knives felt as if (maybe, possibly) he was over it? He'd moved on? And so the dog boy approached the two of them cautiously, ears perked, looking just like a dog in a dangerous situation. But he kept his usual friendly smile on his face. "Hey there, you two!" He waved to both of them as he approached.

Re: Passing the torch (Kyla and Knives)
Isamu was about to go to the more femal populated section of the mall when a familiar (and loud) voice caught his attention. He smiled as she passed through the crowd to him.

"Isamu!! What are you doing wearing that uniform?"

There was a moment of awkward silence, then nervous laughter. He felt really embarrassed, sure it was fine when it a was a girl he really didn't know, but he knew Kyla. Thats what made it weird.

"Heya Kyla......I'm wearing it because...*sigh* I'm mall security."

Isamu felt as though she would laugh, it wasn't fair to him. To try and quickly get the subject changed from his job to anything else Isamu turned the conversation towards her.

"So why are you here?"

After a few moments into their conversation another familiar voice was heard, one that he hadn't seen since that incident. Isamu just brushed it off, as long as he didn't see the two together he would be fine.

"Hey there, you two!"

" 'Sup Knives, it seems like everyone decided to come to the mall today."

Re: Passing the torch (Kyla and Knives)
Kyla looked at Isamu and blinked, confused a bit. "You....mall security? You're joking right?" She asked, putting both her hands on her hips and leaning over to his eye level. "Mr. Speeding and no regard for the glorious law is mall security. If that isn't irony, I don’t know what is." She said laughing a bit 'and standing up straight. "But...I guess it's a good lesson for you since you don't have any love for the law. I hope you are learning a thing or two Isamu." She said as she moved her index finger back and forth as she spoke. Then, from out the corner of her eyes, she heard and spotted her newly acquired pet. "Keegan!" She smiled and gave him a hug, pushing him against her breast. "How's my big ol' puppy today!"

She yelled aloud, still referring to him as her pet and not as a person. She even called him Keegan, a name she gave to him before she even knew his real name. In fact, she still didn't know it. "I hope you've stayed out of trouble and all Keegan. If so, I might reward ya with a scratch behind the ears." She continued with a laugh, letting go of him and looked at Isamu. She glanced at them both as Isamu greeting Knives and blinked. "You two know each other?" She asked, smiling wider. "How cool his that!? Is Keegan your pet too? Did you name him Knives?" She continued to ask, still not realizing that his name was actually Knives.

Re: Passing the torch (Kyla and Knives)
" 'Sup Knives, it seems like everyone decided to come to the mall today."
Knives laughed at this comment, glancing over at Kyla before returning his eyes to Isamu. A smile crossed his lips; Isamu didn't seem mad at all. And as long as there was no tension between them, things would be just fine. Knives scratched his head, and shrugged, before responding to Isamu. "Yup! It sure looks like it, huh?" Again, he glanced at Kyla.

"Keegan! How's my big ol' puppy today!"
His first reaction was to look at Kyla, and blink. There was a confused expression on his face, complete with an open mouth and droopy ears. But then, he laughed. He'd completely forgotten that she'd 'named' him, and was a little thrown off when she used the name. But then, when she pulled him in for a hug, he laughed, closing his eyes and smiling. He didn't return the hug; no....for one thing, pets didn't do that, and he was happy being the "pet." But more importantly, he didn't want to hug a girl that wasn't Dango...especially in front of Isamu.

As soon as she let go, he backed away, and smiled at her, laughing again. One hand lifted up to scratch his head sheepishly. "Keegan, huh? I thought I told you my name was Knives...?" He shrugged. It didn't matter, really, he just thought it would be a bit odd to be called something other than his real name.

"I hope you've stayed out of trouble and all Keegan. If so, I might reward ya with a scratch behind the ears."
Again, he laughed, and then responded with an excited nod. "Of course I stayed outta trouble! I'm not a bad puppy!" He shrugged, and tilted his head to the side. The response was mainly to get a laugh out of both her and Isamu....but he also loved to get his ears scratched.
