Patch Recipes
By now most of you have heard VI has released a 1,000 new recipes with the last page. happy day for Tradeskillers! I was reading what Eqtraders Corner www.eqtraders.com/ had to say about the new recipes. Most of the reports so far are rather spotty but I read something about halfie tailors having scads more bags they can make now. One I read about was the Halfing haversack. 10 slot holds giant items. Not sure about the WR yet. But could be snazzy. And it uses dire wolf fur to make. Funny all the thousands of tufts of Dire Wolf Hair Ive destroyed and NOW theyre good for somethnig! In any case for any of you foragers that get dire wolf fur while your going through Velious save them up and Ill see what I can make =)
HAHAH man i have been wondering since i started this game what the hell those where good for i have had i swear 100's of these and distroyed them for no one had a good use for them.... i find this soo damn funny

In preparation for the many new items sure to be made from the new recipes, I went farming today for acrylia. Only 3 small pieces, and like 6 pieces of that useless other size.... it turns out, with the new patch? You can make blocks into large bricks, large bricks into small, all the way down to small pieces. I fizzled 2 large blocks and got nothing (wtf, 220 str and 179 smithing skill, and i had a 50% success rate on a recipe that trivials at like 36, but thats another rant) and now i have 9 small pieces instead of a mere 3. Cikki, if you still have those large blocks somewhere...

you know what? i have a heard a lot of people that have had a high failure rate on the trivial smithing steps. like making those cloaks, i've failed on the smithing part of it a lot, which doesn't make sense cuz i had like 137 smithing skill and self buffed my str to 250, but still it was fizzling. but i've heard from a lot of others that the acrylia smithing steps had a high fizzle rate for them too. much higher than the 5% that they say it's supposed to have.
anyway, i sold all those large blocks from a long time ago.
and don't farm for acrylia in tenebrous anymore unless you want to waste a lot of time, but they drop in ME now, so might as well get exp for it you know?

Int/Wis/Str will determine skillups, whichever is the highest (I can usually get myself to 255 str - str only matters for smithing, dex is fletching). Success on combines is determined by your skill in that tradeskill and nothing else.
Got one last night. I was originally going to trade some ore for blood and try again, but decided instead to trade all my ore and just ask the chick with the blood to try one for me (she was a 245 smith). She made 2 in a row... good deal. Edited by: Ouze Stinkeefeets at: 6/25/02 9:53:55 am

If you mean the troll smithing one? Very hard. I can make all the way to the worked weapon no prob, but final combine is >250 skill level, and would prob be a waste of a perfectly good blue diamond if I tried. If you wanred, I could make all the steps up to the worked weapon, and you could find a GM troll weaponsmith to do final combine (maybe Grongl would do it).
unless you want to waste a lot of time, but they drop in ME now, so might as well get exp for it you know?
