Peace and quiet for the loud and rambunxious (open)
Through countless aisles and stacks of books, a weaving maze of wooden shelving and comfortable seating, sat one young man. The look he had about him wasn't by any means common, and that was just the way he liked to keep it. Scanning from toes up, he wore a pair of leather Gucci shoes with shining, gold buckles; black, silky socks; a pair of soft, linen, khaki pants; a sleeveless, white dress shirt; a perfectly tied black bow tie, and a pair of translucent blue sunglasses masking his baby blue eyes. Atop his head was an array of multicolored spikes of hair, organized perfectly so that no single spike of one color sat beside one of the same. The young man here was Darrien Hessel.

Now, his appearance often yielded the assumption that he was a gruff, mischief maker sort that liked situations to be rowdy as can be. Under most circumstances, those were very correct assumptions. However, given his recent enrollment to a new school, Darrien had been trying to make the best impression he could, particularly with the female student body. The frayed seams atop his shoulders suggested this shirt wasn't always sleeveless, and the sculpted biceps protruding from his arms only enhanced that fact.

Held in the powerful hands that sat at the end of his powerful arms was a book on basic physics. No Hustler inside the binding to give the illusion he was an intelectual, he was reading seriously, almost completely absorbed in his work. To his left and right were two piles of books, presumably one full of books he had already read, and the other full of those awaiting his gaze. Books with titles like Propultian, Momentum, and the Mystery of Energy, Space Time Continuoum, and Infinity, more than just a number?.

Breaking his concentration momentarily, he reached for the bottle of water he had fought with the librarian so hard to get in here. After replacing the cap and wiping his mouth, he set the bottle back in front of him. Burying his nose back into the book at hand, he appeared to be searching for something in particular. Countless equations were scanned by his eyes, none seemed to be the ones he wanted. Not through lack of understanding, if asked what he was reading he could state simply that, in this instance, that momentum could only travel in one direction unless another force, greater than the first, caused it to change course.

When he flipped the page, his eyes opened wide. What he saw on page 114 seemed to be what he was looking for, and he quickly set to work memorizing it.

Viva la Coolie!
