Pre-ordering Freakcidents / Problems at DVP
Many readers and writers are voicing concern about DarkVesper Publishing's lack of communication and the fact that there have been no updates to the DVP website or messages to the DVP mailing list since 3/03.
The last I heard from the publisher, on 6/30/03, Freakcidents was at the printers. I have seen the advanced publication galleys and the finished cover proof, but not the final product. I am hopeful that DVP will meet their contractual obligations by October. But if DVP does not actually print this book, I am highly confident that another publisher will.
But just to be safe, I recommend that if you wish to preorder Freakcidents, you only use Shocklines online bookstore because they will not charge you at all until the book actually ships:

Thanks to all of you have indicated interest -- and have been very patient -- in regards to Freakcidents! I hope you'll find it worth the wait. But if you're impatient, I'll have two other poetry books coming out this fall, so check out gorelets.com if you're eager for something gruesome.
