Race at 1:1 Car Show at Canadian Tire on Fermor Aug 18th
A group of us will be setting up an on-road track to race during the 1:1 car show Sunday August 18th at the Canadian Tire on Fermor. Everyone is welcome and it's completly free. The actual car show is quite large and almost everyone is a car nut so what better place to show off our R/C's. Off-roads are more than welcome to race alongside the on-roads but if we have enough turn out we'll set-up some seperate races. Is there really a better place to promote the hobby than a parking lot full of restored cars and people who love them.
The track will be open but spaced out to avoid collisions. It should be fairly technical, though large so that slower cars don't lose out as much. This should make it possible to race as many cars side by side. We won't be timing anything or anything like that we're out there to have fun and get new people interested in racing.
Location: Canadian Tire on Fermor, North East corner of the parking lot. Time: Racing should start noonish but it's nothing serious, it'll go until everyone is tired of racing.
