for the lazy - it basically is Furor, Uber warrior and jackass extraordinaire, explaining why Monks make better MA's then warriors on what they like to call "the high end game".

Man, I feel for Verant. You gotta deal with high-end uber gamers like that who are basically playing a totally different game than the rest of us. Impossible to balance and no one will ever be happy.
Maybe Furor has some good points but I have to say he sounds a bit biased. And he's talking about a select few "top monks" in an uber guild and using their example as the basis for changes that would affect the entire 50+ population of players. And to me 4000hps vs 7000 hps is still a pretty damn big difference.
And after last night where somehow I got the job of tanking the named giants on Cikki's 8th shawl raid, I'm sure Gaeaan (the awesome cleric healing me) can attest to how well a non-uber monk can tank (the answer -- not well at all!).

I wondered about that... my group had 2 warriors and Gaereth, and the nameds were assigned to a group whose melee was a monk and a bard.... heh

Man looking back on Q's post...brings a tear to my eye. If only he were playing more often, it'd be easy to get a lot better gear. Lith has 2268hp unbuffed at lvl 57 now and that's very low imo.
Q. if you ever check out these forums...I miss ya and I'm sure a bunch of the rest of us do too =P
