Hi All. My name is Terry and I live in New Zealand. I have been turning for around 2 years now = prodominantly bowls but I am starting to get to grips with spindle.

Being in New Zealand our chose of timber is quite different so I tend to turn our native timbers such as Rimu and Kauri.

While these timbers are avaiable because of the laws regarding the felling now they are becoming harder to get and quite expensive

I am currently running a Teknatool 1500 which was designed and built here in NZ.

Welcome, Terry!

I'm really hoping that once we all get to know each other, we can do some trading of our local woods. What you guys may find common we would pay an arm and a leg for, and vice versa.
