Reliable way to handle RZtW pit adds?
Could someone share your method of handling adds during RZtW fight? We have had 1 success RZtW kill under our belt but our recent attempts were ruined by pit adds. On our success run we had full raid, but normally we have 60 in raid tops. Our latest attempt we got RZtW to 30% but all of our kiters died by then and we got swarmed by adds. We are mostly equipped with Ssrae, VT, & ornate gears. More people in raid for higher dps output'd be the simple solution but I am looking for a more reliable method to handle adds. We usually have a kite group made with bard, knights, and ranger/druid. Once RZtW is pulled to raid kiters'd start running circles in same direction. Since adds now run at bard speed, out running them with SoE isn't possible. Next time we'll probably have kite team wait outside until RZtW gets pulled, then have bard play longest duration run speed song before kite team zones back in to kite adds. Hopefully that will buy us additional minute or so to finish RZtW. If anyone has a reliable method of handling adds, I'd love to learn about it. Thanks.

Ok, I'm biased when it come to rangers kiting on RZtW. Before the DX9 change I used melee until the 2nd wave hit then kite. But since DX9 rangers can now blow there trueshot disc on RZtW.
As to the adds, your enchanters should most worried on keeping there pet under control (the do have pets correct?). But any class that can generate aggro and isnt high DPS should kite. My shaman normally keeps AE slow loaded and uses that to get aggro and kite.
I dont remember that the adds have bard speed though. Normally I was fine w/ SoE.

Kill him before he spawns a 4th wave and he's gimp.
Re: Reliable way to handle RZtW pit adds?
The faster you kill him, the less CC you have to do. Flat out, put your highest DPS people on RZ and the lowest DPS people on CC.
Everyone does that fight a little bit different. Mainly because every guild has different strong and weak points. Figure out what yours are, and then you will know what you need to do.

Our leet kiting strat:
Put a AFK Bard twinky at 5-stones singing Selos and have your 5 kiters group with him.
They click in 1 at a time (start at 99% just when MT starts building aggro, then another at 90%, then 80%, then 70%, then 60%). That way you are sure to have at least 2 kiters at selo speed at all times (selos last 3 minutes).
Make sure your kiters always kite in the same direction (clockwise or not) so they dont get accidentaly stunned. And keep the kiting well away the RZ fight so the raid dont get accidental aggro.
If some adds still aggroes raid, be ready with a charmer and sic pet on RZ.
If your DPS is low so the kill takes 5-6 minutes you will have an ungodly amount of adds in arena. Make plans on how to deal with them BEFORE you engage RZ. They will depop after 20 minutes but unfortenately the PP only stays up 10.
Re: Reliable way to handle RZtW pit adds?
My guild just entered the Elementals a few weeks ago to give a view of our gear / DPS.
Usually we field 3-5 enchanter with charmed melee ogres (do NOT charm oracles, they do awful dps) and 4-6 druids with boars. All pets are hasted and ogres have the usual pet gear and weapons.
The 1st wave of adds spawns about 50sec-1min after RZ ist first aggroed. Everyone in the raid (even kiters) is doing DPS in the first 45sec. RZ usually is at 25-30% before the very first wave even spawns. Sometimes we ignore the Adds completely and just burn him down then zone out and do loot.
Re: Reliable way to handle RZtW pit adds?
Add's hp is super low. If you've only spawned two waves by the time RZTW is dead, don't even bother zoning out. The remaining pets will be able to plow through them.

WHy bother Tling? If you can kill them all and feel uber like we did last tiem we killed him.

Diaku Warriors...
Make the "best" pets - they quad/dual and hit for 580ish without Avatar on them - bit more with it. They are the most MR tho, so make sure they get tash AND malo - snare is a good idea too.
Best tactic is to get them in position and hold them MEZZED/debuffed until it's showtime - then toss a quick charm, haste em and give em mage gear.
Then ya sick em on their boss - but make sure to dispell the haste AFTER the fight.

2 Boars spawn every wave.
In some incarnations of RZTW, killing the corpses causes less wraths to spawn. But not always.
Usually at full spawn it's 5 or 7 wraths per wave. Usually SoE is enough to outrun them. If you have chanters mez the spawned boars and/or root them. Plus have druids charm them. It cuts down on them killing your kiters.
