Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)
Vetro came up to the restaurant which was on the beach; the one his uncle owned. His uncle was just like his brother, Vetro’s dad. He had a muscle limit removal as well. His three daughters were just like Vetro’s sisters, art buffs. They also ran the small restaurant as a family-buisness. The view over the water was something that Vetro had only seen in his father’s picture books about his uncle. Vetro had met Ecen once and his cousins he had met twice each, Ashley, Samantha and Rachel.
Vetro’s father had called them when he heard that Vetro actually was thinking about having dinner with a girl, which he had heard from Vetro’s sister, Alessandra. His father also heard about the girl’s…appendages should he say. He told Vetro’s mother and she went ballistic, being a major artist and art buff. She wanted to meet Vetro’s ‘future wife’ right away. Vetro had hung up on her when she was ranting on about a wedding, which was completely not true. Vetro was still under the complete impression he wasn’t good enough for a beautiful girl like Amber, especially one so beautiful and unique and with the ability to think like Amber.
Vetro was planning on walking here with Amber, but when Ashley stopped by in a car and offered him a ride, Amber as well. She had already known about Vetro’s politeness and that he wouldn’t say no. Vetro had put the back seat of the Ford Excursion, the chair was still there, and the reason was to make room for Amber’s beautiful wings, another thing that just got Vetro to the conclusion that she was too far out of his league. The car had been cleaned in the passed hour or two; most likely when Antonio, Vetro’s father called Ecen.
The restaurant was completely empty. The only people there were Vetro’s uncle and cousins. The area was lit by candles; the sound of the waves could be heard from the ocean, which was no less than fifty feet away. The salty breeze air, swept over the small establishment. Vetro and Amber’s ride arrived, Vetro’s uncle opened the door for Amber, Vetro rolled his eyes; overkill mom, overkill dad, he thought. Vetro’s cousins all said nothing to Amber about her wings; they were intrigued but didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable. To them, she was family now, which only Vetro had 120% doubts about.
Vetro got out on the other side, still feeling uneasy and in no way like he could ever make Amber happy. He had changed to a white suit with a purple shirt. He was trying to remove any idea of a second date right there as his family embarrassed him. He walked around the car to Amber, his cousins and his uncle. Vetro smiled at Amber, his uncle motioned with his hand.
“Segualo alla vostra tabella.”
(Follow me to your table.)
Ecen walked towards the outdoor establishment which was covered in a bamboo-style look. The table they had was right in the middle with a beautiful view of the water. It was lit with just candles. Vetro walked alongside Amber almost trying to reach to hold her hand and once or twice thought about putting his around or near her. He was too scared, they never left his pockets. He tried to repress everything he felt so that he could think about what sort of philosophical thing that he could talk about to sound like he was smart enough to know, he didn’t know. When they were near the table, Vetro pulled Amber’s chair out for her, just out of his usual politeness.
The food was a combination of beach-like dishes and Vetro’s good old family Italian foods. There was a menu in front of Vetro as well as a wine list; Vetro was a wine drinker because of his Italian heritage. There was also a menu in front of Amber, with a white orchid on top, Vetro’s favorite flower. Ashley whispered to Amber it was from Vetro, which, like most of this experience wasn’t true and just helped embarrass him.
“I will give you two a few minutes.”
Ecen said and motioned for Ashley, Samantha, and Rachel to follow him, they went back into the kitchen. Vetro brought up his failing smile.
“I apologize for my family’s aptly odd behavior.”
Vetro said as he opened the wine menu. He was quiet, he didn’t know what to do.

Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)
There had been a lot of unexpected developments; what was to be a walk turned out to be a relative of Vetro's offering a ride, but it was still enough to make her heart leap. She had not expected to meet others so soon! Either way, Amber remained polite but found herself unable to strike a conversation; nervousness always manage to hinder that aspect of herself. All the while, she hoped that she would make a good impression with her silence either way.
Thankfully, questions about her wings were not raised; how would she even begin to explain them?
The restraunt was another unexpected event, more than she didn't expect it to have the ambience that it had. A little uncomfortable especially with the candles around. She did not know much of Vetro but maybe this is a good opportunity to find out. It was apparent that the poor thing was embaressed, she commended him for covering it well enough.
“I apologize for my family’s aptly odd behavior.”
"Ah, not a problem, Vetro..." Amber said with a gentle smile. Her eyes scanned over the wine list (ah, they had Zinfandel, it was the most she could drink) before moving on to the menus.
"They seem to be very nice. I just hope I acted accordingly...I had no idea what to say."
She glanced around, listening to the ocean breeze coming from just outside. Yes, her mom really would love it here...
"Such a lovely restaraunt too...I never knew there was a place like this here."
Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)"Ah, not a problem, Vetro..."
Vetro looked up with his 'totally screwing everything up smile', come to think about it; Amber was the first girl who didn't ask about Vetro's earrings. His thought was that she noticed when he had made the diamond figurines. Amber was looking at the wine list, his uncle Ecen would give her anything she wanted; once again Vetro had nothing to do with. His family was overjoyed at the thought of Vetro even talking to girls, so this was a new thing for them.
"They seem to be very nice. I just hope I acted accordingly...I had no idea what to say."
Vetro's failing smile was still there, he wasn't sure but he guessed Amber could see through it. He lifted the menu slightly, doing nothing to block Amber's view of himself, and he wasn't impeeding his own view of her either. Vetro's 'she's far to good for me' theory was staring to get to him. For the first time in his life, he was completely inadequit, a failure. He decided right then, he would never like anyone again because of how screwed up it was making him.
"Do not burden yourself, my family are all art buffs, they are all in awwee of yourself. These four happen to be my uncle and cousins, my immeadiate family is in Italia."
Vetro smiled his failing smile once again, this time it was more sorrowful, almost like he was going about everything wrong. He had never felt attraction to really anyone, so this feeling was something completely new to him. He wanted it to stop, his lack of self-confidence was ruining him. It was bad, he was being torn apart by the emotion known as 'attraction'.
"Such a lovely restaraunt too...I never knew there was a place like this here."
Vetro's eyes wandered over Amber, for the first time in a way that wasn't of a friend or a fellow thinker. It was pretty clear too, Vetro was actually looking with physical attraction, something he had never done before.
"It's my uncle's place. He built it when he came here, my cousins are like my sisters, art buffs and guy freaks. My sisters and them usually exchange emails once a week. My entire family is a little tight-nit. So, everyone at home sort of knows about this as well. I've never really gone anywhere alone with anyone before, so my family went overboard. I apologize."
Vetro was no longer speaking in his normal tone, he actually sounded human; not a mind-drone who was just polite and thinking. This was Vetro's real side, the one passed the scenarios he created, passed the politeness. This was the Vetro that hid. When Vetro realized his transformation, his smile went back up and he re-assumed his masks.
"So, miss Amber, may I enquire as to what you think you will have for dinner tonight?"
Vetro said in his usual tone, if anyone could bring the real Vetro out; or even seen him, it was Amber. Vetro was frightened, he had never showed that to anyone, even his parents.

Amber felt some relief by his words; they were art buffs. She had come into contact with some of the eccentric types (and how they loved to try and touch her wings), so it seemed to make perfect sense. Knowing what she was going to have, the half-angel set her menu down and faced Vetro, tilting her head in a curious manner. Though he was smiling, something about his expression...was he all right? She was evaluating him carefully, ever since their talk about humanity in the Garden. It was a habit and Vetro was an interesting person after all...and the earrings? Questions would arise soon.
"Eh? No need to apologize at all..." She said it with confidence despite the fact that Vetro said it was already known about this. Hopefully, none of his family would be affected by her. It was bad enough she was cursed...no, she forced herself not to think about that now. She smiled at him, though this one was one of deep, buried sadness.
"It's a blessing, I mean to have such a close-knit family. I know so little about my mom's side of the family and dad...well, it's apparent." Her wings flapped lightly in their acknowledgement.
"So, miss Amber, may I enquire as to what you think you will have for dinner tonight?"
There was that shift again, Amber noticed and made a mental note of it. Humans had their ways, even the most intriguing ones. And just like that, she would become her cheerful self again, as if a fond memory had crossed her mind.
"You know...I have not had gnocci in the longest time. And a glass of zinfandel would compliment it."
Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)"You know...I have not had gnocchi in the longest time. And a glass of zinfandel would compliment it."
Vetro smiled some more. A slight noise began to wash over his head; it was quiet, he didn’t know what to do if it were to grow. He smiled as if nothing was wrong. He thought about what to eat. He decided on an angel hair pasta; which a pesto-alfredo sauce. He didn’t know if eating meat or something would make Amber mad. He finished looking at the wines; Tobin James 1992. His cousin Sam walked out with a tray and a pad of paper.
“What can I get you two?”
Samantha was a lot more relaxed than Ecen or any of her sisters. She was tall, about 6’, she had hair like Vetro’s just longer; people called them the opposite twins. She, besides Alessandra was one of the only two that didn’t think Vetro was weird. She had probably convinced the other three to not bug Vetro and Amber; most likely by claiming he was romantically incompetent.
“Go ahead Miss Amber.”
Vetro waited for her to order, the sound grew, and he recognized it now. He put up his hand and rubbed his temples.
“Vetro?”
He heard from Samantha, he looked at her, focusing was becoming a problem. He looked at Amber; the world was becoming blurry…
“Yea, I’ll have-“
He fell off the chair onto the ground; blood trickled from his nose, the noise. It was killing him; this was the drawback to his abilities. The diamonds were controllable by his mind, but it was cracking his mind slowly. Especially when the diamonds were broken when he was controlling them, it would hurt him later more than it would do at the time.
“The noise, please stop it.”
Vetro said as he was on the ground curled into a ball. It was terrible. Vetro was focused on the noise, but subconsciously he was able to know that he had just fully ruined his entire night. Vetro’s extended family came out; they had only heard of this from Vetro’s parents, they were skeptical, until now. The rest of them never got hurt by their powers.

Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)“What can I get you two?”
Amber glanced up at the waitress with a smile; she looked much like Vetro had he been born female, or at least that's how she figured it. Vetro allowed her to order first and she nodded at him.
"Ah, gnocci and a glass of Zinfandel please-"
A simultaneous occurance: the pendulum on her wrist reacted with cold pulse, Amber had looked up at Vetro just as Samantha the waitress had brought her attention to him. He was rubbing his temples (a headache) and then before she knew it he had fallen out of his chair, bleeding from his nose. The half-angel froze in her chair. What in the world had just happened? What noise was he talking about?
Without realizing it, she had risen from her chair and found herself by his side. Her heart pounded against her chest, what could she do to help him.
"Vetro, what's wrong?" She asked, her voice worried her hand pressing against his forehead. "What noise?"
And then there was that growing feeling in the pit of her stomach and a twinge in the back of her mind. This was already looking to be an eventful night.
Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)
Ecen looked at Vetro; his brother had mentioned this before, but it was thought to be sarcastic because Vetro had a more practical power than the rest of the family. Samantha, Ashley, and Rachel were shrieking. Vetro rolled and pushed himself sideways.
“Stop it, stop it noise!”
Vetro was saying, it was a howling, something so harmful he couldn’t do anything about it. It began to subside, Vetro tried to push himself up, he put his hand to his mouth, which was already bloody. He coughed into his hand, blood trickled though. After three coughs, the blood stopped coming from his nose and mouth. This is what he never wanted to show to people. He got up, he was covered in blood.
“Anyone got a change of clothes that I could borrow.”
He didn’t know what to say besides that. He took off his suit jacket, he wiped his face off, and it was destroyed. He went towards the kitchen; he didn’t look at Amber, not because he didn’t want to, because he didn’t want her to look at him. He was too scared to say anything to her. His eyes didn’t lie though when he looked at her when he got up. He was going in the kitchen to look through his uncle’s stuff.
He wondered if Amber would follow him; he had screwed up. Very, very badly. Even if it was his powers that gave him the attack, it wasn’t something he wished anyone to see; especially Amber. He heard his family talking about something, he walked into the open employee restroom, not shutting the door, he turned on the water and began trying to clean up, and he took his shirt off. He looked around, he decided to walk outside and grab a shirt from his uncle’s stuff. He didn’t bother looking around. He put on a Tommy Bahama shirt

Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)
Amber had followed him, but not immediately. As soon as it had begun, Vetro broke from his sudden seizure and left without looking at her. Meanwhile Amber was frozen on the floor, collecting her wits. There had been that slight wave of nausea that came with that feeling and soon that was gone. It could be a problem, but a problem that wasn't too far away and almost always striking when Amber tried to enjoy her time with company.
The half-angel looked up at the relatives with a worried expression before she found herself standing up and following after Vetro. And that's where she now was, standing at the open doorway of the employee bathroom with her hands clasped in front of her. Her arrival was almost silent, except when she spoke in that gentle voice:
"Vetro? Are you all right now? That gave me a bit of a scare..."
Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)
The faucet shut off, a crimsom color starch stopped running off his body. Vetro grabbed the shirt and unbuttoned it, at least his suit pants weren't destroyed. The shirt flew over his left arm, he grabbed his temples again. His head was washing back to normal. When he could think clearly, there was a sound of silence behind him. He put his right arm through his Tommy Bahama shirt. He pulled it together and buttoned up two of the buttons in the middle. He put his left hand in his pocket. Vetro slowly turned around, Amber was standing behind him. When did she?
"Vetro? Are you all right now? That gave me a bit of a scare..."
Vetro heard from her low gentle voice, he smiled again; a compete lie, he wasn't fine. His shirt wasn't competely buttoned. It was for the breeze he wanted a feeling I was alive. He didn't feel that way.
"I appologize miss Amber, that was the drawback to my powers. I would ask you to take a walk on the beach with me, but I don't want you to stay out of pitty. There is no reason for you to stay now, unless you would like to walk on the beach."
Vetro said while looking directly into her eyes. No lies, he wouldn't tell her any. The breeze caught his new shirt which flapped. He was scared; Amber had been there this long because of Vetro's mind. He wanted her to be happy, and he couldn't do that for anybody.
"I'm sorry..."
He said in a descending tone, he walked towards the beach. He smiled to his extended family, who were still in shock
"I'm fine."
He passed them and headed to the beach, he overlooked the ocean, the waves crashed, what a good place to be. Vetro wished he had died and at least his last image would have been an angel while he was alive. He looked back to Amber

Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)
He had apologized again, after he had explained it was a drawback to his powers. Staying with him out of pity? Why would she do such a thing? Even the most intelligent human has their insecurities and Vetro reinforced that notion. Again, she watched him walk away-
Why is he so hard on himself?
-before she followed after him. It wasn't out of pity that she followed him more than it was sympathy. Pity, love, anger...those kind of emotions suddenly went dormant when her wings grew out and little by little she had to unearth them. Amber stopped to bow her head at the extended family (how odd she must seem to them) before following Vetro out to the beach.
How lovely the moonlight had looked, casting ephemeral light over the crashing waves, how light and shadow gave an almost romantic ambiance to the beach, how the moon's light gave her wings a heavenly aura. Amber had never been to the beach at night so the experience was delightful, despite Vetro's sudden seizure.
"You shouldn't be so hard on yourself," Amber said to Vetro, looking out to the ocean. "Things happen, especially when it concerns who we are. You didn't have to apologize for it."
She glanced over at him, remembering the earrings.
"You said it was the drawback to your power...the earrings, ne? I never seen someone have that sort of power."
Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)"You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Things happen, especially when it concerns who we are. You didn't have to apologize for it."
Who he was? Vetro wouldn't be suprised if he didn't exist, he was himself, or he thought he was. Vetro is Vetro; Amber was Amber, that's why nothing ever suprised him; he never looked at the outsides of things. Vetro thought about it; he never did care about what others though, why now? What was so different about now?
"Breeze feels nice.."
Vetro still couldn't look directly at Amber, yet. He was too ashamed, that was supposed to have been his problem, not hers, not anyone elses. Vetro was also ignoring her comment, more just not answering, why he was so hard or why he always apologized for everything. He looked towards the sea, he wanted to go sailing. No idea why, it just hit him. Vetro decided he would go buy a book and learn to do it later. His mind was wandering again. It didn't matter to him.
"You said it was the drawback to your power...the earrings, ne? I never seen someone have that sort of power."
Vetro didn't look at Amber yet, the earings's diamonds came out of the holding zone and flew to Amber, the flattened out in front of her and then went back into the shape of a diamond. He didn't look.
"Go ahead and grab them, diamonds are the strongest substance known to earth. I can change the molecular bonds to them, but they shatter under stress because they aren't fully diamonds; they have other molecules as well. When they shatter, and my mind is linked to them, it has long-term effects. I've had two strokes and about thirty seizures from the power. For me to not do that, the diamonds would have to be perfect, there's only a few of those in the world."
Vetro told her, he let her do whatever she wanted to the diamonds, she could even shatter one if she wanted, Vetro's mind would just take more damage; but, he didn't care much until the long-term part kicked in. He finally turned to look at her, her wings were glistening; almost as if she was an angel, Vetro never thought of her as an angel; Amber was Amber. No other statement was required. He gave her that fake, losing smile he always did. If Amber were to remember, Vetro had barely ever mentioned her appendages, he didn't want to, Amber was Amber. Vetro kicked off his shoes and began walking towards the water. He dipped his feet in, it was cold but he made no sign to show it.
"Come on, I didn't take you to the beach so your could stand there looking like a goddess."

Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)
Vetro still refused to look at her, but at least he was talking to her. It still was beyond Amber's understanding of why he was so harsh on himself. They had powers, and powers have drawbacks that varied in severity; and yet he was so sure that something was wrong he must apologize for it. Vetro didn't acknowledge it either and so Amber would drop it.
Meanwhile, the diamonds few to her and reshaped itself, suspended in front of her. She stared at them, a rare glimmer of delight in her dark eyes.
But Amber couldn't simply grab them if it meant they would it would harm him, even if he had that many seizures and strokes. It wasn't in her heart to hurt someone who didn't deserve it.
Instead, Amber cupped her hands just beneath the diamonds, cupping her pendulum along with it and allowing the diamonds to suspend in the air. She closed her eyes and envisioned a circular path around her, a bond of energy invisible to the naked human eye surrounding her. Finally, upon opening her eyes, she dropped them. Instead of falling and shattering, they suspended in the air and circled around her: she created an orbit and for the fun of it! This was when he would finally look at her, seeing the rare moment of play.
"Come on, I didn't take you to the beach so your could stand there looking like a goddess."
The comment grabbed Amber's attention. Even the orbit wobbled (yet the diamonds stayed suspended) and she blushed as any girl would; had he known what she was really like, the true nature that burned deep inside of her...would he still say such a thing?
Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)"No-no, I'm nothing like that at all..."
Vetro saw the diamond formations which he usually controlled, which he had relinquished to Amber, fly off track of her orbital control of them. For the first time in his life, Vetro was suprised, not a fake, a legitamite suprise. He cocked an eyebrow, was her entire personality a mask? Was she really what she had made herself out to be?
"You're you, that's it."
Vetro asumed minor control of the diamond, it transformed into a fully diamond ring. He put it on Amber's thumb and once again relinquished control of the diamond. He didn't smile, he turned back to the sea and looked out over the horizon.
"Come on."
Vetro called the diamond that was still orbiting Amber to him, he turned it into a knife and slashed at his legs, cutting off the bottom of the suit, he walked further into the water, the diamond went back to Amber.

Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)"You're you, that's it."
That calmed Amber down, a good answer and a vague one that can be interpreted in any way possible. Those always have been the best ones, she figured.
"If I was a goddess...then I wouldn't have to the need to atonement."
She only stared at the little diamond ring on her thumb before he would control it again. It still returned to her though, as if it had a mind of its own. If it didn't want to go to him, then she would just accompany it.
"Existing...if we were not to exist, then all this...isn't real. That strikes me as a little sad, always had."
Amber slipped out of the mary jane heels, and then was careful in taking off the over-knee stockings, rolling them neatly to fit in her shoes. The orbiting diamond would give her some light as it circled around her, no problem. Small steps into the water, which was much colder than she had anticipated but still not as bad as the waterfalls she encountered in her training. Even though he may not like to look at her, she would look at him, trying to catch his gaze to properly convery what she was saying.
"I like the beings, the people that I met in this existance..."
Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)"Existing...if we were not to exist, then all this...isn't real. That strikes me as a little sad, always had."
Vetro heard the slatter of water from feet a bit behind him, and eventually next to him, he kept looking out towards the horizon. He didn't know what was going on anymore. His mind was looping and twisting and turning. Vetro wanted a question that could question what he was thinking about, it wasn't comming to him. He eventually looked to Amber wondering what he was going to do.
"I like the beings, the people that I met in this existance..."
Vetro smiled again. He didn't understand things like that, it wasn't too odvious though. He shrugged and looked back out to the horizon. The thought about sailing ran by him again, reminding him to pick up a book.
"I like the people that exist inside my reality."
Vetro said. He didn't know what he was thinking besides twists, he couldn't be logical or philosophical without a question. He had his smile on again. A soft breeze passed by.

Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)
"Reality is simply perception of one's own space, cultural constructs, values and experience. Question is..."
Amber closed her eyes, her hand waved over his head as she spoke. It wasn't clear what she was doing, until she caught the orbiting diamond in her hand and then suspended it over Vetro's head. The diamond now orbited around his head on an invisible halo; though the winged girl's question was serious, it seemed she was having much fun.
"...is it really your reality? Are you and I existing in each other's reality or are we in someone else's entirely?"
A pause and she would give her own answer: "I'd prefer the former...the thought of being someone else's reality irks me. It feels too constricting."
She implied someone else, but she knew what she was truly referring to. Being a product of God's twisted "reality" was enough of a headache for her, enough of a dilemma for her as it was. She kept those thoughts to herself and looked at Vetro with that warm smile, interested in what he had to say.
Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)"Reality is simply perception of one's own space, cultural constructs, values and experience. Question is..."
Vetro was looking at Amber, she began acting odd and waving her hand over him. He wondered what was going on until his diamond began to act as a halo, the one on her thumb was still there. He looked up trying to catch a glimpse of what he looked like.
"...is it really your reality? Are you and I existing in each other's reality or are we in someone else's entirely?"
Vetro didn't answer her, not that he didn't want to so much as it wasn't appropiate or fair to her. He now knew one of the possiblities that haunted the back of Amber's mind.
"I'd prefer the former...the thought of being someone else's reality irks me. It feels too constricting."
Vetro sighed, he was right. Amber was haunted by some form of constriction from something on a plane than earth.
"Amber, my perception of reality is something far different than being consticted by others. I don't care if I dont exist, I don't mind if someone else already knows the outcome of this entire existance. It's like time-travel, if you go into the future, and it exists, then it was already written. If it was already written, then we have no control over our lives."
Vetro said to her. His version of reality was not at all twisted or skewed, which is why he was able to think about these things. He smiled back to Amber.
"Everything you do is a choice, if you make the choice then it is your decision. Even if someone else controls this world, you believe you have free will."

Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)
Amber was listening, thinking as she twisted the diamond around her thumb. She wasn't taking it off more than having her hands actually do something while she had thoughts of her own.
You don't care that you exist? That seems so sad...
But she didn't verbally say so, it was his own perceptions of existance. Vetro was Vetro, just as she was herself. The winged girl paused, taking his last words to heart. Her wings flapped once or twice as they tnd to do when inactive for a while.
"I want to believe that. Free will even with the possibility the future is set in stone..."
She had been taken in by that notion for so long, and yet there were forces beyond her that were suggesting otherwise. It bothered her; which was it? Existance was a continuum, not absolute. She knew better than to turn to religion as so many humans would; that proved to be misleading and more confusing than it had to be. It gave their mortal souls comfort...but not her.
"I want to continue believing that, even if-"
Speaking of discomfort, Amber could feel it again. A heavy sensation in her wings, her the pit of her stomach, her entire body felt it. She had felt it inside the restraunt during and after Vetro's seizure attack, but this time it was much more pronounced. Her body wobbled as if she would collapse at any moment.

Vetro heard from Amber after her wings had flapped a bit. He retained his losing smile which he thought Amber had noticed by now. She most likely could see right through it now. He didn't mind.
"I want to continue believing that, even if-"
Vetro heard Amber studder, he was looking out again.
"-if what?"
Amber began a slight wobble, Vetro look at her. His face changed to a serious look. Was she-Amber began to stumble. What was, she began a bit more. Vetro unlocked his muscle limitations.
"Ah...it...I don't feel well..."
That confirmed it. Vetro ran behind her and grabbed her slightly by her arms, holding her in place gently. He was freaking out. He backed her up slowly out of the water just incase she fell even with Vetro holding her.
"Amber, Amber-come on. Are you ok?! Amber, come on-what do you need me to do to help you? Do you need to lie down?"

Vetro had kept her from collapsing into the water, thank goodness. The last thing she would want was to fall into horrendously cold water. There was a pressure in her head now and the multitude of sounds, natural and not so was irritating it more. The pendulum clasped on her wrist was burning hot against her skin and pulsing with a gray light.
"Vetro, it's bad...they might've..." She wanted to glance at him. She had to let him know that feeling. Of course it was bad, it was always an omen of what was coming.
"Let's go back to the-"
Again Amber stops in mid-sentence, staring straight ahead. Supposedly, there had been no others along the beach, lone footprints belonged to her and Vetro. But there was another, seated comfortably on top of the roof of the restraunt. The gender due was hard to tell because of the robes it wore but it was definetly watching the two of them.
She wasn't sure if Vetro could see it, but the wings were made of light, as if lifted from the very moon that shone upon the city. Amber froze in place despite how light-headed she was feeling, grasping his arm to keep her from falling over. A human who would see an angel would be overjoyed, but to Amber...
"It's...one of them..." she whispered to Vetro. And the one day she decided not to bring her sword along.
Surprisingly enough, the angel stayed in place staring at the two of them. One could only wonder what it was the being was pondering.
Re: Renting a Restaurant for an Angel (Amber)"Vetro, it's bad...they might've..."
Vetro pulled a small box out of his pocket, he turned it upside down, diamonds exited and began moving. There were eight, nine after his 'halo' turned and began moving around them.
"Who's they?"
He asked Amber, he left the diamond ring on her finger, he turned the other diamonds around the two of them. He let her go for an instant and looked around.
"Let's go back to the-"
Amber was looking towards the resturaunt, Vetro's eyes attempted to fall upon what she was looking at. His hands went into his pockets, the diamond formulations began swirling around in front of just Amber. Vetro's affirmations about Amber were all made true when she spoke the next words.
"It's...one of them..."
Vetro took a step towards the figure, his hands disappeared into his pockets and he looked up and smiled. He had no protection to himself, it was all on Amber now.
"Pardon me Sir or Ma'dam; might I inquire as to who you are?"
Vetro said and then quickly looking back and mouthing a word to Amber, he didn't want to tell her what he thought she was until now, his lips read...
"Nephilim"
Vetro looked back toward the figure, he cocked an eyebrow towards it. His hands were in his pockets, he showed no sign of frustration.
