We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

Resonance.
Not good, not better and yet not so bad. Amber haven't had a recurring thought about it since then, so maybe it was silently lulled to sleep by her subconcious desire to find peace. Or maybe it went into remission, just as her nightmares have been: not gone completely but not present either. It was a breif respite and this was why she was on the roof right now, enjoying it as much as she could.
These days, a smile would cross her face. Whenever she would enjoy an afternoon of tea with her golden-haired friend V or passing by Knives or Nyoko on campus. It took a few days to smile once in a while. Worth the wait maybe.
Her sword, the constant companion, rested just behind her while she took her spot on the edge of the roof. Her legs would dangle off the side (dangerous yet no fear there), short whispers of the wind ruffled her hair, her feathers and the ruffles on her dress. Her dark eyes would watch them all, wondering maybe if they shared similar thoughts of existance and wonder...maybe.
The voice came from the stair entrance, where Dango stood. She spotted the familiar angel, and a faint smile came to her lips.
"I wasn't expecting you to be here. Maybe your here for the same reason I am"
Amber had been the only female Dango really was polite to from the start. The little run in at the mall made Dango wonder if Amber was truly safe from the wars of hell quite yet.
"No strange gothic boys chasing you down I hope, why are you here alone? It isn't safe"
Walking across the rooftop, the wind managed to pick up. Was it a warning? Dango wasn't really sure. Amber was one of the most magical beings Dango had ever met in her life, and strangely, Dango felt protective of Amber most of all.
"I hope you don't mind. Really, I'm just glad your not of the male gender. I'm been trying to avoid that side of humanity right now without much luck."
Dango sat beside Amber, her own feet dangling over the edge as she looked down towards the campus grounds below.
"Why are you here Amber? Is something bothering you?"

Amber didn't have to look over her shoulder to know who it was speaking to her. It had been a while since she had seen Dango, but she knew who she was...for the most part. She didn't mind her, the girl was kind enough to keep away the fallen one at the mall but still, she couldn't help but to think...
If she can see through you...and see what you have done...would she judge you?
"I...was bothered. By something that occured recently."
The words were spilling out, but Amber was mindful of the few words that would not slip. She couldn't let her know what she had done, not Dango. Would she have heard of it? There were news reports the few days after the burning of the church, ashes of what had once been bodies found. The fire was the Godsend, burning away the evidence. The children were found and there was much joy in the violence, but still...
Amber shook her head, trying hard not to think about it anymore. The memories would go into remission again, for a long time she hoped.
"And yet I don't remember it at all. Is that so strange, Dango?"

Dango paused for the moment, uncomfortably shifting her position to cross her legs.
"I...was bothered. By something that occured recently."
"I didn't hear anything, I decided to leave for awhile. Alot of things were bothering me. But Amber, you know that whatever happened, I will not judge you. You can talk to me, you know."
"And yet I don't remember it at all. Is that so strange, Dango?"
"Maybe its because you would rather forget. The war, it's started, hasn't it?"
Suddenly Dango's problems didn't seem so big anymore.
"People are going to be forced to choose a side. Tell me, Amber, is the darkness - really that bad?"

The war. Another thing she couldn't bear to think about right now; she knew it but she tried not to think about it. She had not taken a side and she didn't intend to at all. There was no consequence, it wouldn't matter what side she chose if her fate was meant to be the same, if it was what her dreams told her. The winged girl stared out in the distance.
"I did...something. I don't remember why-"
Bold-faced lie; she knew but chose not to say. It was selfish and selfless at the same time.
"-but I'm not proud of it. I may have helped others but it was still wrong. It still hurt and I feel like it's becoming worse. That darkness..."
Now she looked at her with the pretty but midnight eyes.
"I suppose it's quite bad...like being in the shadow of something far bigger than-"
Then it caught her attention!

Dango merely sat there, not really knowing what to say. Amber was different than her, Amber was not within reach - not for Dango, at least.

Dango stopped. It was no use keeping it from Amber anyway, she would find out eventually.
"I might become a part of that war, thanks to heaven and hell"
Dango sighed, glancing at Amber and knowing she would have to explain.
"You knew something wasn't right about me, that I'm hiding something. Its because I am. I was sent here by an agency that feels threatened by this school. They wanted me to gather information, for now, but lately I'm beginning to think there is something more to me being here than just to gather information. Especially since I believe, they are sending the brothers after me - - "
The next question? Dango already knew what it would be.
"The brothers, heaven and hell. Or rather, Helix and Lix. They are coming for me, and have a feeling something is going to happen very soon. Their father was a demon, their mother was a good witch. It was terrible what happened to their parents, but none of it makes sense. The agency raised them from a young age, both have unique powers and an unique purpose. But I can't help but feeling the agency is more involved than I orginally anticipated."

Karrody has been quietly observing Amber the past few days. Not being readily noticeable, as he is apt to do. He stands on teh roof both unseen and unheard as he listens to the two girls talk. This girl that is speaking to Amber. He has only seen little of her. But he has been able to learn quite a bit about her. Some of what he has learned has been thankful to the help of one girl that wasn't even aware that she was being helpful. Though not entirely to the degree he would like. But it has allowed him to understand the usefullness of Kanami.
Even still, Karrody doesn't interrupt. His Vampiric abilities allowing his subterfuge to remain complete, Karrody doesn nothing as he stands patiently listening to the two unaware girls.

There was only silence from the half angel, and her gaze remained expressionless. Not the same as what was crossing her mind: Dango was involved, much more involved than she had appeared to be. The girl's mind still didn't register the "agency", it was a lot more for her to take in. And that nice boy, Datu...who the hell else was involved in the mess? Though her face didn't show it, Amber was frightened as all hell.
Was it...my fault? For coming here? For existing here? I prayed no one would be drawn into this...and yet. And this Agency, are they meant to help or harm? How deep is the rabbit hole...
"I was hoping...you wouldn't have to be involved. No one..."
Her words were soft and mournful. The more she dwelled on the frantic thoughts, the more her wings drooped to match her mood. There had been so much she had to think about, or forced to think about that it seemed they only existed to drown her.
Don't feel this way...if it was eventual...
She clasped her hands on her lap, as if she feared she would fall apart because of her overloading thoughts.
"I don't want to choose a side, Dango."
She said this softly. An admission, the only other person apart from maybe V who would know what she was feeling. She couldn't stop herself from speaking now, no matter how hard she tried to keep her mouth shut.
"Because I know what will happen, no matter who I side with."
And then Amber would physically feel part of the burden lifting, a wonderful feeling but one that she couldn't really smile about just yet. Instead, the direction of the conversation changed quickly and her voice tried to regain the calmness that it had before:
"So it seems...there are more people burdened by this than I thought. Not just the ones that exist in the shade of grey, but others. What's going to happen then?"

"Its better then being ignorant, to live everyday with the wool pulled over my eyes. They say ignorance is bliss, and I would rather have my eyes open."
It was true, that Dango wasn't prepared for all that she knew. People who had powers constantly wished they were normal, people who were normal constantly wished they had powers. Dango didn't have any powers, but she certainly wasn't normal.
"I don't want to choose a side, Dango."
Dango glanced at Amber, and realized that Amber could go either way. So could any of them.
"You can't be both Amber, life doesn't work like that. Someone with your power, and your influence. We are always told to do good, to be good. Quick satisification means turning evil, you want the easy way, you go evil. You can spend your whole life fighting for the side of good and never reap the rewards until you are dead. Yet being good means killing or destroying evil, so how does that make the good side any better than the evil side? Save one, or save many? In the end, everyone is only out for their own gain and there is nothing wrong with that. But not choosing isn't fair to either side."
"Because I know what will happen, no matter who I side with."
"Plain and simple, life stinks."
"So it seems...there are more people burdened by this than I thought. Not just the ones that exist in the shade of grey, but others. What's going to happen then?"
Dango took in a deep breath, exhaled, and took another deep breath again. She finally stood up and looked towards the sky with a sigh escaping her lips.
"Nobody knows. Whatever choice you make Amber, make it for yourself. "

Her fate depended on who she sided with, and neither side bode well for her. She had nightmares about both sides, what they would do to her. It was bad enough they were willing to kill her if it meant that it would abolish the chance of either side to gain her as their trump card.
Is that all there is?
Amber turned away from Dango; the idea of having to choose a side, and needing to choose a side irked her. She would suffer either way, the people who knew of her would suffer either way. She was trapped in a corner with only two doors that would lead her out. That's why she envied the humans, they had a chance for salvation, to find that peace. The winged girl played with the crystal pendulum in her hands.
"If it's that way...I'm never meant to find peace or happiness." Amber said gently, it sounded like both a question and a statement.
I'd rather waste away! I'd rather not exist at all than choose a side that promises me nothing but lonliness and misery! You'll never understand! At least the Creator has infinite f*cking love for you humans!
It came in the form of a headache and Amber's hands flew to her temples, anything to keep herself from screaming at Dango. A surge of darkness that had been buried roared only in her thoughts; a promising outlook on herself. Amber was still Amber, still able to keep that dark thought to herself. Dango couldn't understand but at least she was trying to help her out. In her assurance, the headache vanished.

Listening to the conversation with an interest as tehy talk about things Karrody has heard about though from others affected in such a different way, he puts everything together from what they are saying, and from what he knows.
Just as he wasn't there. Foot steps could be heard as though they were always there and should have been audible in the first place, and the creator of said footsteps can be seen approaching the two girls from the middle of the roof. Nowhere near the wall, nor the door.
"So Amber. Perhaps you can do what many that have neither side to accept them will do when it is necessarry to make a decidision." Karrody offers as he is now close to the two girls. Not explaining what he means, just simply waiting for a comment if, as one of the girls might know what he speaks of.

Then it happened, as if some other force was taking Amber over. Her face, her expression, the surging pain she was trying to hold back. Dango reached for her, knowing that she couldn't possibly make it go away, but she reached for her nonetheless.
"Amber are you - - "
"So Amber. Perhaps you can do what many that have neither side to accept them will do when it is necessarry to make a decidision."
Dango's eyes narrowed at the newcomer. How long had he been there, listening to their conversation? Worse of, the guy talked in riddles. What was next? The gothic boy's return as well?
"Who asked you? I don't recall you being an orginal part of this conversation, don't you know its rude to eavesdrop?"

Before Amber had a chance to reply, The other girl, Dango spoke to him. He looks at her only momentarily to speak. "I don't remember having spoken to you." Is all Karrody says in reply to the girls question. His voice thick with his French accent, but the tone of what Dango had said, returned in kind to her.
After his few words to Dango, he looks back to Amber, seemingly ignoring the girl. "There is always another path. You should know that better then I."

The half angel would give him a half-hearted smile. Amber remembered being told not to be surprised whenever he appeared, however there were still times when she found herself to be even slightly surprised when Karrody did appear the way he did. She also shouldn't have been so surprised to see that Dango was on the defensive.
"Who asked you? I don't recall you being an orginal part of this conversation, don't you know its rude to eavesdrop?"
"Ah, he-"
"I don't remember having spoken to you."
And not a chance to respond on her part but it gave her some time to think. Karrody would speak to her again, ignoring Dango this time. Was there another path? She had been so sure for the longest time, but little by little, it began to become apparent to her that the other path was dissapating, crumbling with every word from two forces whispering in her ear.
"If there is another path to take...I want to make sure that it's not an illusion."

As Amber thinks for a few seconds about what Karrody had spoken just moments before, he remains the way he is. Not having any anger towards the girl, just aswell though, he doesn't show her any special kind of respect.
He obviously doesn't care what others think about his actions. He only cares about what he thinks about his actions, and how others actions affect him. Pompous bastard some call him. He seems to fit it quite well at times, though others don't see exactly the way he acts. Sometimes ones well being can be benificial to him, but others don't see how, or even why. That would be one of the things that Karrody just accepts. If someone can't see why he does what he does, then that would be there loss, not his.
"That would be a good point to make." Karrody agrees to Ambers desire. "It is simple enough though. If you were to die, right now. Where would you go?" Well, maybe some insight will be seen into the way Karrody acts. He might be offering an explanation of something. Something that would take a personal veiw atleast.

She wondered that to herself sometimes, though she may have been confused by the context of Karrody's question. Would she cease to exist or would she find that if she died, she would have to choose? She didn't believe in absolution, she didn't want to believe it and yet there was still that little doubt in the back of her mind...
"I don't know. What would it depend on? Experience? Sins? I care not to be forced, coerced or pushed into choosing. I ust want to choose on my own...now where I would go, I'm not sure at all."
She glanced up at him, a worried expression crossing her face.
"Indecisiveness, that's my problem. I wish to go one way and the road I want to take isn't there."

Listening intently, and perfectly quiet. Karrody simply stays where he is and doesn't move or do anything for that matter that would show that he is anything more then a marble statue adorned with clothes. He doesn't say anything the entire time she speaks. Even during her pauses he does nothing. He waits, seeming as though he knew she were going to speak again. Though it doesn't necessarily mean he knew, perhaps he just hadn't decided to reply by the time she had spoken again. Non the less, Karrody remains quiet the entire time she speaks.
After a few moments when she has finshed her little form of admitance about herself, Karrody finally says something. "If there isn't a road, take a trail. If there isn't a trail, take a path. If there isn't a path. Make your own. You never know, it might converge with other paths and become a trail. A trail might grow into a road."
"You will never know though if you don't make that first step alone. Remember though. The first step, whether on a road or a new path, is always alone. So you will never know what and with who, you tread untill make that first step." Then Karrody stops.
Tonight he has spoken more words then he could have imagined on such a night. Maybe there was a reason though. He seems to have a reason for everything he has done in the past. Maybe what he says is only done to better himself.

The winged girl stared at Karrody, listening to him speak. It may have been apparent by her stare that this was probably the best advice anyone (that was not an agent of heaven or hell) had given her. For the longest time she had believed in walking the different road, but there may have been circumstances manipulated to make her stray from the gray line and into the paths of absolution. Black and white, there was no room for another path, and so on. She had almost believed the story...almost.
Maybe she was just glad that someone else reminded her that there was another path to take, to continue the way she had, even if the person who told her appeared on his own terms.
All her thoughts condensed into a single action: a smile.
"I appreciate that, Karrody." She said, and then she would press a finger to her own cheek. Something had reminded her of that; the reason why she had hoped that Karrody would appear again. With that bit to remember, she was careful in turning to leave the ledge and onto the safety of the roof.
"Oh, I almost forgot..." Amber leaned in and kissed his cheek. No explaination why, that would come with a question.

As Amber Leans towards him, to kiss him on the cheek he looks towards her just as she speaks, her words having drawn his attention. Not noticing right away what she is doing, he opens his mouth to say something and then it happens. She kisses him, but not on the cheek like she had intended. Right on the lips.
He doesn't do anything, if someone else were watching from the sidelines, his expressions would change rapidly. First confusion, then a slight blush, and quickly back to confusion. Yes, Karrody can blush, though it is so quick that you would be hard pressed to see it, that isn't the only new experience.
As Amber moves away Karrody simply does nothing. He doesn't know what to say, whether he should say something or whether it should be her to say something, he doesn't know. He was caught unawares, and so he is speechless. Yes, another thing that doesn't happen unintentionally from him. Even as someone that preferes to speak very little, he usually always knows what he wants to say. This time though, is an exception as he remains quiet against his better judgement.

It was a little more than Amber had intended to happen, she had not given him a chance to speak (and didn't know that he was meaning to) and thus ended up kissing him...on the lips. It was quick, it was unintentional but being the kind girl that she was, she couldn't bring her self to apologize for what could not be undone. Her blushing was much more apparent than Karrody's and she took a step back, sharing in the silence that he was now exhibiting.
Was he upset at all by it, she wondered? Would he get the wrong idea about her? How awkward! If he turned out to be miffed by it, she would then apologize, but for now she clasped her hands behind her back and smiled at him.
"Ah, consider that a thank you...for saving my soul."
She bowed her head, both to avoid his gaze and trying to be mindful in what she would say next.
"I don't remember much about that night at that church, Karrody. What I do remember come in flashes of memory or appear my dreams. Even so..."
Her arms cross over her chest, maybe to save herself from falling apart; it was a painful memory to recall.
"I do remember that you stopped me from making a mistake. If you had not stopped me, I know I would have killed those girls, repeating a same mistake I had made before. Had they died by my hand, I would've lost a lot more of my soul than I did. Even if you didn't mean to do so, I'm grateful."
A little too late, Amber realized she had said something she had not intended to speak of. Maybe Karrody wouldn't pick up on it, and even if he did, it was likely she will not elaborate anymore about it. The winged girl looked up at him, seeming to recover quickly from the earlier awkward moment.
"As a formality for helping me, I would like to help you someday. If you don't mind..."

Karrody remains quiet as Amber explains her actions, and why she did what she did. He had regained his compsure quickly though it was still something that he wasn't thinking Amber to do. Yet it happened and she is the kind of person to be thankfull for help. It making sense to him he simply lets it go as though it were nothing.
"Worry nothing on it." He says finally after a few short moments of quiet pass between them. Not to confuse Amber or make her think the worst, though it is possible, he simply doesn't think on what he is going to say untill after she has spoken.
"Perhaps then," He begins again. "There was the reason for my being there. I can't allow things to happen in a way I would not approve. Unless I was a perveyor of somthing specific, I wouldn't want to allow it to happen another way." Karrody finishes. Maybe slightly confusing, or maybe not. Amber's past experiences with Karrody might allow her to know what he is talking about, but even then, it still might remain hard to see what he is talking about exactly.
