We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

Restless resting (Rayd)
It seemed that even though Ebony was now free and even at a new school, she was still a bit lonely. She wasn't saddened by it at all, nor was she happy about it either. She was more thankful than disappointed. Out here, in this lush meadow of mildly healthy grass, Ebony felt free. She was away from her father and out in the open. And while there was always the chance that he could find her, she was enjoying her freedom. She was grateful to be away from him, but at the same time, she was a bit lonely. Now that she was free, she wanted to meet new people and make friends.
She wanted a normal life like so many other had and she was deprived from. She was suppose to be resting and relaxing in this meadow but her loneliness met her a bit restless. Looking down at herself, she smiled. There were things that she was still happy about. She had her own sense of style now, all black. She had her black frilly dress on with her black gloves that covered most of her wrist and her black sandals with straps that wrapped around her legs. Standing there, in the middle of the bright meadow, Ebony stood out as much as her name, her almost all black figure drawing the attention as a unique sadden surround by happiness.
The meadow. A place Rayd never really visited all too frequently, though on occassion, he liked a change of location for his training. While Rayd never used to be one of the guys who trained 24-7, lately, his training had become more intense and it took up most of his time.
Rayd ran through the meadow at top speed, his black clothing standing out in the sunlight. His muscular arms tensed up as he launched into the air, still not noticing anothers presence as he did so, which was very unusual, as his powers of perception were vitually unrivaled, by anybody at the school anyway.
As Rayd launched himself into the air, he through 3 kunai into the sun, before suddenly, in a white flash disappearing. Almost instantly, Rayd appeared in the path of the weapons, catching them before launching them back down towards the ground. This was when he noticed the girl.
'What? I didn't notice her??? Shit.'
The kunai were already heading in her direction, and in an instant, Rayd teleported to the ground. This would be perfect to test out his new power. Rayd looked over his sunglasses, using his enhanced vision to calculate the correct path, before holding out one finger.
'Start point... End Point'
Rayd said as a thin white flash, cut through each of the kunai, destroying them before they hit the young lady. Rayd then rushed over to the firl, an apologetic look on his face.
"Are you alright? I'm so sorry about that... Normally, I would be wary of you and make an effort not to get too close during my training... But. I haven't been myself lately."
It was true. His thoughts had been on the war that he had got himself tangled up in, something he didn't want to be a part of... Not that he had a choice.
"My names Rayd. Nice to meet you."
And uneasy smile crossed his face as he extended his hand for the greeting, his eyes hidden by his jet black sunglasses. As he left his hand outstretched, his remaining hand lifted to brush some hair from his face, his uneasy smile turning into a grin. The grin was kind of his trademark, something he did out of habit

Ebony had not noticed anything until she was spoken to. She was in her own little world of self thought and deep emotions until it was broken by some one else, a male. He wore the same colors she wore and seemed to be apologizing for something.
"What were you training for?" She asked him, her head tilting to the side a bit. "I didn't see you at all until now." She said.
It was mainly due to her deep thoughts and reviewing her emotions. But she wasn't exactly the most perceptive person either. Hearing his introduction, she smiled, her feeling of loneliness slowly melting away a bit.
"Hello Rayd, my name is Ebony." She started her smile widening. "I'm kind of new here, so I didn't know people trained here for whatever they train for."
She stood innocently, her long legs barely visible due to her dress and her hand forming a 'V' over her chest and down her body. She gave off a more than cheering aura, despite her past. But most of all, she was just grateful.

Rayd raised an eyebrow when he had heard that she hadn't noticed him at all, not even when he had accidently thrown the kunai towards her. He quickly shrugged it off though, it was obvious she had been in deep thought about something.
"Not many people do. It isn't the number one training spot, in fact, i'm the only one I know of who has trained here. I just like a change of scenery thats all."
He then thought about her previous question. 'What were you training for?
"I was never really that big on training. Never really had a reason to do it. Most people train less because they have some big fight coming up, and more because they believe in some image they have to live up to. Seeing as I don't care about what others think of me, or my skills, i guess seriously training has never crossed my mind."
He paused, taking a deep breath before opening his mouth to continue, before pausing once more... The volume and tone of his voice suddenly changing to something more serious.
"... And sometimes, we are forced into a position where strength must be gained, for the battle that is life... And for those unlucky few, like myself, a battle larger than life."
He paused once again, frowning behind his sunglasses. Had he just said that? He shook his head, he was thinking about it too much, he had to change the subject.
"Uhh. So. Your new huh? How are you liking MHS so far?"

Ebony looked at him with the same smile that she always carried on her face. "I see, it sounds interesting." She said.
She looked around at the meadow and nodded. It was nice, which was probably why she was able to be at such peace here. And as he took in the scenery, the wind started to blow, making it all the more wonderful. As she turned back to face Rayd, her pink hair blew off to the side.
"How do I like it here?" She said, repeating his question. "It's alot better than where I use to be. This place may not seem like nothing to others, but it's a sanctuary of freedom for me. I love it here." She said with more excitement in her voice. "I even get to meet more people here. It's great." She giggled a bit as she said that, laughing at her own cheerfulness. She wasn’t use to such a thing when she was with her father. It was weird, but at the same time, she was happy about it.

Rayd smiled at Ebony's answer, as it was an answer Rayd could relate to.
"It seems like you and I have something in common then."
A sanctuary of freedom was a good way to describe the school, and it's surrounding area. It always seemed peaceful, and was a place Rayd had come to countless times when he had nowhere else to go.
"I came to this school after it became to dangerous to remain at home. Everyone was against me, the town, the cops, even my parents wanted me caught... Hell, probably even killed."
He wasn't sure what kind of thoughts ran through his parents minds about him. They never really did care that much about him before he obtained his powers let alone after he obtained them.
"I came to MHS and found a place where I could be safe and start fresh. There were of course some things from my past I couldn't run from, but I tried to take care of them as much as possible."
The curse that had been placed on Rayd was an example of this, but now that he had redeemed himself, the curse disappeared, and a new power had been gained. Now, it seemed he had one last test before his life could completely get back on track.

Ebony's eyes widened a bit as she listened to Rayd. In some ways, he was alot like her. They were both running away and trying to get their freedom. And while they were running for different reasons, they had both landed safely at MHS. With a wide smile, Ebony nodded to him.
"Well....no one wanted to kill me, but my father is an incestuous pedophile, so I had to escape." She said as it was her turn to hint at her past.
Unlike what most would think, she didn't have a problem with telling people about what happened to her. She hated her father and she'd do anything to bring down anything she could. And with the cheery attitude she always had, it was hard to tell her troubled past. But all was good now, she was free and while there was a chance of her father finding her, it was possible that she had people to protect her. But she had to meet them first. Friends were the best protects after all and as long as she wasn't alone, her father's dominance had no hold on her.
Looking at Rayd, she continued to smile. "Maybe we should be friends then!?"

Rayd's eyes widened a little as Ebony revealed her own reasons for coming to MHS, she was so open about it, and telling somebody she hardly knew didn't bother her at all. Rayd on the other hand, was different, when he revealed why he came to MHS, he left out the main point... Why everybody was after him.
'Maybe we should be friends then!?'
Rayd smiled and nodded. She seemed nice enough, so he thought to test her. Being at a place where there are a lot of 'wierd' people, you would think the sight of Rayd's eyes wouldn't bother anybody, but they often do. Rayd would see how his new friend would react, just a small test.
"Sounds like a good idea."
Rayd said as he removed his sunglasses and put them into his pocket, looking at Ebony, a grin on his face, and one eyebrow raised. Though his facial expressions weren't what stood out the most, it was the white eyes, no pupil, no iris, just white that would have no doubt caught her immediate attention. It's not just a normal white though, not like the white that usually surrounds a persons iris, it has more life to it, kind of like a star, but obviously not the same shape.
Rayd has noticed over the years that most people gasp and quickly break eye contact. He doesn't think any less of them for it, he understands, though the ones who stare back into them, study them even are the ones Rayd knows he can trust fully. Just a way Rayd judges people, something a little more accurate than a first impression.

Ebony smiled and nodded. "Okay!" She said glad to have made a friend.
And then, quickly after she had said that, the boy removed his sunglasses, revealing his all white eyes. For any normal person, they'd be confused, freaked out by his eyes. But Ebony was far from a normal person. They only person she really ever knew was her father and so, she expect other people to be much different from him. Seeing the eyes, Ebony didn't know any better but to think that they were normal. She didn't know that all white eyes were out of the ordinary, so she thought nothing of them. Instead, she looked at his sunglasses, smiling playfully.
"Can I try them on?" She asked innocently, wondering how his sunglasses would look on her. They seemed to have the same style and fashion, so was she pretty sure that they would fit her look.

Rayd raised an eyebrow as he looked at his sunglasses. Did she even notice? Either way, Rayd didn't care, and obviously she didn't, which made Rayd feel better about his new friend.
"... Sure go ahead."
He smiled as he handed her his sunglasses, not really lingering on the thought of her having no reaction to his eyes. It was refreshing actually, to think that there are people that don't shudder at the sight. He knew there were people that liked his eyes, but they always seemed to have a different first impression.
Rayd sat down in the grass and lay back, getting comfortable as Ebony tried on his sunglasses. He then thought for a while, everything silent, before he looked back up to her.
"So... We all have our gifts... Whats yours?
It was a common question for new people to be asked, given that this is a school for those with powers. While they stood out more in normal society, it's the unique powers that make the students stand out inside the school.

She looked at them for a second before putting them on. She took a little stance, crossing her arms over her chest and leaning back a little.
"How do they look?" She asked, unable to wipe the smile off her face.
She didn't have a mirror, but she felt she looked a bit awkward, but cute nonetheless. How ever she looked, it was sure to cause a few laughs for the moment and that's all she wanted really. And then, as Rayd asked about her power, she blinked, her eyes hidden behind the sunglasses.
"My gift....? Like my power...?" She asked, assuming that was what he meant. "I guess I'm kind of a summoner," She started, "Her name is violet, here, I'll show you." She finished, handing him back his sunglasses.
She then closed her eyes and within that second, she poofed into a small purple-haired fairy. She was not even six inches tall as she stayed floating in the air with her tiny little wings.
"Yosh!" Violet said flying over to Rayd. "Little 'bony is showing me off I guess." The little fairy said with a giggle. "I'm Violet, nice to meet ya!" She said extending her small little fairy hands.
IC: Rayd's eyebrow raised and he laughed as he saw the little fairy, not in a mocking manner, but in a surprised manner.
"Nice to meet you too. I'm Rayd."
Rayd said as he took the fairies hand between his thumb and forefinger and slowly shaking it.
"That's cool. So Violet, are you like, a magical fairy? With different powers?"
The fairy was pretty interesting actually, and he wondered about what other purposes she may have. A summoning ability would definately be a handy ability to have, especially if you were caught in a sticky situation.
