Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Rever's Edge
Amber dashed into the clinic with Yakoutio on her back. While she seemed calm, her mid was racing with thoughts, images, the crimson blood. Amber shook her head, those thoughts had to be put away, the lid shut as tight as she could make it.
There was an empty bed and Amber didn't hesitate to carefully slip Yakoutio off her back and into the bed. The healer woman would come soon, she always did.
Amber rested her hand on Yakoutio's forehead and felt a wave of guilt. Why didn't-couldn't she stop the fight, she wondered. Part of her replied "Because they're too stubborn, they wouldn't," but another part answered differently.
You chose the wrong course of action.
"I'm sorry."
A chair was set near the bed, and Amber quietly took the seat to wait. Until X-oshi was brought along and was under the care of the healer, it was the least she could do.
Vash entered the room a few seconds after Amber had taken a seat. The burden of X-Oshi was starting to get to him in his weakened state. Laying X-Oshi down, he collapsed into his own chair. His hat slumped down to strike a shadow over his whole face. He was beat, in more ways than one.
He then looked over to Amber. He knew she had questions. He knew she was going to want answers for those questions. It was eating him up inside. He didn't want to talk about it, but he knew he would have to. His lifestyle was just too strange even for his liking. He sighed under his breath, notenjoying the inevitable outcome.
"So, what is it you wanted to ask?" Vash said to Amber, almost as if he was reading her thoughts.
Re: Rever's Edge
Amber glanced at him from the corner of her eye when he spoke. It was not that she didn't have questions (many questions), she was just uncomfortable asking him so soon after he had literally lost himself. Amber wrung her hands together and after a few moments, she looked up at him. She was relieved, so relived to see that he was normal. She felt as if she was just waking up from a dream.
"I...have a couple," she said softly. She cast her eyes down at the floor, searching for the right words somewhere in her reflection on the tile. She could sense X-oshi and Yakoutio's sleping energies and found herself wishing she had been asleep.
"You explained it before, but what happened? You changed so quickly...and what was going through your mind-"
She stopped mid-sentance as flashes kept coming back. Not here, not here her mind frantically tried to shut the images away. Not here, she thought. Amber continued, forcing herself to look to Vash.
"That voice...I thought I heard another voice there. It felt like a nightmare, but being aware at the same time. What was that, Vash?"

Re: Rever's Edge
Vash looked to the floor, looking a little uneasy. He knew it was coming, but that didn't mean he had to like it. He felt slightly better though, knowing what Amber was. She was a half-breed as well. Surely she knew what trials he had to deal with. Maybe she didn't, but he liked to believe she did.
"My bloodrage. When I saw the other boy bite into Yakoutio's neck, something was triggered. Then everything went dark. I cannot remember much after that. My instinct takes over mostly when I am over taken by the rage. After that, I can remember attacking you and an angel girl. You had some sort of shield around you. It is such a mess within my head."
"As for the voice, he was...I...it was..."
Vash's hands started to tremble. He couldn't explain it, but he just couldn't bring himself to talk about Tepes. Something inside him still feared him. His powers were beyond his knowledge. He could have been listening to what he had just said. IT was a frightening thought to him. The fact still remained though, Amber needed to know. He just didn't know how to say it yet.
Amber gave him a reassuring smile. Somehow it seemed that he too was trying to find the right words, trying to find the right answer. She could wait until he was able say what he needed. Hope for it, that he could say what he needed to.
The girl in the black dress and delicate lace looked to the opposite end of the clinic watching the wall with a painting of a mountain range. Snow capped mountains against a lovely sky. Amber seemed distant as she spoke, hoping maybe that allowing herself to talk would allow Vash to say what he needed to.
"I think I understand...Sometimes, things trigger the memory, trigger the instinct. You can't seem to stop it, no matter how much you want it to stop. No matter what values or morals or memories you hold...no matter what or who is in your path..."
Amber suddenly looked forlorn. Flashes of crimson blood splattered against metal, of a scream from somewhere far away...the lid had popped open, and all it took was one moment in time. One feeling that would never leave. The girl clasped her hand around the pendelum around her wrist, clinging as if it would slip away.
"You can't always close the lid...is that how it feels to you?"
Re: Rever's Edge
"And then the voice." Karrody whispers, extra quiet, so that she can barely hear. Enshrouding the surrounding area in silence to prevent Vash from hearing his whispres for just the moment he spoke.
"Who might that have been?" Karrody continues inbetween Vash's and Amber's words. "But that which helps to bring forth this internal rage and thirst for blood."

Re: Rever's Edge
Vash squired in his chair, feeling a little uneasy again. He had to tell her, no matter what. She did understand his bloodrage, quite well in fact. He just didn't want to show any weakness, any vital spot that was vulnerable to attack. He spent so much time trying to appear to be the thoughest looking hunter ever, like he was untouchable. Now what was he? A pathetic little dunpeal who can face the toughest of vampires but a mere mockery of him and he's crying like a baby? <No...> he thought, <I must push those thoughts aside.>
"The voice...he was...he is...I uh..." he began, searching for the words. "Vladamir Tepes was like my second, more creul father. After defeating my real father and sentencing him to a public execution, Vlad took me in as his prized possession. I was his brain-child so to speak, and he wished for me to become just like a vampire. I had immunities that other vampires could only dream of, so I would be their ultimate warrior."
"He was a destructive man, though, and it was apparent he did not care for any living thing but myself. He tortured anyone who opposed him, savagely whipped his own followers and even took the weaker of his soldiers and killed them for fun in various ways I shall not repeat here. He is the lord of your fears and your nightmares and will use them against you as much as possible. His powers reach far beyond that, to an extent I do not even know, but those two things are his favorite methods. The voice in the auditorium, beyond the shadow of a doubt, was his. He is now here in America. He wants me to go meet him. I..."
Vash stopped there, not sure if he could continue. Once again his pride got in the way. The chills that were sent up his spine just thinking about meeting Tepes face to face once again were bad enough. The things Tepes had instore for him were infinate, and Vash didn't like that prospect.
Re: Rever's Edge
Amber listened quietly as Vash explained the voice, the horrible nightmarish voice that they would both want to forget.
What a horrible man...
The expression on her face was sadness, such burdens the people around her had in their lives. Yakoutio had to deal with those men in the tacky suits and Vash had to deal with a man whose cruelty knew no bounds.
"I can see why you're hesitant on seeing him...I heard his voice, though I'm not sure how or why. It was such a scary voice, I thought it was just me."
The winged girl looked over at him with a look of concern on her face.
"Are you going to see him? I mean...are you ready to face him now? He seems dangerous...like those men in the strange suits." She looked at the pendelum in the palm of her hand, a dim violet light glowing inside of it now.
Re: Rever's Edge
"What choice do I have?" Vash said. "I am surely not strong enough to defeat him and I am sure negotiations are far past due. Still, you heard what he said. I cannot let all of you suffer for my selfish reasons."
He then twisted his jacket with his hands, almost not believing what he just said. He knew he had a righteous way about him, but Tepes was that which went bump in the night for him. He was a nightmare, a shadow over Vash's existance. He had powers beyond comprehension. Still, he couldn't stand idle by while his new friends were taken apart piece by piece. The hunter then smirked. Friends, it was still a strange concept to him.
Re: Rever's Edge
What choice did he have? An inevitable answer to a question that Amber will soon have to face herself. She bowed her head, staring at the light in the pendelum while he spoke.
"I understand how you feel about that...however, I wouldn't want to see you suffer either. None of us would want to see you hurt by this man."
No one should suffer so much...not Yakoutio, not Vash...not anyone.
Amber clasped her hand around the pendelum. It carried her thoughts, carried her questions that one day she would be strong enough to face alone. She did understand the need to keep her friends from harm.
Are they now friends to me? I feel so alive around them...
She lifted her head and faced him with a sad smile on her face.
"If you're not ready...then don't go. He may have such a hold on you, but no matter if he is your second father or not, you are your own person. If you get stronger, you can beat him. I'm sure that you can."
It seemed like such a simple answer, Amber knew it from the moment it pased her lips. If only her answers were just the same. Esier said than done, as the saying goes. His answer will probably be the same; from what she knew of him Vash was like that, headstrong.
Re: Rever's Edge
Vash looked as if he was abou to say something, but then stopped. She was right. Everything would be fine and he just needed to go about his regular routine. Empty threats, that's all it was.
"You're right. I need to calm down..."
He said it to her, but it still didn't feel right. Something was out of place. It felt as if he was making the wrong decision, but he wrote it off as going against his nature. It still felt bad though, like a shadow over his future. Whatever it was, he knew it wouldn't be good.
He then set that aside and looked around. The nurse had yet to come in and they had been waiting quite awhile. Vash was starting to worry. His fears grew when he remembered the were still bleeding. Through his panicked thoughts, Vash remained calm and began to look around for some bandages.
"Well, seeing as the nurse is not here yet, we may want to at least stabalizes these two. Care to search for some bandages to cover their wounds?"
After rumaging through all the cupboards, Vash finally found a roll of gause bandage. He took the bandages and walked over to Yakoutio. He began to banadage up the wound that he had created himself. The blood had still been trickling out and he thought it best to try and stop it.
"Thanks for the help..." Vash spat out like acid as he shot Amber a cold look.
He couldn't believe she could just sit there as her friend bled. Come to think of it, Amber generally didn't help anyone in trouble. All she did was stand there and beg for it to stop. Strange...
He then blinked his eyes and tried to get thoughts like that out of his head. His dark side was still powerful. It wanted to still feed. It kept giving him excuses to do so, anything it could muster. The new blood was pulsing through his veins and it gave him that vampiric edge. He then opened his eyes and continued to bandage Yakoutio's neck.
Re: Rever's Edge
((OOC: -.- I was waiting out of courtesy for Healer-lady to post...*shrug* Ah well.))
"Thanks for the help..."
Amber felt the spite in his voice, and if she had been more awake she would've flinched. Was it right to rummage around someone else's office? She understood the circumstances but she also had been taught not to do such things. Trying to stay out of trouble, trying not to instigate her bout of bad luck.
She stood up and avoided Vash's gaze, walking over to the cabinet. Gauzes, bottles of rubbing alcohol, tongue depressors, all were neatly arranged. She picked out a roll of gauze and a tube of antibacterial oitment. She walked back over to X-oshi and started applying the bandages and ointment to his bite wound, completely silent. The winged girl seemed quite adept at it, quickly bandaging the wound and any other ones he may have received from the fight with Yakoutio.
When she was done, she replaced the first aid items on the countertop. She had helped out a human, though she still felt it. The feeling would never vanish, no matter what she did to make up for it. There was a window by the beds, and Amber walked over to it, staring outside at the bare trees. Not a leaf on them and though the window was closed, she could tell she would shiver if she had stepped outside now.
"I'm useless, okay?" she said to Vash, replying to his earlier comment, replying to the things the haunt said before and speaking to the images in her mind. She didn't mean to say it, but it felt the same to her. Her tone was both a dull anger and a wavering sadness. She leaned her forehead against the window, the cool glass seeping into her warm forehead.
God save your soul, human...sanctus mortis.
"I'm horrible..." she closed her eyes and her hand clenched against the glass. Her wings hid what emotion she had on her face. "If you want to rub that in, fine. Go ahead."

As Ms. Hanabishi walks out of a room in which she had just finished helping a boy who somehow had fallen from the roof of the dormitories, she seems exhausted after spending the last hour and a half caring for his greivous injuries. She is handed a sheet explaining two seriously injured patients in a nearby room.
Running through the halls she gets to the room to see the two students doing what they can to help there two friends. "Oh goodness. Forgive me." The nurse says as she rushes in to look at the two injured students. Reaching Yakoutio first she scans over his injuries.
"Excuse me Vash." She says politely as she gets closer to him. Putting her hands above Yakoutio, her hands glow a light blue as she scans over Yakoutio's body. Finding the most serious of injuries just below her hands, a reddish light glows between her hands and Yakoutio as the bleeding comes to a stop. Then her hands have a violet glow below them as she speeds the process of healing for his greatest injuries.
After caring for his most serious injuries she looks over the bandages that Vash has applied. Seeing that they have been set correctly, and making adjustments and fixing them where needed she then moves to X-oshi.
Re: Rever's Edge
Vash quickly steps aside as the nurse come into the room. Thank god she finally made it. He didn't know exactly how long the two would have survived under his shotty care, along with Amber's slightly more experience hands. He then walked over to the half-angel slowly. Standing behind her, he looked out the window as well. The day had been wasted away with the fighting, as usual.
"I...Amber...Stop speaking such lies." he fumbled out.
He didn't know what else to say. He had never been one for emotional ties. His past had been full of lies and deceit. He could trust few in Vlad's home and even those people were prone to being traitorous if it threatened their lives. It was a difficult thing for him to come to terms with. With no other course of action, Vash simply tilted his hat down further, feeling ashamed for saying anything at all in this time of guilt.
Re: Rever's Edge
She didn't respond, but she was staring at the reflection in the glass. The nurse lady was there, and she was glad to see her; Yakoutio and X-oshi were in better hands now. She looked exhausted, poor thing.
"Is it a lie?" She said in her softest voice, sounding as if she could cry. She knew it wasn't, as she could remember the holy words, the other being that resided in her that spoke such holy words and brought horror at the same time. Her hand rested on the glass, but she stared outside without focusing on anything in particular.
"I'm sorry," she said again, glancing up at him. Her eyes were a little misty but she had not cried at all. "It's that feeling. I can't lock it away..."
She looked over at the nurse taking care of Yakoutio and X-oshi. At least they will be all right, with someone who wasn't useless.
Re: Rever's Edge
Vash stared back at Amber, the shadow of his hat hiding his forelorn face. He knew exactly how she felt. Another force inside her, something she couldn't understand, and something that could control her. Then again, this wasn't the first time they had had something in common because of their heritage.
"I have no idea what to say. Everyone has their demons they must conquer. Most often, we must do it alone. As harsh as that may seem, it is quite true. Though, you always have friends to help you through the exaustion, suffering and toil of completing your conquest of your inner demons."
Vash really had nothing else to say. It was the same thing he had told Yakoutio, though this time in his own words. It was all he could really say, but it was from experience. He had gone through the same thing and still had not finished his own quest for freedom. The last fight had shown that.
Re: Rever's Edge
"You're right," she said softly. What she had done was done, and there was little she could do to rectify it. It wasn't fair, but then neither was everything else she will have to face. She would have to deal with that guilt alone. Overwhelming, painful.
But I didn't mean to do that...I didn't want to...take it all away!
"What do you do with that guilt?" She asked him, lowering her voice so that only he could hear. He would understand her question more than anyone, she felt that. Suddenly, Amber spoke again. She had made a decision, and she needed time to be alone. Just enough so that she could close the lid of that horrible memory.
"I need to talk to you. Later. It's important. Okay?"
Amber walked over to the chair she had been sitting in. She looked over at Yakoutio, then to X-oshi. They were both strong people, they would recover well hopefully they would learn to get along sometime.
If I tell him, would he judge me too? If I tell anyone...that will be my answer to find.
She bowed her head thankfully at the healer-lady and left the clinic without another word, not stopping until she could find a place to collapse and collect herself again.
Re: Rever's Edge
Vash simply tipped his hat at Amber's request. He couldn't just leave one of his only friends to suffer. It wasn't right to do that. He had to help her through whatever means he could and listening was always a good start.
She then left on a whim it seemed, though he had ideas of why. Most likely to deal with her small outburst of guilt and self-pity. It seemed to be the most obvious, but not the first. He had also thought of her just wanting to keep her distance from him for awhile because of what he had done. It was difficult, but he pushed that thought aside. He knew those around him wouldn't judge what he was because they all had their problems.
Vash then sighed heavily, becoming intraverted to settle some of his own demons. Tepes was close and he didn't have the means to even touch him yet. The problem was he would start attacking his friends soon. The murmurs of threats started once again, though they were not as prevelant as last time. Simply just a reminder, no doubt. It was irritating, and it visibly shook Vash. His fear of his captor was great, but he needed to overcome it if he ever had a hope of defeating him. Even to defend his friends and family he needed to stop being afraid like he was when he was little. For once, judgement was upon him...
Re: Rever's Edge
After moving to X-oshi, Miss Hanabishi does the same as before that she had done to Vash. Her hands move to the injuries most serious on X-oshi's body to accelerate their healing as her abilities show their use.
All the while she helps the student, Amber and Vash continue their conversation and just moments before she finishes caring for X-oshi, Amber leaves the nurses office alone.
Placing X-oshi in a more comfortable position she looks inquiringly to Vash as the girl has left alone.
Re: Rever's Edge
"You run now." The voice that has followed her begins, this time with a little distance audible between her and it's origin. "And then you hide out her alone."
"Why you start such unenjoyable conversations, yet never seem to finish them would be beyond me if I didn't know you for what you are."
Pausing and not speaking what he would think she is, he allows her to use her own imagination and think what a thing that mayhaps despises her might think of her.
"So where to next huh. The dorms to perhaps break up a friendship of room-mates, or perhaps the Garden to ruin somebody's hard peace or presence."
