Self harm links
The National Self-Harm Network is a UK focused survivor-led organisation, founded in 1994. We're committed campaigners for the rights and understanding of people who self-harm.

'When you are small there is no protection from shame, and now that you are older your attempts to keep the unsafe out cost you more then you can imagine. We need to breath in the direction of danger and to sing. We must not only be wounded - for surely all of us are that, but be willing to suffer the terrifying healing with its stations of humiliation, shame, endurance and grief'
- Sark, Succulent Wild Woman, 1997.

Re: Self harm links
The Self Harm Alliance is a voluntary organisation, run by a former self-harmer. The site is very informative with a fantastic friends and family page. They offer e-mail and telephone help and support (although the phone line is very limited as they do not have a lot of staff).

If you join the mailing list you receive a monthly newsletter containing help topics and sufferers stories, poems etc. The woman who set-up this organisation has featured on the Radio 1 show "The Sunday Surgery" when it periodically discusses self-harm. Her advice on that has always been fantastic.
