Islamic Paths ezOP Posts: 59 (10/7/01 10:06 am) Reply	Shedding Someone's Blood The Holy Qur'an tells us, [2:178] O ye who believe! the law of equality (a) is prescribed to you in cases of murder..." and the Holy Prophet extended that by saying, "The most hated persons to Allah are three: (1) A person who deviates from the right conduct, i.e., an evil doer, in the Haram (sanctuaries of Mecca and Medina); (2) a person who seeks that the traditions of the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance, should remain in Islam (3) and a person who seeks to shed somebody's blood without any right." The key to this is the third type of person - shedding someone's blood without right. To all of those thirsting blood either in retribution, in anger or in jealous rage, remember that Allah is watching and that the law of equity must be adhered too.
