Through the yard that was the quad, Ebony walked with her head hung low and her usually face of sadness. She had finally escaped her father only to end up in a place like this. A school that held special people and while she was grateful that it was better than home, she was a little saddened by the fact that she couldn't get a taste of normal life yet. But Ebony couldn't be selfish. She couldn't ask for more than what she was given, after all, she was free. But now, she was even more alone than ever and her silence didn't help soothe such a pain. Her thoughts seemed to wander alot now, as she didn't know what to do with herself. But at least there were enough people around to watch. One such example had popped up just at that moment as she walked through the quad. A boy, probably a student was over on a table with books and eating something. He was reading and in turn, paying no attention to her. And so, Ebony sighed and continued walking, unable to say anything because she was a mute.
