June 1st - June 19th
It's almost summer! The last few weeks of school have come, and students will need to study hard for their final exams! Don't let up yet, or your grades won't be what you want them to. Of course, the weather is almost perfect and pristine, in attempts to lure students away from their studies.

Sixth/Seventh Years, Class Two (8:30am - 10:00am)
With a wide yawn, Finn meandered into her classroom. What were they thinking of, scheduling classes for eight thirty on a Monday morning? What kind of sick people thought that idea up? And, oh joy, she had the toughest class of all - the sixth and seventh years. It wasn't that there was anything wrong with them... it's just that Finn couldn't quite shake the idea that they might know more than her. Still, she was the teacher, and as long as they didn't know of her doubts, everything would be fine. She hoped.
In her arms was held a glass tank, approximately two-feet in length, a foot wide and a foot deep. It was covered in a sheet of black cotton, which trailed beneath it like a veil. Carefully she set it on her desk, and perched herself next to it. Knowing she was a couple of minutes early, she drew her wand from her pocket and began to twirl it idly between her fingers.

Sean yawned all the way to his Care of Magical Creatures class. He had stayed up late the night before writing letters to all of his friends in Australia and New Zealand. He felt that it was a good thing to keep corresponding with them so that their relationships didn't die.
As Sean reached the doorway to the room he bounced on the balls of his feet a little bit to help wake him up. He straightened his yellow colored tie and fixed the color of his shirt. He didn't like looking unkempt. No matter how tired he was there was no excuse to look it. Although he would have to say that he has on several occasions been victom to untidiness, completely contradicting his idea of dressing messy.
Sean new that he was early and he didn't really mind. It just meant that he didn't have to run to class and get all out of breath when he was going to be late. And beside, he was a prefect after all and he didn't want to set a bad example. So now, a little more awake he opened and entered his classroom.
Yup, he had been right. He was early. In fact he was the first one to class. With a smile on his face he walked to a desk in the middle of the room, eyeing a covered object curiously that he saw on the professors desk. As he sat down and placed his shouldar bag on the floor he asked the teacher, "What's the deal today, Professor?" He asked, generally interested. He liked this class. He found it entertaining and informative. So he always tried to put his best effort forward and ask any questions that he had.

Though she had almost literally dragged herself to her first class of the day, Carsa was right on Sean's tail as he arrived at the Care of Magical Creatures class. Professor Calloway was another new teacher, though that clearly didn't mean anything; both Professor Hymnwood and Professor Mitchell were new as well, and both were highly qualified for their positions. Being an older student and able to compare, Carsa even believed that Professor Hymnwood was a strong improvement over Professor Sprout whose classes were always very useful but extremely dull.
Carsa fought back a yawn. There was no room for drowsiness when they were about to deal with actual living creatures. Though her appearance was as flawless as ever, there were dark shadows under her eyes. A subtle hint that the term and her sleepless nights were beginning to take their toll on her.
Carsa stared at what Professor Calloway had brought with her. New teachers had a tendency of overdoing things so that class was fun, thus establishing a nice reputation with the students. She understood that being labelled the boring teacher couldn't be all that fun.
Carsa wished her friends could arrive more quickly to class. It was always so awkward and unpleasant to be around students from other houses alone. And ever since Bryce came into her life, classes always seemed to go by so much faster. She hated to think that by the end of the year it would all be over. He would graduate, and she would have to go through her final year without him. At least Tony would still be around, but it just wasn't the same.

It should be made a crime to have lessons this early, was all Tony could think of as he walked to his Care of Magical Creatures class. The boy looked as though he had just gotten out of bed; his hair messily falling over his face and his shirt half tucked into his pants. His tie, well, it was barely even tied but hung loosely around his neck.
As Tony stumbled into class about half a minute after Carsa, he immediately fall into a chair right behind Carsa's. Almost inaudibly, he mumbled a greeting to his Slytherin friend and gave a small nod to Sean. He did not say anything to Professor Calloway, however, but stared curiously at the tank on her desk.
No matter how sleepy Tony was, you couldn't keep the Ravenclaw in him locked up. There must have been a good reason Professor Calloway had covered up the tank from view and Tony suddenly felt wide awake, trying to guess what Creature they'd be studying today.
Sean seemed to be thinking the same thing Tony was when he said, "What's the deal today, Professor?" At once, Tony's ears perked up, ready for the lesson.

Evander was on time, as per usual, and actually found himself to be the fourth person to have arrived in the classroom. The other three, aside from Professor Calloway of course, were Carsa, Sean, and Tony Menon, a sixth year from Evan’s house. Though Evander prided himself in having friends from all of the four houses and in all of the seven years, he always felt that he had a somewhat stronger bond with the people from his own house. This might have been attributed to the fact that he saw them more frequently and probably had more in common with them than his friends from the other houses, though he never usually thought about it.
He watched as Tony went from half-asleep to wide-awake in a matter of seconds, all because of the question posed by Sean. It was a good question; Evan was always willing to know ahead of time what they would be learning that day, if the Professor chose to divulge the information prior to the lesson’s beginning. He had to admit that he wasn’t a morning person at all, though his attention had also been perked by the veiled item in the front of the room.
Plopping himself down in the nearest empty seat like he usually did, Evan wondered if they would need their wands today. Care of Magical Creatures tended to be a more hands-on type of class, though the Professor was playing with her own wand in the front by the veiled container. Of course, this may have absolutely nothing to do with anything, it was just his observation…

Jesse Bowen trudged into the Care of MAgical Creatures classroom, still rubbing the sleep from his eyes. His eyes watered slightly as his mouth stretched into a big yawn. Whose bright idea wa it to schedule a class during his precious sleeping time?
He attempted to fix his hastily administered to tie. He wasn't in much of a mind to remember whethere it was over under or around under or. . . His mind began to wander.
As he entered the classroom he realized, in a dazed way, that his shirt was untucked, and his uniform was slightly dissheveled. His hair was it's usual, hopelessly messy, self. It looked good that way, though. He attempted to smooth the creases in his pants as he took a seat.
He was only the fifth person to arrive, and noticed that everyone one was lookin anxiously at a veil-covered tank on the professor's desk. He, too, turned to have a look at the object in question. He was curious to find out what the lesson would be about today.

Temper and Trey entered together, looking rather grumpy with one another. A scowl drew itself across Temper's pouty lips and Trey sported one of his usual smirks, though it looked more annoyed than playful. Obviously, neither of the two were morning people and they had taken out their lack of enthusiasm about such an early class on eachother. However, this did not mean they looked any worse than usual -- in fact, they made the uniforms look well... far more fashionable than they were meant to.
They took a seat on either side of Tony, using him as a sort of barrier between the two. Trey gave him a simple nod before staring lazily ahead. Temper couldn't quite manage a smile, being as annoyed by Trey as she would, but she gave Tony a little pat on the arm, rolling her eyes as if to indicate to him what a pest her dear cousin was.
