Hi All,

94 Model SSRX Limited
1KZ-TE
KZN-130

Had my surf for 4 weeks now and up until now the temp guage never moved above half way, even on a long trip. Today while climbing a mountain in 26 degrees it suddenly moved above half and got to just below 3 quarters, when I pulled over and had a look under the bonnet. There didn't seem to be any problem. So after a couple of minutes the temp went back to normal and I continued my ascent. After another Klm or so It happened again but after backing off - back to normal. I have read about this same thing happening in a few threads on this site. Really seems like these things don't like long hills as others have suggested.

Now the only thing I can find wrong is the thermofan seems to be doing bugger all. It kicks in - I can hear it switch but It spins so slowly when on that I can see the blades. This is not correct I assume.

Has anyone done a clutch on the thermofan. Do you think this is the sole cause of my slight overheating problem.

And sorry for the long post....

Paul
