An embarassing 20-odd points from 35 available voters. We came umpteenth behind Ukraine (winners), Turkey, Greece, Serbia-Montenegro, Spain, Germany, Malta, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, A Tiny Island In The Med With A Fig Tree And An Old Man And A Dog, bla bla bla....
So the singer wasn't off key. Wow, that picked up those valuable single-figure points from a handful of countries. They were suggesting trying going for a performance-based entry rather than a straight song next time. How about not scraping the bottom of the reality-tv barrel for starters...
Re: James is Lush
He was pretty good on the night and can cut it live.. but not even that can disguise the fact that the song was utter shite. Completely not a eurovision song.
Re - last night's voting
The only way the UK is going to win Eurovision again is to have a civil war and split itself into 10 different countries. All of these would submit different entries into Eurovision and all vote for each other.
I doubt even Katrina and the Waves would have won last night - and her song was far superior to anything there.
