I totaly agree with you, I knew that someone was going soon but never expected it to such a main character. Her farewell was done amazingly well especially with the part with Carter mentioning everyone that is still at the SGC thanks to Janet, it was really touching.
Re: Fraiser the Hero
Not a sap atall, Like I said I did, Top marks for a very moving episode, I shall also miss Teryl's perfomances and I challenge any true Stargate fan not to atleast have a sizeable lump in there throat at some point during that episode. I must congrat them on giving you the best interpretation of the footage of your not seeing her die so much as saving a life, that was a very nice philosophical viewpoint that makes it even more powerfull I feel.
Re: Fraiser the Hero
Gosh...wow...I cried and I have never done that before whilst watching Stargate....yes it was sad to see Janet make her bow...but only doing what she did best...saving lives....so this is a fitting tribute to Teryl and her portrayal of Janet Fraiser, SGC doctor extrordinaire.
(And thank goodness they showed this AFTER SG -7).
Well, script writers, actors and crew....we are not
It really grabbed me, and as a few of you have said, any stargate fan who watches this episode and dosnt feel something, or get tears in their eyes, isnt a true stargate fan !!
Sad goodbye
Guys it has to be said I was not expecting that it was true that they killed her off. I was hoping it was all a trick....and like comments already posted if you don't or can't shed a tear then you don't truly believe in the stargate....
I will own up to the fact that if I ever want a good CRY I will put Meridian on because the tears start flowing once we get to the part of Daniel asking Jack to tell the rest of the guys to stop and let him go.
On one occasion I was in a need of a cry and once the episode had finished I had to change my sweatshirt as it was soaking from the tears.
So if I am sad then so be it.....I don't care

Re: Sad goodbye
Well,
what can I say about Heroes part 2...............I knew the death was coming for a while now, but that still didn't stop me from having a huge lump in my throat. I've always liked the character of Janet Frasier and always hoped she went off-world more with SG-1. Teryl is such a great actress and was totally suited to the role.
Whilst watching this episode, when Jack got shot and the reaction from all afterwards, i did for a slight moment believe that they had filmed multiple endings and that in fact janet survived and it was Jack who bit the dust. During this time my fingernails were getting shorter and shorter!
Anyway, great scripted episode.........we'll miss ya Doc!
